as ric flair would say whooooooo……….!. i cant wait either.
6 days man icant wait this is gonna be awesome.
I didn’t think the Edgar/Maynard fight was guarenteed to be televised.
Predictions:
Creepy Joe via 1st rd TKO
Tiago Alves defeats Karo in a decision (very exciting fight)
Karo’s going ot be limping after this fight. Tiago has the nastiest leg kicks in the division.
I am rooting for Nate Diaz, and have wagered a small amount of $ on Diaz, but I have a bad feeling about this fight. Batman is a tough and skilled dude. If Nate can beat him, he has to be taken serious.
Boestch/Hamill: who the hell knows? I say Boetsch, just because Hamil does not protect his chin, and over extends on his Jab, leaving his chin exposed. He has gotten away with it so far, but he is due to get exposed… Boetsh KO! Jeet Kun Do….Bitches!!lol
Edgar via decision (although I would like to see him finish this fight, Gray is a scrappy Kat)
Houston/Irving: Some on is getting KTFO EARLY! Best bet is the unders in this fight. I like the sandman, but I will give Houston the benefit of the doubt and say Alexander 1st or early 2nd round TKO!!
Aurelio by submission
Din Thomas by submission….This will be a very exciting fight
Guida…TKO, his bad luck ends with this fight!
George “the greek” vs. Roman will be a very technical ground war. I say George wins a decision.
Spears/Johnson: ???? Johnson is explosive with KO ability, but Tommy should be able to take him down, control him, and beat him up to a TKO win. I would never bet on this fight because coming from such a small town, the big atmosphere CRUSHED tommy mentally against Danzig at the TUF Finale, until I can see him Handle the UFC atmosphere, I can not take him serious!

I’m really looking forward to seeing Boetsch in action again. The dude looked like a stud in his last fight and I’m curious to see if he’s for real. I really like Edgar, but when you get two wrestlers in the ring together, it has the potential to be on the boring side. Too his credit, we haven’t seen a boring fight from Edgar in the UFC yet, so we’ll see.

B.W: I think so highly of Alves, that I think by next year he will be a top 5 welterweight in the UFC. Look for a monstermatch up down the line between Diego Sanchez vs. Alves.
When it happens, I want you to remember that you heard it here 1st.
As for Maynard, he is tough as nails and he is someone to be taken very serious. Its just really hard to pick against Edgar. This kid has beaten some top fighter and he will be very tough to stop.
I got another prediction for you down the line. Here it is:
Because Kenn flow will get upset by Lauzon, and Edgar beats Maynard, a match up between Edgar vs. huerta will be booked for UFC 87 (Brock vs. Coleman) in Huerta’s hometown. that match will provide us with a #1 contender in the light weight division.
Remember I said that. I got this UFC-Nastrodamus-like Flow about me today!

i just predicted that the winner of j-lau/ken-flow would get huerta on the edgar/maynard thread. edgar probably deserves it more though.
I can’t ever remember a more solid card with more unpredictable fights. But, I’ll try anyways.
Lauzon round 2 RNC
Karo via split decision (no title shot)
Boetsch round 1 KO (Jeet Kun Do bitch)
Pellegrino round 3 TKO (fight of the night)
Houston round 1 KO (career ender for Irving)
Aurelio round 1 submission
Dean Thomas round 2 Arm bar (submission of the night)
Manny via Unanimous Decision
Guida round 2 GNP
George round 1 TKO
Speer Unanimous
I think we will get to see some extra fights.

I also think that Gray is the slightly stronger fighter and will slightly overcome Edgar.
That being said, it would rule out your predictions.

Thats funny you make that predictions because 1 of us will be right. Its going to comedown to who performs the best out of florian and Edgar. If one doesnt get upset, its going to suck because it becomes a judgement call. But we do agree, that either Kenny or Edgar will be fighting Huerta at UFC 87 in Minnesota in a #1 contender match.

This card sucks because we should get to see all of these fights. They should have broken this up into 2 fight nights. Instead pigskinned dana gips us out of 7 high profile fights. I really hope Randy and Cuban get together and form a better organization.

Hey mang, the UFC did what they could do. They even exended the telecast so we could see more fights. We can’t always have the entire pie, but if we get full that’s good enough. Plus having the fights on two different nights would cost a loit of money. Let’s all not forget that the premeire of TUF 7 is that night..Chheeee
Personally, I’d much rather see the Edgar/Maynard fight than the Hamill/Boetsch fight.
I agree with you… Personally I would like to see the Edgar/Maynard fight more than any other fight (except the main event)
I hope they show the Edgar / Maynard fight… I would rather watch that instead of Alexander vs Irvin….

some people will complain about everything. you my friend are sad
3 hours long on spike equals one and a half hours of fight coverage and one and a half hours of commercials

hey mania! there should be an area of your website where posters can submit their predictions with % accuracy charts. that would be tite.
Isn’t that called Fantasy. You can do it on the UFC website.
o fo real? didnt know that. thnx for the info.
Sick card but I’m not looking forward to the Diaz fight. That’s gonna be lame, but the rest of it looks better than some of the ppv cards the UFC has come out with this year. Hope Diaz finishes Batman quick or vice versa so I can watch the other fights!

