Sylvia just looks like someone who needs a good azz-kicking. The tatoos, the hair, the flabby body…he just looks like a bar brawler, not an MMA fighter? Where is the “Mixed Martial Arts” in his game? Is he really a martial artist? I hope Fedor, a skilled fighter, beats him like a rented mule, then makes him tap out, maybe also twist his head off, hold it up for the crowd to see and shout,

“Are you not entertained?!”

FEDOR to WIN – Slvia is 1D – his balance is crap, his strikes are hard but sloppy, his kicks aren’t great, his ground has no game.

FEDOR is gonne topple and punish SYLVIA, i don’t rate SYLVIA, couldn’t even finish Vera while he had a broken hand, come on… Doesn’t really deserve a shot vs FEDOR but this is a money maker this event, so they needs household UFC names to give it a kick.

Hope AA wins, miss him in UFC, great charismatic guy.

hey brett wanted to make a correction. fedor never lost a pride fight. his cut from nog was an accidental headbutt and ruled a no contest. he did however lose a match in rings to kohsaka from an accidental elbow. since it was a tournament, they needed someone to proceed and since fedor was cut, kohsaka was declared the winner. but in pride fedor brutally avenged this loss. still, fedor is virtually undefeated in mma. your right though man, fedor is definitely the best fighter in mma. i dont care what that fag dana white or anyone says.

thats gay they have to go by the athletic commission. who cares if fighters want to take roids. its not as bad for you as the media portrays it. as long as you dont use it for a long period of time and dont take insane ammounts, it wont harm you. lot of celebrities are even for it. chris rock says athletes should be able to use them because it makes them better. arnold says he has no regrets using them. and look at royce gracie basically got away with it on the k1 heroes event. they didnt take his win away even though i thought sakuraba did better anyway. but then with gomi vs nick diaz they take diaze’s amazing win away, fined him and all he did was smoke pot. all gracie got was a fine. another thing is the rules suck. knees to the head is a must. stomps too. its not that brutal and much more exciting. they also should only allow elbows to the head if they have pads. otherwise it causes cuts too much. sure knees can too but you can take a lot more elbows than knees before the fight is done. anyway this is sure to be the best mma event of 08 and i hope the ufc crumbles for never having a single good card, and for bad office politics.

Correction for John! Although I’m an obsessed Fedor fan, he did indeed lose a pride fight. The fight was stopped quickly because Fedor suffered a cut the Referee stopped the fight. However, I do agree with John that Fedor is the Best heavyweight out there. Tim Sylvia is a one dimensional fighter as Randy Couture proved and Fedor will eat him alive. Just ask Mark Coleman who was a great fighter/wrestler and the original ground and pounder! He couldn’t even bring Fedor down for most of their fight and he was beaten up pretty bad for his attempts. Tim will be beaten and then submitted.

I’m a HUGE Fedor fan, but I must let you know that he doesn’t have a perfect record. He lost 1 fight that was stopped when he was cut early in the 1st round while fighting in PRIDE. However, having said this, he’ll destroy Tim Sylvia who is one dimensional, just watch the Coutour-Sylvia fight and you’ll see that. And Fedor has fought a legit heavyweight when he fought Mark Coleman who was a great wrestler and the originator of the Ground and Pound! Mark couldn’t even bring him down and Fedor just beat him up pretty bad.

Tim Sylvia is the slowest, most boring heavyweight ever. We’ll see if Fedor even breaks a sweat. Fedor has DOMINATED opponents both stand up and ground. Can you say the same about Sylvia? Hell no!! It’s just so unfortunate that he’s the best we’ve had even though he’s lost more than Fedor. At least now theres some excitement in the HW division..
