UFC 86
There’s a welterweight fight brewing between The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 6 contestants, Ben Saunders (5-0-2) and Jared Rollins (6-4), for UFC 86: “Jackson vs. Griffin” at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, on July 5, according to MMAWeekly.com.

Saunders will look to build on his unanimous decision win over Dan Barrera at TUF 6 Finale back in December 2007. He was eliminated during the quarterfinals of the mixed martial arts reality series when he ran into eventual finalist, the “Farm Boy” Tommy Speer.

Rollins, on the other hand, will attempt to bounce back after a thrilling technical knockout loss to Jon Koppenhaver at TUF 6 Finale. It was a back-and-forth, blood-soaked battle that was considered among the best inside the Octagon last year.

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson will defend his 205-pound title against Forrest Griffin during the UFC 86 main event of the evening. In addition, heavyweights Frank Mir and Justin McCully will hook ‘em up in another featured bout on the pay-per-view (PPV) broadcast.

I think I would rather see both of these guys fight other competition that wasnt on the show..but it would probably be a decent fight

if both these guys fight like they did in their past fights, I expect Jrod to destroy this guy he definetly deserves the W after that fight with Kopp… if he fights to his full potential will be a quick TKO..

Don’t really care about J-Rock. After he loses to Saunders, won’t be fighting in the UFC anymore.

Tyson Griffin vs. Aurelio is going to be fight of the night.

his fight with WARMACHINE was awesome.i am looking forward to see J-Rock in the octagon again.
i am hoping Mir gets on a winning streak and gets a title shot.a fight against Big Nog would be highly entertaining.

I think Ben Saunders will be too much for J-roc. 2 years from now Ben Saunders is going to be a very tough welterweight to defeat.

Saunders is the TUF 6 Version of Mike Swick.

He wins by Triangle Choke.

I actually think Sauders has much more potential than Swick. Saunders has the perfect mentality to be a successful fighter. He will enjoy a reach advantage over anyone he will ever face in the welterweight division. He has a nice arsenal of strikes and solid grappling. Now that he has joined a premier camp, I expect him to show a lot of improvement. He has the potential ot one day be a top welterweight.

I forget which camp did he join, AKA or ATT?

ViolentMike: Where are you at my friend? You should be able to answer this question for me: What camp did Saunders join:

American Top Team? or American Kickboxing Academy?

He tains at ATT, just not the same location as all the other guys at ATT. Its still in Florida though, so he might just start going to the gym where guys like Alves and Aurelio are.

i liked ben alot on the show and his hieght and reach w/ long legs will give alot of fighters problems at ww. what is he like 6′3 or something?

Comment by john

B.W: I actually think he is even Taller than 6′3. Not sure exactly what his height is but he will never face a welterweight taller than him.

I hate it when the UFC matches up TUF fighters from the same season against each other on a pay per view.

Continuing on that thread, I have a feeling Nate Diaz’s next fight will be against Manny! The UFC isnt big enough for 2 Karo’s….Manny’s got to go! send his boring ass to the WEC!!!
