Eastman McFredies

Add a middleweight slugfest between Marvin Eastman (15-7-1) and Drew McFedries (6-3) to the growing list of bouts slated for The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 7 Finale at The Palms in Las Vegas, Nevada, on June 21, according to recent MySpace post from the “Beastman.”

Here’s the snip:

“the next victim of the beastman is on june 21 at the palms casino on the finale of the ultimate fighter, forrest vs rampage. drew mc fedries is my last fight under contract with the ufc. this contract was a buyout from the purchase of the WFA BUY THE UFC. I GOT ‘RIPPED’ so stay tuned because im comming old school beastman on free tv. 1 love”

Terry Martin was the most recent victim — Eastman outlasted the heavy-handed slugger en route to a unanimous decision win at UFC 81: “Breaking Point” back in February. He has one loss since his return to the promotion after a four-year hiatus to Quinton Jackson at UFC 67: “All or Nothing” last year.

McFedries is coming off a tough technical knockout loss to Patrick Cote at UFC Fight Night 12 to kickoff his 2008 fight campaign. The Miletich-trained fighter; however, was dealing with the horrific murder of his mother, as well as recovering from a serious staph infection.

This fight was first discussed for possible inclusion on the UFC 77: “Hostile Territory” card in November 2007. Eastman was having eye problems and McFedries was dealing with his “football-sized” wound.

It’s clearly a fight that the UFC brass wants to see … perhaps because it is a nice match up that on paper should not last very long.

Should hopefully be a good fight. Hope it doesn’t go as fast as us realizing Houston alexander is nothing but a package of power. lol

Just because neither guy is a title contender doesn’t mean it won’t be an exciting fight. Rather not see it on PPV, but it should be a good fight for free.

Like VM said, if Eastman comes to bang then this fight will be a very exciting stand up war!

Marvin Eastman is huge at middleweight. I thought Terry Martin would test his chin but I was wrong. This guy might be able to give him a run for his money tho.

UFC 77 took place in OCTOBER! NOT NOVEMBER! Why can’t this site get that right?!

As for the fight, it should be a good one.

if they didnt have guys like this fighting then there would be PPVs with only 1 or 2 fights on them. of course they would be title fights. that would be fine if all these non title matches were on free TV somewhere, which this fight is.IMO this will prabably be better than the main event which is supposed to be the NIGHTMARE vs. the Marine. but i still want to see the up and comers as well as has beens & even the occasional fight with nothing but a paycheck to fight for.

this should be a decent fight. hoping for a McFeddries win by KO.

Beastman has a glass jaw. If Drew keeps it standing he will win by KO.

i agree, u guys that say this isnt a good fight are stupid. its obvious someone is gettin knocked out. im puttin my money on mcfedries, but there is no reason he should have lost to cote, hes a better fighter and he kinda just gave up in that fight… i saw him takin shots from sakara so u know the dude is tuff.
