I agree that was horrible. They are doing a horrible job marketing this. They just expect everyone to know who fedor is and how get of a card this is. The truth is most of the people that would buy an mma event like this don’t. They know liddell, ortiz, even tim silva but not fedor. You have the best fighter in the world so educate the public about him.

Exactly, video ok, but why the cheap salesman?… I hate organizations that think they’re selling to an unintelligent audience that has no imagination… I just hope the rest is quality… it will be easy to overlook a few minor things. They’d better have their camera work and ‘great’ announcers, anyone know who those announcers are?
I’m also a little confused about the ‘banned’ theme…
I live in Orange County and they already had radio commercials promoting this event today. Crazy…

I watched the first 25 seconds and wondered what was so bad about the promo that it had to be banned. Continue with the class. I’m caught up now.
The promo wasnt that great, but I think this will be the best event to date outside of the UFC since Pride was killed.

i liked it. im easy to please though.
Im am not going to critasize a company that is trying to provide hard core fans with a card with a dream match, 3 top 5 HW’s, top 5 middleweight, and Babalu who was good enough to get 2 fights against chuck liddell

cuz they’ve been banned from having fighters wear affliction gear in the ufc and elite xc….
Seems a bit rushed especially at the end it does sound like some car dealer. They need to lengthen it some and show some Fedor highlights, would improve it by huge giant leaps if they did.

They definetely needed to show highlights and get rid of that horribe voice over. This is the first show that isn’t in UFC that I find to be worth watching. I am the MMA GUY at this one food place that shows UFC events. I will definitely tell them to order this. It’s pretty excting.

Untrue they can use highlights. UFC ussed kage kombat highlights in the beginning because all the fighters fought in kage kombat before the Zuffa owned UFC. As long as they don’t show the whole fight.

I know anything can happen in a fight but.. tim sylvia is going to get his ass kicked. I can’t wait!
I don’t know. FEdor has not been tested in a really long time. Tim has been in there with the best time and time again. While Fedor was fighting Raving circus side show freaks like Hong Man Choi(What ever his name is) and fighting Matt Linland who weighted in with bricks in his pockets and snickers bars in his mouth to make weight, Tim was fighting Randy Couture,Big Nog, Brandon Verra JEff Monson and Arlovski. Even when Fedor fought Matt Linland; The bell rings, Linland catches Fedor with a Nasty overhand, dazes and splits him like a watermelon in season. You have to question how that fight may have gone had Fedor not held on to the top rope, like a 10 year old boy grabbing his penis after first discovering the magical awe of masturbation. So aside from his unbeaten record in my mind I give Tim the advantage, and am actually praying for him to win. I would love nothing more then to have The Maniac crush Randy Couture’s dream fight hype. Tim has a great Takedown defense, an awesome jab that has kept some of the best at bay, a great head kick, a really good guard off of his back, and most importantly I believe that Affliction is going to be in a cage, which has to give Tim a huge advantage, since FEdor has always fought in the ring. Knowing how to use that cage properly can totaly make or break your ability to survive. I would not be in the least bit surprised if Tim walks away with the win. Go TIMMY!

they should have instead used the guy for the ufc promos or the guy that does every promo for every movie.

I like all of the promo except the VO.
They should really put some highlights, especially for the main event (i.e. the Fedor vs Sylvia fight). With highlights of Fedor pounding the cr*p out of Nogueira (the current UFC interim champ), Cro cop, and others like Heath Herring should get more casual fans much more interested in this fight.
Ppl who dont know Fedor would go “Dang, this russian dude beat the sh*t out of Nogueira, the UFC champ! He also threw Herring around like a sack of potatoes!” (I used Nogueira and Herring since they have a decent amount of exposure to casual MMA fans, namely the UFC fanboys that sometimes do not really know much about real MMA)
they got a bunch of UFC losers. Couldn’t make it in the ufc, go to affliction banned. Yeapy Ya Yay. I rather watch reruns of good matches.
Ben Rothwell is can, who cares if he’s on the card or not