Wow. Tommy got KO’ed? Like, unconcsious or ref stoppage?
Wow. Tommy got KO’ed? Like, unconcsious or ref stoppage?
well it says knockout, not technical knockout….so it sounds like he may of gotten knocked senseless and dropped without ref stoppage…
three knockouts to start the night, not bad
first 5 fights all ending in rd 1 wow. i hope every fight ends in rd 1 lol, that way ill have a better chance of seeing more matches. probably not gonna happen though. but you americans get 3 hours of fights while we in uk get 2 and a half. and we gotta wait till saturday to see it.
Wow. Tommy got KO’ed? Like, unconcsious or ref stoppage?
You act surprise, Anthony Johnson was a terrible match-up for Tommy Speer. Anthony Johnson is possibly the biggest 170 pounder, with pin point striking. He is the Houston Alexander of 170
sorry roman looks like you are a “Poosey”.
Swing bout?????
Maynard vs. Edgar

I’ve only seen him once on the Spencer Fisher/Sam Stout Fight Night. Never really thought about him Houston Alexander-esque. Didn’t Rich Clementi beat him in a unanimous decision?
i have joe for first round tko over florian
Just did my research on Clementi/Johnson. Clementi by sub
Just did my research on Clementi/Johnson. Clementi by sub
The guy is huge, and the problem with that fight is, Anthony Johnson came in weighing.. 178 pounds… I believe in that fight because he took it on such short notice, he could not cut the weight in time.
Anthony Johnson is to me the Houston Alexander of 170. He is huge, strong and fast. One punch connects, you will go to sleep. He defeated Tommy Speer in 0:51 seconds.
And Marcus Aurillio submitted the guy who took the fight on a two week notice, in 18 seconds.
Josh Neer!!! WOW
So how did it go down, was it a dominating performance, or was it a really close fight
Josh Neer vs. Din Thomas
Result: Josh Neer defeats Din Thomas by Unanimous Decision. (30-27 x3)
Ryan Roberts vs. Marcus Aurelio
Result: Marcus Aurelio defeats Ryan Roberts by Submission (Armbar) at 0:16 of R1.
Jeff Cox vs. Manny Gamburyan
Result: Manny Gamburyan defeats Jeff Cox by Submission (Guillotine Choke) at 1:41 of R1.
Clay Guida vs. Samy Schiavo
Result: Clay Guida defeats Samy Schiavo by TKO (Strikes) at 4:15 of R1.
Roman Mitichyan vs. George Sotiropoulos
Result: George Sotiropoulos defeats Roman Mitichyan by TKO (Strikes) at 2:24 of R2.
Anthony Johnson vs. Tommy Speer
Result: Anthony Johnson defeats Tom Speer by TKO (Strikes) at 0:51 of R1.

He won pretty convincingly. He sliced open Din pretty bad. He wore Din out.
AHAHAHAHAHA!!! Houston Alexander got Superman Punched!!!!! AHAHAHAHA!!!!! Flying Knee now Superman Punch KO.
houston goooooooooooooooootttttt owneddddddd lololololololol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BaHaHa Houston got knocked the f**k out!
Well as usual I’m off to a roaring 0-1 start…
how can he argue with that stoppage. he was o-u-t out
Damnit Houston!
wow, did Alexander ever just get knocked out
Houston was out for that split second, but he recovered in an instant. If i was the ref, I would have let it go another second or two. BUt mazzagatti has been known for being extremely safe with the fighters he’s reffing.
BUt mazzagatti has been known for being extremely safe with the fighters he’s reffing.
LOL…what? Mazz? Josh Thompson?
So much for wanting to see an amazing fight! That was garbage, 8 seconds? My god, that was so f*cking disappoiting, Sh*T! Houston was gracious in defeat, Irvin was disrespectful saying to do it again in the parking lot, what a a-hole.
AHAHAHAHAHA!!! Houston Alexander got Superman Punched!!!!! AHAHAHAHA!!!!! Flying Knee now Superman Punch KO.
I could not have been more wrong about this fight. Wow.
what… houston what the hell?
Houston is the kind of fghter that if you let him, he would keep getting back up after being knocked down. Fighters like him make it tricky for refs, but what are you gonna do? I’ll still want to see him again.
i can’t remember if it was Jesse holland or mania that said it but Irvin really does pull flash KO’s out of his ass.

I thought Irvin was going to submit Houston, never did I think he was going to KO Houston… with a Superman Punch.
Can anybody say Houton Alexander and Elite XC?
let’s see id Diaz can make Pellegrino talk out of the side of his mouth again.(joke drum rif)

I said it. But normally Irvin is getting his ass beat before he pulls them out of his ass.
My question is why is Lauzon getting a better opponent and a main event instead of Diaz when Diaz won the show? Seems crappy to me.
Houston should have owned up to that like a man. I thought Irvin was gracious and not as prickish as I pegged him.
