Should be a good event. Looking forward to it.
Even though there really aren’t any fights that I’m salivating over, can’t pass up MMA on free television.
I cant believe there is a possibility that they wont air the Larson vs. Allesio fight! THat will easily be the fight of the night…what the hell are the executives thinking!
Every WEC event has been great. This one is one of the weaker ones(name recognition)they have showed but I bet the fights will make up it.
Great way to spend a Wed. night
stann all the way
It seems like they cant quite get their weight right in the WEC, LOL!

If this is true, should be some good fights.
Don’t think Jens will have anything for Faber. First round TKO is my prediction. I would like to see Jens put up a good fight, but Faber is just too good.
If Torres perfoms like he did against Beebe, I’ll become a fan of his real quick. Tapia looked good against Antonio Banuelos, but he’s going to have to step it up significantly if he has plans on getting past Torres.

This is very true! WEC announced it today!
Stann TKO round 1.

Reshuffling the fight line-up when Filho withdrew screwed everything. I’d rather see Alessio-Larson than Miura-Avena.

I’m beginning to like the WEC fights better than the UFC fights.

I know, its compltelely ridiculous that that fight isn’t on the main card. There are 3 fighters on this card that have fought in the UFC and therefore posses more recongnizable names to the casual fan. Chael Sonnen, John Alessio, and Brock Larson. You would think that a fight featuring two former UFC fighters would be the main event, let alone on the undercard.
Alessio and Larson combined probably have close to the same amount of fights as the rest of the card combined (minus Sonnen).
So what’s the deal??? Who’s putting money on this card?

I am leaving it alone!
I got a lil sumthin on Marcus Hicks and on Crunkilton. Before leaving work for the day, I will probably flip a coin to decide on the Marshall/Stann fight. I’ve been leaning slightly towards the Rhino ever since the fight was announced.
I’d be mad at myself if I don’t bet an he wins. But if I do bet money on him, he’d lose…
I wonder who that face tatoo’d on Marshall’s ribs is supposed to be?
Is it Fedor dressed like a Roman Gladiator? lol

I also have money on Hicks, and although I haven’t put anything down on the main event, I think people are being way too quick to bet on Stann because he’s been the poster boy for the WEC LHW division (And he’s finished all his fights early). I think Stann will win by KO/TKO or he will lose. The fact that he has been so dominant leading up to this title fight might leave him unprepared, as he hasn’t had to be tested, hasn’t been forced to improve during the fight and I think if things start going bad for him, they’re going to keep going bad until he loses. I think that people underrate the accomplishment of submitting Gandulla the way Rhino did, this site called Gandulla something along the lines of “some 37 year old cuban guy who took too many steroids.” Well, Gandulla was coming off a win over Gary Padilla, who is 8-2, the 2 losses coming by way of split decision to Sokoudjou and Gandulla. I thought Gandulla was a great opponent to throw at Rhino and he dismantled him quite impressively. I wouldn’t criticize anyone for betting on Rhino, and I would criticize someone for betting on Stann (considering the odds).
First of all, I’m a little upset that the Larson/Alessio fight isn’t on the main card. That fight to me is the most exciting matchup of the night. Also, I got Brian Stann winning with a knockout late in the first. I know Marshall is gonna get in his face early and put the pressure on him, but Stann has the reach advantage and I don’t see Marshall getting inside. Stann will pick him apart from the outside and then finish him.
Anyone that wears a wide straight brimmed cap at weighins’ has my vote to lose.. I’ll take Stann on this one
