Adrenaline MMA has amended the initial fight line up for its debut event at the Sears Centre in Chicago, Ill., on June 14, to include 14 total bouts with a few additional changes to those matches previously announced.
It still features some familiar names and faces, including the main event between Jason Guida and relatively unknown but talented local product, Mike Russow.
Here’s the revised fight card:
Main event:
Jeff Monson vs. Jason Guida
Main card:
Daiju Takase vs. Terry Martin
Zac George vs. Clay French
Tony Fryklund vs. Brian Gassaway
Jeff Cox vs. Bart Palaszewski
Tiawon Howard vs. Rory Markham
Anthony Lapsley vs. Mark Miller
Herc Hayes vs. Kerry Schall
Rob Kimmons vs. Hector Urbina
Aaron Rosa vs. Ron Fields
Louis Taylor vs. Adam MaciejewskiPreliminary bouts:
Dom O'Grady vs. Mike Stumpf
Joe Jordan vs. Ryan Williams
Joe Pearson vs. John Hosman
Not participating on the card, clearly, are the two biggest stars of the upstart promotion — former UFC heavyweight champion Tim Sylva and former undefeated IFL standout Ben Rothwell. Both fighters have been loaned out and will participate on the debut Affliction show at the Honda Center in Sacramento, Calif., on July 19.
In fact, Sylvia is set to take on the last man to hold the Pride FC heavyweight title, Fedor Emelianenko, and Rothwell is rumored to be fighting another former UFC heavyweight champion, Andrei Arlovski.
Adrenaline MMA was created after the collapse of M-1 Global – a joint effort between American and Russian counterparts. Monte Cox – a long-time manager for several high profile mixed martial artists – now runs Adrenaline MMA as its president and CEO.
