Note that UFC President Dana White has some positive things to say about Tito Ortiz despite their well publicized differences. Perhaps it’s heartfelt or he’s just wearing his promoter cap. We’ll see after the fight on May 24.

Well I’m looking forward to a good fight. This is important to both fighters,Tito needs to look good before leaving and if Lyoto wants a title shot he needs to win. Nothing better than two people in a must win situation.

I’d like to see Tito win this in a dominating way and Dana wake up and make a deal to keep Tito around. I haven’t seen Lyoto fight so I will not make a prediction just a would like to see.

i am not a tito fan by any means, but i just can’t shake the feeling that tito is going to win this one.
I don’t know if tito has the mindset to win this fight. In the clip he says win lose or draw hes going to go down swinging or on top of him where machida just says hes going to knock him out. I think titos lost his hunger to be the best.
I wonder what the odds are for this one not going to decision considering these two guys are the kings of decisions, besides Karo and Rashad.

I dont understand all the hating on tito??!! The guy is a big time fighter and has only lost to big name fighters ie liddell, coutoure. Certainly no shame in that in my opinion, he also holds very strong wins over top fighters, none more so than wanderlei, and was robbed against rashad.
The ufc will be out there mind to let tito go, he may have lost the hunger, im not saying he has though, but he still has the fans appeal and like him or hate him he makes the sport exciting!!
I think we see machida taste his first defeat, hes facing a much bigger guy in tito, no doubt he has skills. I just see tito dominate the smaller guy in this one!! Remember styles make fights lol!!!!
Tito has the same mindset now as Franklin. Yes they are both good but they both know that they will never wear the UFC belt again. Im a Tito fan outside the octagon because I love the way that he hypes the fight but in reality inside the octagon he has one very little in the past 5 years, the only person he has finished is Shamrock and his style hasn’t evolved enough to be up there with the big boys in the LHW division. He wasn’t robbed against Rashad, he repeatedly held the fence and got deducted a point. Before fights he says he is in the best shape ever, then after complains about his back or some other injury. I wish Tito luck for this fight because IMO he will need it.
You’re seriously comparing Tito with Rich Franklin? Did you see Rich ducking A. Silva to hold on to the title longer a few years longer than he deserved like Tito did with Chuck? Rich is a professional fighter. Tito is a guy who uses fighting as a promotional vehicle for his clothing line. Dana summed Tito up perfectly: He has the drive to be successful, not the drive to be the best.
Uhmmm did you see the wanderlei fight he got lucky wanderlei hit him so hard tito ran away plus that was a younger wanderlei if they fought today i think wanderlei would end up killing tito. How did tito get robbed he repeatedly grabbed the fense to avoid being taken down and was warned he did nothing in that fight to control it if anyone got robbed its rashad. The only fighter i hate more than tito is rashad it pains me to have to say he was robbed but he should have won that fight
machida wins here.. if you sore the dismantiling he gave soko at 79 he has never looked better.. dropped him with a huge punch and then choked him to near death… machida is getting better and better and i’m not sure where tito’s at… also picking bj penn and jardine to win their fights.

its machidas turn now. tito has been far to inactive over the last couple of years and was lucky to get a draw w/ rashad, and i think machida is alot better than rashad. tito should have showed up for that boxing match w/dana, could have got some decent sparring in.ha! tito will never live that one down.
