well i can’t really blame him. he’s going to make a lot more money in the boxing world. even if he’s just an average fighter. it would take a good three more wins for him to get a good paycheck in the ufc or another organization.

I use to be a big boxing fan, but just can’t stomache the bad decisions, bad/boaring fights, etc. For the most part, every one ducks everyone else. Can’t hardly stand it anymore. Also, it seems like most of the fights I see that are listed on tv are flyweight and slightweight, skinnyweight, etc. I hate those skinny dudes. They punch and punch, that’s true, but there is never any drama. With the very rare exception (a half way decent match up), boxing is pretty much dead in my mind. I don’t have any use for it any more.

Oh shit I’m with you there. Especially with the heavyweights that aren’t in shape to go the 10, 12 rounds. Recently, I’ve been watching Tyson’s fights from the 80’s… boxing could use the infusion of another fighter like that. Those fights were unbelievable!

I hear you….I have always been a big boxing fan. My point is that it has become so corrupt people are sick of it.

Also, after watching MMA, I get really tired of seeing guys dance around and clinch so the ref can split them back up. Obviously not all fights go that way, but with MMA, the clinch is when the fight really starts. Watching boxing makes me feel like I’m missing 1/2 of a real fight.

Yeah, it’s kinda weird. If he couldn’t make it in MMA, how on earth could he make it in boxing?? His striking isn’t great and if he couldn’t beat sloppy strikers such as leben, how does he ever plan to make a dent against much more technical boxers?

… there is a reason they call it the sweet science. MMA tends to disregard boxing too much yet it’s such an integral part of the game. Most of the guys in MMA that have heart in my opinion seem to come from a boxing background. I think you’re just watching the wrong boxers.

He is fighting for HCF(Hardcore Championship Fighting) now. He won his last fight by UD against Todd Gouwenberg. From what I hear he looked really good in this fight.
