like him or not, the guy is funny. and a lot of people are right, he won that fight inconvincing question. i’m a a die-hard GSP fan, but if you don’t think he got dominated one way or the other, just ask yourself one question: if GSP had knocked serra out in the same exact way that serra did – i mean down to the very detailed movement – would anyone say it was a fluke? you gotta give the guy credit. some fighters just don’t match up well with others. GSP’s biggest weapon next to his atheletism is his intelligence. so i still predict that GSP will technically take serra apart while serra will be swinging for the fences.

but long story short, you gotta appreciate the edgy NYC humor…. “Georges was supposed to be the new MMA god; the guy on the Wheaties box”

That fight was even until Serra landed the punch. The only way serra will receive respect is by winning again. The fact is before that win serra had’nt beaten anyone in the top ten. If the talk or what people and fans are saying do not bother serra than why does he keep responding. respect is not a given it has to be earned, one good win does not cut it.MMA fans are tired of hearing you. Serra should close his mouth, stop whining and focus on the fight. This a tall order in front of him, GOOD LUCK.

JOHN, in part I agree you’re correct, he’s entitled to have that chip on his shoulder, just as he chooses to be publicly bitter about it, I for one think he would be better off without it. GSP has always been a class act. The few times he has stepped out of line he has always reconsidered his actions and tried to make amends, a pretty humble guy if you ask me. I hate what Pete Sell had to say about GSP, the tone Serra carries on about when talking about GSP. I hate that Joey Scarola was Serra’s best friend (lol).

Also the reason for the interm title IMAO, because the UFC needed to make the fight between GSP n Hughes a 5 rounder and promote it full throttle. These 2 very worthy guys could go 5 rounds if needed, we as fans deserve that for the $$$ we pay. Interm title really means nothing to GSP or anyone else.

I don’t like this side of Serra much, I liked it when he bashed Hughes because he deserved it, but GSP??? C’mon… Serra once said GSP is the nicest guy… know what?… he still is.

Yes he did, BUT he beat GSP at his WORST. Why can’t some people even consider that? Your talking like GSP is going to show up like that again (it could happen,yet I think you would have better odd at the lottery). Serra beat a 40% GSP fair and square,he was the better fighter THAT NIGHT. By the looks of the Kos and Hughes fight and the fact that GSP has been training for ONE YEAR STRAIGHT, it looks like he will be facing a 100% GSP. HUGH DIFFERRNCE!!!!
