Jonathan Goulet (22-9) will face undefeated welterweight Paul Kelly (7-0) at UFC 85: Bedlam which takes place at the O2 Arena in London, England, on June 7, according to a report from Canada’s TKO Extreme.

Goulet is riding a two-fight winning streak after a recent TKO stoppage of Kuniyoshi Hironaka at UFC 83. Prior to that he choked out Paul Georgieff in the first round at The Ultimate Fighter 6 Finale.

Opposing him will be England’s Paul Kelly, who won his UFC debut with a unanimous decision victory over Paul Taylor at UFC 80. Prior to that decision, Kelly has stopped all of his fights - five of them in the first round.

It should be an interesting match-up as Goulet (who does have 11 TKO victories) will try and use his experience to manhandle the younger Kelly (who trains at the Wolfslair Academy).

UFC 85 features the main even between former welterweight champion Matt Hughes and Thiago Alves. Also scheduled to battle are Michael “The Count” Bisping and Chris “The Crippler” Leben.

Nobody cares about this fight? I do you maggot, and every smart and REAL fight fan, unlike yourself, cares about this fight you knowledgeless baffoon. Goulet is on a winning streak and Kelly has good ground and pound. Should be a very interesting and exciting fight. Another solid addition to an already very stacked card.

Hell Yeah that was an awesome fight. He made me a fan that night for sure. He is a tough young welterweight (only 23 years old). He is going to really thrash Goulet.
JRV called it right….Kelly via a brutal round 1 TKO!!!

A good fight for Kelly after Goulet would be Paul Kelly vs. Luigi Fioravanti!

Paul Kelly said he will never ever tap! he says he has passed out many times in training. He looked great in his last fight. Its funny someone saying he doesnt care about this fight when Kelly looked like a ufc fighter to me last time. maybe if he was american it would be diffrent.

I would like to fight the guy who says he doesnt care about this fight! but when you see most american mma fans on you tube they look like they have never had a fight in there life!

Tony - Check out the fat dude on You Tube who comments on Bisping Hamill fight. He really does back up your argument. You can just imagine him going to put one in his siter after venting his anger at the webcam.

However, we shouldnt generalise and there are some really decent US commentators on this site - In fact most of the really good points come from US fans. Not fair to tar everyones brush due to one inbred deliverance extra.

To all you British mma fans. 1 thing you guys cant say is that I am biased against your Fellow Countrymen fighting in the UFC. I am actually a fan of most of the british fighters fighting in the UFC and even some British fighters who havent fought in the UFC.

I am a fan of:
Bisping
Kelly
Taylor
Epstein
Etim

I will admit that many of my fellow American mma fans are ignorant and dont give British fighters there due props but that can not be said about me. Check out all my posts and you will see I always speak highly about most of them!

Sorry Billy Boy. That was meant for Tony. This whole U.S./British debate on what fans are more knowledgeable, whose fighters should get respect etc. is as about as dumb as you can get. There are intelligent fans and idiots all over the world. Where one is born does NOT determine anything!

Sorry Billy Boy, that was meant for Tony. This whole debate on who is a knowledgeable fan and what fighter deserves credit b/c of where either is born is beyond dumb. Where you are born determines nothing!

I remember the last interviwe with Goulet that was up here. He said he wanted to put on an exciting fight for the fans and get on the ppv portion of the card. He did both and won fight of the night honors. I love how these guys can come on here and state that no one cares about this fight and that Goulet sucks. Sure he got caught a few times, but who hasn’t. If you haven’t seen his last fight against Hironaka then I suggest watching it.
