No talent? puhahahah. Cung Le is very talented, I think he could kick Anderson Silvas ass, but UFC will not take a chance on a match because they they also think Silva will lose. Silva is freaken over rated. He lost in Japan to japanese fighters.

Le is one of the best standup strike fighters to enter the MMA. Sure his ground work is questionable hence who better to fight than Frank Shamrock who is a ground master. The truth is Frank is at the end of his carrer especially with the injuries he has sustained. Frank traded with Baroni and Le only due to his knee injurys which prevents him from "shooting". He has no choice but to stand. Face it Franks carrer is over , maybe he fights Ken but a prospect with Tito Ortiz is over.

UFC MMA politics aside -------------------------------------

Le could make 170lbs a welterweight - love to see him fight in the UFC especially against Georges ST Pierre because he his going to cain Matt Serra at UFC 83.

As far as Anderson silva is concerned "YUP" this would be a tough one , one that we would all like to see. Anderson is 6ft2" while Le is only 5ft 10". Le would have a hard time kicking to his head. Anderson no doubt has the superior ground skills.

Styles make for figts so for Le "Bring it on".

A few points:

- Le prepared heavily on Take Down defense against Frank. Three times in the first round Frank tried to bring him down three times and failed. You ought to see Le's gamut of training, ie, dragging a ton of weight on a tire and chain and sprinting. Frank tried to grab him from behind and obviously weighs less than the ton of weights Le's sprints with. Le broke out easily.

- Le is already 35yo. He is coming to the end of his career. So whoever the promoters match up with him they need to get him some opponents quickly and stop hyping him up with wasted lower class opponents.

- Forget the shamrock's, give Le the best of the best. He is not getting any younger and he hasn't turned any of them down.

After such positive articles on the UFC from ESPN, like this one: http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/news/story?id=2516201

people are now talking that the 2 sports giants maybe enter into partnership.

While Spike is the official cable home of the UFC, there is no longer an ABC Sports division, only ESPN on ABC, leading to speculation that such a partnership could lead to live events on ABC.
No its not dude, the article is dated March 31st 2008 and was posted of numerous mma sites today!
The story that comes up for me said it was last updated July 19, 2006 and is copyrighted 2006 to the Associated Press.

i hope so! i have stated several times that i would rather see the ufc on espn than any other network. i think the sport of mma would be taken more seriuosly if so, and your'e right disney owns both abc/espn so it could end up on wide world of sports as well, like back in the 70s and 80s when wide world used to show a ton of boxing on the weekends and primetime, instead now it will be mma.

I was very disapointed in Frank. Sure he made it entertaining by just standing with him but if I just wanted to be entertained I could watch the WWE. He could have made this fight much easier on himself if he wouldn't have kept the fight standing and he probably wouldn't have suffered a broken arm. He forgot this was a mma bout (on purpose) and tried to out kickbox a kickboxer and who knows if he hadn't of broke his arm he might of pulled it off. I'm just saying that he could have won this fight handily if he would have fought with his strengths and not Le's.

Kirill Sidelnikov (VIDEO)
Here is a video of Kirill Sidelnikov's last fight at the recent Russia vs. France M-1 Challenge. Kirill is Fedor's prodige and is hyped up to be the next great fighter to come out of Russia. You will see Kirill come out in an attempt to touch gloves at the bell and the French Monster just starts bullrushing him with brutal haymakers. Kirill stays calm, shows Fedor and Aleks type footwork and shows that even at the young age of 19, you can stay calm under the most dangerous situations. Some of the bombs this French dude threw at him could have killed a rhino. Kirill's chin and composure is not of a kids who was born in 1989.

Enjoy.

my bad, the correct link to the fight video is:
www.m1mixfight.com/multimedia/video/category/fights/2008/3/kirill_sidelnikov/

Check tis kid out. He may very well turn into the next fedor
man that kid is tough as hell. IMO he proved that he can take a punch better than fedor, & i think he throws better punches too. fedor would have did his standup on tiptoes wobble, & he probably would have got cut too.
The Levi: This kid is going to be a moster. Kiril and Chris Horedescki are the toughest young fighters I have seen to date.
