Was it a fair draw does anybody know? Or was it a Tito Ortiz/Rashad Evans Draw?

They normally show the WEC on tape delay in Canada on TSN, but I don’t think they are broadcasting this at all…I would love to see the Alessio/Larson bout…

As do I.. But I think a lot of people are counting out Doug Marshall. I kinda wished I picked him now, because EVERYBODY is going for Stann..

Couple of comments:

1. Baker was terrible. All he did was attempt weak, ineffective submissions the whole time. Did nothing offensively whatsoever. Horrible game plan.

2. Marshall was terrified of Stann. He looked like he was gonna piss himself during the stare down.

Stann is some kind of animal though. Seems to be a really nice guy too. 6-0 all by knockout with strikes. Crazy.

Good night of fights for sure. A good example of a solid night of fights that weren’t necessarily great on paper coming in.

I thought Marshall would give Stann a challenge but Stann made him another easy 1st round victim. Stann is a beast and in the WEC’s weakest division he could be the champ for a long time.

The combo of Sonnen looking good and Baker looking terrible made that fight as lopsided as you can get for a decision.

The Crunkilton-Gomez fight was terrific and glad it was included on the TV broadcast.

And Frank Mir does such a great job analyzing the fights although it sounded like his voice was shot by the end of the Sonnen-Baker fight.

I agree with brawlin marshall was looking everywhere except at Stann. I had Stann down for 1st rd KO. I’m also happy that Sonnen won and annoyed by the DQ in the Alessio fight.
I was going for Alessio all the way I wish it could have ended properly.
But all in all the event was good.

Wow! That fool Marshall got dropped by a left that didn’t even have full power behind, so that dude Brian Stann must have some heavy hands. That was tha best fight of tha nite. As for tha Sonnen vs Baker fight, Chael Sonnen just spanked Baker, that fool Baker needs to go back and revise his gameplan cause he just made himself look like a fool tonite.

Another great, free WEC event :) and very educational too. I’ve never seen so many d’arce choke attemps in my life.

TITO WON!!!
It was obvious Rashad only had the last 15 seconds or some crap, then the crowd goes wild, and somehow he gets a draw. Rashad didn’t win a round! That’s a loss for Rashad in any intelligent MMA fan’s book.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Doug Marshall got his ass kicked! Dropped by a half-powered punch. Loving it on my end! Especially because I didn’t have to listen to a post-fight interview with him saying “K-D” every other word. “Knocked Dead” for those who haven’t heard him say this 245 times every time a mic comes within feet of his mouth.

The Marine looked good man. The kid will throw with anybody. And he took a couple flush shots, but just kept swinging.

Thank God for a new champ!
