Joe Daddy

Joe Stevenson and his wife just had another kid (their second) — Maximus Stevenson (8 lbs 1 ½ oz.).

That now makes four boys total for the 25-year-old, who was the season two winner of The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) back in 2005.

Talk about a small army.

“Daddy” is set to take on Gleison Tibau at UFC 86 in Las Vegas, Nevada, on July 5, in a lightweight showdown. Chances are he’ll look to put on show and get his hands on some of that bonus money.

Kids are expensive.

Congrats, Joe.

It would really suck to be a LW (or MW) right now. The only way anyone will get the belt is if BJ moves up. I can’t wait till BJ destroys steroid boy.

He named his kid “Maximus”? Watching a little too much Gladiator there, Daddy?

His kid will either have to be a Gladiator, a fighter, or a superhero.

4 boys!! you know they’re going to be rugged.

after he bounces back with a win or 2, i’m looking forward to him getting in the huerta florian mix so we can find out exactly who the top ufc lw contenders are, but more so to just basicly knock them down the rankings.

thats cool that he is a great father of 4 now and still manages to fight and be ranked at least top 15 LW in the world, this guy is pretty inspirational… and it would also suck to be in the WW division with GSP at the top pretty much everybody is screwed right now….

I’d rank him higher than 15…his only recent loss is bj.

BJ Penn has lost 2 of his last 4 fights. Granted, those fights were at WW, but it still proves that he is not invincible. GSP was just recently KO’d by MATT FREAKING SERRA. That means that he is beatable for sure.

Anderson Silva hasn’t fought for approximately 34 days and the whole world forgot about him? Anderson Silva is BY FAR the most dominant champ in the UFC. And the MW division is the only division that it would really suck to be in as a fighter hoping to be champ.

Truth be told, neither GSP nor BJ Penn are undisputed champs. They are BOTH interim champions.

Rankings of the UFC champions (at this point in time and only counting what the have done in the UFC):

#1) Silva is the most accomplished champion in the UFC. He is undisputed and he has defended the title 4 times already and is undefeated in the UFC

#2) Rampage because he is the only other undisputed champion in the UFC. He also embaressed UFC Posterboy, Chucky-poo ….

#3)BJ Penn because he has won the title in 2 different divisions (something only Couture has accomplished

#4)GSP (assuming he beats serra) because he beat everyone the UFC ever put in front of him except the 1st fight with Hughes (which he avenged twice) and the Serra fight (which he will avenge next weekend).

#5) Noguiera. I rank him last only because he has only had 2 UFC fights thus far.

Penn, GSP, and Nogueira still have a lot to prove in the UFC. They have never successfully defended their titles yet…and technically this wont even count as a title defense for GSP because Serra is the real champion.

I dont ever remember the UFC having 5 better champions representing their organization!

He’s not undisputed champ neither. That was my point. Thanks for the clarification for the others readers!!!
