frank shamrock

Former UFC champion and current Strikeforce Middleweight Champion, Frank Shamrock, will make a guest appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live tomorrow night (Friday March 28) to discuss his upcoming title defense against Cung Le.

The show will air at 12:05 a.m. ET on ABC.

As part of the show, Frank will attempt to teach Kimmel’s parking lot security guard Guillermo how to fight. If you’ve ever seen the Kimmel show you know about Guillermo and the hilarious bits Kimmel puts him through. Kimmel uses his likability and broken English to score laughs from the crowd at his expense.

It’s great.

Besides teaching Guillermo how to scrap this should be worth a look simply to hear what Shamrock has to say. He’s never one to shy away when he has the chance to talk about himself and I’m sure he won’t disappoint tomorrow night.

This will be the second big event in a row that Gary Shaw and EliteXC (this time in conjunction with Strikeforce) has used the Kimmel Show as a marketing tool to promote a main event fight. Both Kimbo Slice and Tank Abbott appeared on the show last month to promote their brawl in Miami.

Set the DVRs if you have to, but don’t miss Frank on Kimmel. It should be very entertaining.

Kimmel was pretty funny when Kimbo was on the show. Should be good. Frank will probably make for a better interview then Kimbo did too.

Hope Guillermo kicks his ass.

this should be pretty good. the Jimmy Kimmel show is hilariouis. after Kimbo said he had a good name for him,”jimmy kimbo” . then jimmy said “maybe if we get married” and then he asked Kimbo if he ever had sexual relations with another man, that was funny. cant wait to see what kind of questiions he will ask Frank. i hope that he keeps on getting MMA fighters on his show.

Will definatly be good for MMA. Kimmel is a pretty funny show. Not sure where I rank Frank these days but he was definatly ahead of his time. At least as far as overall aspect balance.

Kimmel isn’t funny. He piggy-backed off Adam Carolla on The Man Show. The first version before Rogan and some other dude tried to remake it.

as much as i would like to see tne MAINEIAC punch the shit out of fedor i would rather see happen it in the UFC. fedor aint ever been hit as hard as big Tim can. if fujita can stun fedor with a punch imagine what Tim can do. it would be a KO in 1st or 2nd, if not a KO then a ref stoppage due to facial laacerations. just curious has fedor ever fought in a cage in his career

i dunno john. i see the words could and may in both so i guess we will just have to wait unyil tomorrow. i think he’s gonna resign unlee eltiexc offers him a ton more cash. the ufc has been very good to sylvia giving him alot of title shots and good respect even though he hasn’t been a fan favorite through most of his career. but then again if the money’s right he could jump and this would be a coup for elite.

Yeah the wording indicates that it isnt concreat intel, but so many different sources reporting the same thing does give us hope. This would be a great fight to shut all the Fedor haters up. stylistically Sylvia is a DREAM for Fedor, Fedor closes distance, Body lock, twists his worldclass hips and gets Timmy on the ground where he will get demolished!

and for those that keep asking if Fedor ever fought in a Cage, I am pretty sure that he hasnb’t. Still, I am so confident that Fedor would maul Timmy….Lets hope it happens!

i think w/ tims size and conditioning he can lean and pray until the 2nd or 3rd rnd, but it would just be a matter of time before fedor catches him w/something. if tim goes for it like he did against big nog i could see fedor in the 1rst rnd, but he would have to take a few good shots and would know he was in a fight. this fight would be intriguing in a cage, since fedors never fought in one.

I agree, but Timmy can not afford to close the distance on Fedor and dry hump him against the cage, because as soon as Fedor gets his hands around Timmy, the big guy is going for a ride. Fedor does not take people down with the traditional wrestling shoot and get a takedown. All his take downs are from his Sambo and Judo background and although Tim has a great Sprawl (for his size), sprawling can defend from Sambo/Judo throws.

His Combat Sambo and Judo background consists of a lot of over and under hooks, which translate really well in the UFC cage. I can see Fedor utilizing his Judo as good as Karo (who’s Judo transitioned the best in the UFC). Timmy wont have any heavyweight training partners to practice against the types of throws. His sprawl will be useless against Fedor.

Tim’s only shot is to completely stay out of Fedor’s range and try to pick him apart. If Fedor gets a hand on him ITS OVER, the fights going to the ground and Tim will never be able to recover from the kind of ground n pound Fedor would unleash, especially since the fight would happen under American MMA rules in which he would be able to add elbows to his destructive G n P…Fedor pressing you up against the cage and dropping elbows down on you is a very scary sight. They may haveto outlaw elbows after they see the kind of damage Fedor will cause with them!

I think he will make an AMAZING transition into to Cage fighting and the USA rules… I actually think he will be much better in a cage and under USA rules than he was in a Japanease ring.

He is going to be really scary, and I hope Dana White is sitting Cage side while Fedor splatters Sylvia’s blood all of Dana Whites Face!
