NEWS FLASH!!! At the Sac Kings vs Clippers game at Arco Arena, Sac, CA, its Olympics Night. Kurt Angle was present and was interviewed. He mentioned that he was fighting against Couture sometime in the fall, and was not allowed yet to mention which promotion!!!!!!!!!!!

I can’t feel sorry for Joe Lauzon for the elbows from Florian. If you remember the quarterfinal fight he had on TUF against Cole Miller, he was being beaten until he hit Cole in the back of the head with an elbow. Cole was never the same after that and Lauzon went on to win the fight. These things happen in the fight game. Karma’s a bitch, aint it?

That’s completely wrong mang. Kenny was just a better fighter during that fight. That’s just what it is. Everyone had issues with with cardio, because of the fact that they don’t fight in that climate all the time. Joe will be dangerous in a few years(he is already) and let’s not forget he’s only 23. As for BJ, cardio will not be an issue come
May 24.

It’s time for the UFC to have a 145 lb division so very skilled fighters like Edgar don’t have to fight in a weight class they don’t belong in, in order to stay in the UFC. Maynard was impressive on his feet, and all around great game plan, should we expect less from a Couture protege? I still love Lauzon but this was him being thrown in with a top contender too soon. Nate Diaz is a throwback to the days of Royce Gracie, where Royce would be taking a beating and then his opponent would be tapping out a few seconds later trying to salvage one his appendages from being snapped like a twig. Matt Hammil good win, inspirational guy, but when he strikes from the top it always seems as though he’s going through the motions, not really inflicting damage but throwing punches to curry favor with the judges instead of trying to punish his opponent. Some people just don’t have that “killer instinct” and unfortunately I think Hammil is one of those people.

I was 10 of 12 last night. I lost the Alexander/Irving fight, however I got the round and winning method right – I knew that wasn’t lasting long and someone was getting knocked out.

Also picked Tommy S. because I thought he might have been able to lay and pray Johnson.

i agree. he def needs to work on his bjj and submission game. he cant do anything unless he’s on top. he did look kinda small next to gray so maybee a move to 145 would help as well. i think dana needs a 145 division in the ufc. he’s gonna have to bring faber into the ufc sooner or later. uriah is too big a star for the wec.

Thanks B.W. As for Diego vs. Alves it could be a real possibility once Diego submits Luigi, there fights are only 2 months apart and I think this will be the logical choice for matchmaker Joe Silva.

The only way I can see Diego vs. Alves not happening is if Koschek defeats Lytle (1 month later). The UFC may then want to set up the rubber match up between kos/Diego, and as much as I would like to see Alves vs. Diego, I would understand if they went with the Diego vs. Kos match up and I wouldn’t be mad either.

Another possible and great match up for Alves would be against
Marcus Davis if he can get passed Swick (which I expect him to do). Davis vs. Alves would match up to of the divisions best strikers and would make for a hell of a scrap, very simular to the great fight that Alves vs. Lytle was.
