I’m listening to the video now, but I’ll be honest AA is one of my favorite fighters. That said, after Tim KO’d him the 1st time, he grew boring!! He dances too much. I want the old AA that comes in and tears people apart! He’s got too much talent to waste it “dancing”

do not let him go dana….biggest mistake yet.

u got that right kavedaddy. in one of the weakest divisions in UFC, the pitbull would keep it interesting. hes a keeper.

Arlovski is a class act. It would be a shame if the UFC didn’t lock this guy up. He had a couple of slow paced fights, but that was more a product of his opponents being primarily grapplers than him losing his edge.

Bring back the pitbull!

He was the biggest HW draw 2 years ago - 1 loss and he goes from “the pitbull” to “the kitten” :(

He needs to get in touch with GSPs sports psychologist and get that fear of getting KTFO out of his head so he can start wrecking ppl in highlight reel fashion again

Good comment, I believe AA has a suspect chin and he knows it, hence his fear of mixing it up with another good striker. Win or get KO’d may just be something he’s going to have to accept and continue his aggressive fighting style without being overly cautious.

The third fight against Big Tim was one of the worst fights in UFC history, but Tim has had a few similar fights since then (Monson, Vera), so that can’t all be put on Andre. And it wasn’t AA’s fault that Werdum kept flopping to the mat trying to get a ground fight when he couldn’t get the takedown. I think if you put AA in a competitive fight he is still one of the most exciting HW fighters.

At this point I am getting a little tired of waiting to see how this all unfolds. I would prefer him staying with at the UFC, but at this point I just want to se ehim fight. As long as he signs with Affliction, DREAM, or the UFC….I am happy….I just want to see him fight a real fight. None of that Jake O’brien CRAP! Arlovski needs to be matched up against an opponent with a mean streak, that will push the pace…..maybe that will put the Fire back in Andre!

Arlovski is not done yet in the UFC! And Dana owes him ALOT!
Filling up so many fightcards with topnotch action.

u dont see franklin getting booted from the Ufc after getting beat twice and some lame fight afterwards.

Dana doesnt want arlovski around cause of the paper. Andrei will KO white’s minions 1 by 1.

And the comments ” his last fight wasnt good and it was boring” (mr white) is nonsens if u give him a can after years of solid competition.. CANS CAN BREAK FIGHTERS! and not like breaking in KO but letting lower them in there lvl of competition. after u done that dont expect a fighter to be the same. Dont change a winning team even if it lost once.

Franklin went into the second fight with Silva swinging. He didn’t try to stay away and grind a decision even though he got demolished in there first fight. I agree it has to do with money, but Arlovski just hasn’t been the same after Tim KO’d him. If you want top money then you have to perform at top levels.

I’m pretty sure we’ll be hearing that Andreis signing with the UFC pretty soon. Dana knows the HW division needs him, he has publicly said he’s going to work things out with AA, so, Arlovski is staying put in the UFC.

The mullet is real nice. AA needs to bring back the longer hair.

Plz bring him back he has highlight real ko’s beat sylvia first time and the second fight lets not forget he almost had him ko’d if not for a great counter by tim once he got back to the feet. Wherever he goes I’ll pay to see him but I would definitely prefer the UFC to any other. Come on Dana do the best thing bring him back!!!!

i personally im getting tired of waiting on news to see if he is gonna resign with the UFC. i hope he does.Dana needs to quit farting around and get this done. i believe AA vs Kongo or Vera would be a good fight.like someone said on an earlier post, you cant blame AA for fighters wanting to fight on the ground because they cant take him down or out strike him. also i would love to se a fourth fight with Tim. i think AA would take him in impressive fashion. i would also like to see AA vs Cro Cop to settle a personally bet, but anyway Dana GET IT DONE ASAP!!!

he needs to fight nog. who else is gonna fight for the title?????werdum, that would sell lots of ppv!!!!!also, if aa wins and mir can one more than that would be a great match up that the ufc could market.

It is getting pretty tiresome to hear all this back and forth with AA and UFC. Bottom line is that he needs to get re-signed. This guy is a major draw. I get it, he’s had some boring fights but guys he fought dictated that type of fight. I actually live very close to him and had a chance to speak to some guys close to him. They said that fight agains Wedum had to be fought like this because he really needed a win after loosing to Sylvia. After that he KO’d O’Brien. This guy is a class act and a great ambassador for the sport. I know that most of this is pretty repetetive, but UFC’c HW division cannot afford to pass up on this guy. I don’t know if I’m correct, but since UFC is doing all this “spring cleaning” - cutting guys left and right, maybe they are looking to spend that money on some heavy hitters and some serious contracts. Not very likely but just a thought.

Thats the thing with AA, there are tons of options out there to make big fights with him. The HW division is pretty weak right now, but throw in AA, and you’ve got AA vs Vera, AA vs Kongo, AA vs Big Nog, AA vs Cro Cop, AA vs Gonzaga, Herring, Coleman, Lesnar, frick, I would love to see AA vs Mir, all of which would be big fights. If they think so much of Werdum, have them fight again. Lot of good matchup in the HW division for AA.

Just like LostEwok said, I’ll pay to see AA fight. I’ll buy every card he’s on. I’ll buy tickets and go to the events he’s fighting at if I can. AA has a good following, and he brings in money.

I watch every card the UFC puts out, but whether or not I actually pay for it, or watch it via TVU Player is up to them. If they let the top fighters go, they’re lettin my money go as well. I dont see that happening. They’re gonna keep their talent. Now, more than ever, with Elite XC on the rise, Dana knows he has to hold on to as many guys as he can.

Fabricio Werdum will beat Brandon Vera and then Big Nog will take on FW.

AA needs to use his Sambo more and could have beaten Tim Sylvia. If AA uses his Sambo like Fedor then he would be almost unstoppable.

Comment by Craig
2008-04-28 23:24:35

I dont see Werdum beating Vera. Werdum is good, but, he’s not that good. Vera is legit. He didn’t look good against Tim, but he’ll come back strong.

And what little Sambo I’ve seen didn’t look like it belonged in MMA. There are aspects of it you can throw in, but I’m pretty sure guys like Arlovski work on their striking, jiu-jitsu, and wrestling all independently. Sambo has an area for each, but is mainly a self defense type of deal and training with weapons, which aren’t legal in the UFC. Outside of that, it’s a lot of wrestling and judo stuff, using leg locks a lot. Jiu-jitsu has pretty much solidified itself as a staple in MMA. So, jiu-jitsu and wrestling are going to be studied over sambo regardless of who it is. I know Fedor still does sambo, but I’m pretty sure it’s got its own place in his world and doesn’t find its way into his MMA training.

2008-04-29 00:20:46

I dont know if I believe it or not. It was close. And, like AA says, to gotta KO or submit the champ to beat him. If you take it to a decision, good luck. If it’s close, the champ is gonna win it almost every time. To win by decision, you have to make it blatantly clear you won and dominate the champ, ala Couture vs Sylvia.
