i hope mccarthy pulls this one off. bisping is a tool for the ufc to make money in england. thats all he is. if he wasnt he wouldnt be fighting charles mccarthy in the first place. for as much exposure and hype he gets he should be fighting a goood opponent at 185 like marquardt or almeida.

I liked Bisbing at one point. He had no say in the officials Screwing Matt Hamil, but he did have a choice in the way he responded.
Any athlete knows when they have been handled, he was handled. Even during TUF his insecurity was apparent. He went to 185 to avoid facing a much improved Hamil, end of story.

Everybody goes on about the Hamill fight but I think Hamill caught him by surprise by doing the standup game. I think Bisping was expecting it to hit the floor and had trained for that.

As much has a hate the career path that Bisping has taken by fighting bums (the UFC gets part of the blame), secretly I root for him. I like Bisping, he has talentand a great brash british personality. Hopefull he can light Tuppaware up.

I am actually rooting for all the decent middlweights. Hopefully at least 1 of them goes on a hot streak and eventually put up a good fight against the Spider. Although the middleweight division is weak at the top, it has a lot of depth. there are about 10-20 fighters al bunched together. t will be interesting to see who seperates himself from the rest of the pack.

Let’s not kid ourselves. if bisbing wasnt from england and the ufc wasnt trying to expand its global appeal, this fight would be on the undercard. Plain and simple. Neither one of these guys is a true contender at 185, neither has the skill set to go far in the MW division. Both are average!!

The MW division is in some serious need of talent to compete at the top. Bisping ain’t ready yet, but he does have some potential. Juanito has been working wonders on Rampage, but I don’t think its a good idea for Bisping to be training at that camp. Rampage hates to train and practice, and he loves to joke around. Bisping is a bit of a jokester as well and the two of them training together take away from the amount of “serious” training time that they get in. Bisping needs to work on his BJJ, striking and wrestling. I am surprised at his wrestling skills as of late. He needs to join one of the TOP schools, such as ATT, AKA, or Xtreme Couture. That would work wonders for his career.

As far as Tupperware is concerned, I expect Bisping to destroy him standing up. If Bisping can stop a Hamill and Evan takedown. Tupperware will have a very hard time getting the fight to the ground to utilize his BJJ.

So far Bisping has been labeled as THE UFC British Great white hype. He has had a lot of pressure on him while fighting because that undefeated record weighs on a fighter, and he was undersized and fighting in the wrong division. However I think Bisping’s experiemnce at 205 lbs will only help him at middleweight.

Bisping’s weakness has always been his wrestling, and he had to improve a lot in that aspect for his fights against Rashad and Hammil. I thought he displayed much improvement in that area in those fights. Now that he will be one of the bigger fighters in the division, I expect him to start having some real success.

Bisping has tried to stay loyal to his country and his camp by continuing to train (partly) in England, at the Wolf’s Lair but he has to start thinking about himself and his career. He needs to move his familty to the UFC and like VM said get over to one of the top camps like AKA, ATT, or Extreme Couture.

I have to admit it has been hard to stay a fan because of the lack of competition he has faced, but maybe we are a little too critical of him… As an undersized LHW, he did fight Hamil and Rashad in back to back fights…and performed better than I thought he would.

I will give him a pass on the Tuppaware fight, but after this fight, he has to fight someone decent. he has a lot to prove.
I say give him Leben next and we can really see how tough he is and what he is really made of.
