Once again MMAmania.com Senior Writer Jesse Holland was back with “Mr. Sunshine” Steve Cofield on ESPN Radio to preview the UFC 84: “Ill Will” pay-per-view (PPV) event that takes place Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.
To check out the audio click below:
During the segment, Jesse and Steve discuss Tito Ortiz’s swan song, the fine line between hype and insanity in the upcoming Sherk/Penn fight, and whether or not Wanderlei Silva will be his old self or just plain old when he faces Keith Jardine on Saturday night.
There’s more, but if I told you everything then there would be no reason to listen to the audio, right?
Big thanks (as always) to Mr. Sunshine for having us on.

Nice to see some air time for the sport and also for this site! Good job!
That was good. I pretty much agree with everything you said Jesse.
NICE! I agree with just about everything man, way to do the site proud man! BJ BJ BJ!!!
OT: Just read that Irvin is out for 85. Hope it’s not true!
Where did you see this?! I really hope it is untrue.
Good to see the site getting in the spotlight.. Haha but I still can’t believe that’s Jesse’s voice..
VERY good analysis, way to represent the best mma site on the net!
I’ve been telling everyone who would listen that Sherk has a real shot in this fight. Sherk’s wrestling isn’t good, it’s suffocating. If Sherk can keep the fight on the mat, he’s going to walk away with the strap. It all depends on how easily Sherk gets the takedowns. Sherk is tough to submit, partly because he has no neck. Realistically I think BJ’s best chance of winning will be standing. BJ will have to get a TKO or a submission within the first couple rounds. If they make it to round three, Sherk’s odds of winning increase dramatically.
I still think BJ is the favorite, but I think this fight is close.
Yeah, probably the best of the best when it comes to Lay n’ Pray.
Nice job!
nice jesse.
and to think I thought you were just a good writer…
great job
damn james irvin broken foot, i was looking forward to that fight. ufc 85 is looking worse now
I don’t think watching Rashad taking down Irvin would have been that exciting. Either watching him try to take down Chuck while Chuck sprawled and brawled would have been better or watching Rashad taking Thiago down only to have submission attempt after submission attempt convince him he should have stayed standing would have been more entertaining.
