Couldn’t agree more. Kimbo wasn’t intelligently defending himself for a good while at the end of round two. It should have been stopped there. He landed a couple good shots that dazed Thompson in round three but he didn’t finish him. They stopped it and handed it to KS, which is BS. Also, the Lawler stoppage was crap as well. I think Lawler would have taken him by the end but that little poke in the eye only had a moments impact. He was ready to go within 60 seconds and telling the ref so. Unless his retina was detached (which I never heard mentioned) I call BS on the DR stoppage. The best fight was the ladies. Thank god for them. Other than their bout..this whole show sucked hind end and did nothing for the sport. Thanks XC!!!!!!!! The sport finally gets a huge show case and these butt puppets screw it up!!!

I totally agree with you Kam. I was at the Prudential Center, and I thought that the matches were great. It did stink that they stopped the fight, but Thompson was a punch or two away from being knocked out!

That was a great main event fight, you sissies just hate anything not UFC, 99% of viewers arent as high brow bitches like they are here, they just want to see a good fight, and they did the sports bar I was at was PACKED TO CAPACITY and everybody was going nuts, cheering and yelling and had a blast during the Kimbo fight, but you guys were in moms basement judging Kimbos hip placement, and ground technique, how he should have hipped out etc.etc.etc., the average guy with a life doesnt just wants action.

I am a long time fan of MMA but the CBS(Elite XC) fights tonight were the worse I’ve ever seen as far as production goes, not necessarily the fights… this goes for commentators, refs, and doctors. The whole thing was pure garbage from the cuts from commercials to come back to dancers to go back to commercials taking like 10-15 mins for nothing. To the commentators not knowing what they were talking about half the time, saying things like “this is whats going to happen in this fight” before the rounds even started, or “wow this guy is in trouble” from hits that do nothing to the top veteran fighters. Both stoppages(the Smith fight and Kimbo fight) were just plan stupid. Smith got pocked in the eye and wasn’t given 1 minute to recover let alone the 5 minutes he should of been allotted, and the Kimbo fight got called when Thompson was still on his feet and fighting why??? Because his ear started to bleed??? Let alone the fact that their “main event” was the Kimbo vs. Thompson fight not the Lawler vs. Smith title fight. Why? Because Kimbo was/is a youtube street fighter?? Which to this point the announcers seem to say that these fighter were here for the money not to sport. I watched 3 hours of this crap and got 30 minutes worth out of it. The fighters put on a great show… the Gina vs. Kaitlin fight was a hell of a battle as well as the Lawler vs, Smith battle (till the doctors stoppage…) But in the long and short of it… I’ll not be watching this Elite XC garbage again… I’ll catch the 5 mins of highlights on the internet…

I’ve taken sh!ts more entertaining than those fights. In the first hour there was only 2 min worth of fighting.
