Kama: U r absolutely right. Ceaser Gracie's whole camp needs to get out from under ProElite. Like you said, its the 1 big organization, that has no challengers for any of them. That organization has no depth in any divisions. Sheilds, Nick, Gilbert are all taking big risks by fighting unknowns (like you said).

They should all just sign with the UFC while their stock is High.

u made a great point that it would be much better if they werefighting in DREAM and occasionally fighting for EliteXC...the other way around SUXS!!!

Its Officail! I have coined a new word: MMA-Cock-Blocking! Its really pretty accurate! Left me with mma-blue-ballz! lol

Yeah, I agree that "at the time" fighting Lindland wasn't the greatest Idea, but that was the fall back plan. The original plan was Bodog Offering Randy 2 million to come out of retirement to fight Fedor. Instead Randy chose to return to the UFC to fight Sylvia for a title shot. Then, that contract wasnt good enough, and the only fight that makes sense is Fedor..... I had it up to hear with Coutture. I am torn between not wanting Couture to get his way and not be allowed to fight Fedor, and Couture Fighting Fedor and recieving the beating of his life!

I wasnt trying to discredit Nogueira in my previous post. By now everyone should now how much I appreciate the UFC's heavyweight division being represented by such a legend (Nog)

Captain SCUMBAG!!! I hope you made some good money selling your picks to people, Randy! I hope your ugly wife leaves you and takes EVERYTHING!!!!!

yes. mma-cock-block is a word that comes to mind. yes. i'm retracting gary shaw praise. he doesn't care THAT much. lol. it would be better if it were the other way around where diaz/melendez had longterm contract with DREAM and MAYBE squeeze in a fight or 2 with exc\strikeforce at their leisure cuz they are now a couple of contenders stranded on unknown fighter island. 1 loss to a guy like Noons and all of a sudden, KJ is special & everybodys says diaz sux. wtf?! at least they're trying to get shields a fickett fight(if that ever happens), but after that, then who? how are these guys going to stay ranked fighting UFC rejects? wouldn't be so bad if elitexc LW & WW division was so shallow. steady paycheck might feel good now, but having a bad night losing to amateur nobodys could destroy their name\career and then a guy like Jake can forget about UFC because Dana said you lost to a scrub (hypothetically). no way in hell Dana sends GSP to exc to fight Shields. exc needs to start fishing in a pool of credible/established fighters if they really want to help these guys out. they're not newbies like kimbo who need to be built up. these guys are wasting their prime away @ a the joke of all promotions. the ceaser gracie guys don't belong there right now.

but i think the reason people were more upset that fedor fought lindland than they were when nog fought dan is because at the time fedor and lindland fought pride had just vanished and people wanted, no needed, to see fedor in the ufc against the best they had to offer...people looked at that like, why is this guy fighting lindland in bodog when we want him to be fighting arlovski, randy, timmy, etc. in the ufc....at least when nog fought henderson it was early in his carreer, and the second time was more so because the first fight was so close, and at least that fight for nog was surrounded by big time heavyweight fights against fedor, ricco, mirko, schilt, sapp, herring, blah blah blah

completely agree dude...beating syvia was cool and beating gonzaga was tight too, but neither of those guys are big nog...i've always said randy is overhyped, way overhyped...i think its obvious he wanted to ride this overhypedness to a mega fight with the best in the world and was scared that if he fought nog he'd lose not only the fight, but the chance at retiring completely on top...my bottom line is and always has been that couture is scared to fight anybody else because losing to anyone but fedor would discredit what he's been able to do since coming back.....at least if he lost to fedor he could say hey, that guy is the best and maybe i'm just number two...then he'd still have his legacy and his mega fight dollars...but if he lost to nog, people would say yeah he beat sylvia, but maybe sylvia overlooked him and yeah he beat gonzaga, but maybe because gonzaga broke his nose, but he couldn't beat nog, so what was all that fedor hype even about, its been proven nog isn't as good as fedor...randy doesn't want to get exposed for what he is, and its a smart move for his legacy i guess, but only because he's more overhyped right now than he'll ever be......hope that made sense, i was kind of rambling

Kama Kaze you are so right! Forget the Cobbrey fight, this was the path to a big fight with Mach, and that is a fight I am dying to see.

We spent all week singing Gary Shaws praises and now he mma-cock-blocks us! WTF!!! He just wanted some good press for like 3 days for a change, so he probably fabricated the whole story...Fat greedy, boxing promoting pig! I spent like 15 minutes writing a nice puff piece about him earlier this week...IT HAS BEEN RECINDED...

"Good Day!.... I say Good Day!" lol

I was so happy when I heard that this fight was going to go down, but I had a bad feeling about it. Combine unorganized Japanease way of operations with Nick Diaz is a combo for a let down!

I really do hope to see him fight in DREAM eventually. I think there are some good match ups for him in Japan, and I really want to see him fight under the Japanease rules again because although he fougfht in PRIDE, it was in Vegas. I want to see him under the japanease rules bad!
