Ken Shamrock stated he "experimented" with steroids in a shoot video. In fact clips of these statments were on you tube with him stating that exact line. The shoot video was about pro wrestling but he defo stated he experimented with them and that a person who is injecting 7cc's is going to gas etc. But this vid is defo out there and was out in the public way before Frank stated the obvious. Anyone who's been around a gym for awhile knows what to look for...Ken believed in what he was doing.
To the two posters who disagreed with me about Frank Shamrock being the best middleweight:
I fully understand why you would doubt the statement- Frank hasn't done nearly as much in the last 8 years as Anderson. My argument is that Frank would respond much better against Silva than his other opponents have, and he is the best opponent to throw at Silva that is in his weight class. Who else are you going to pick- let's see, there's Yushin Okami... I don't think he would be a better test for Anderson at all, he'd be looking for takedowns and maybe a couple submission attempts but Frank could give Anderson trouble anywhere, and he could avoid getting destroyed by Anderson's clinch. Frank may have been knocked out by Yuki Kondo but don't let that fool you- he would be no easy knock out.
Anderson has become overrated- he is susceptible to takedowns, vulnerable to submissions, and is not the most or the second most powerful striker in his weight class. Anderson is a technician. He wins fights by landing a high percentage of his shots, by utilizing the clinch, and by using an evasion-counter-punch strategy. Frank has very similar strengths standing, and I would say he has more power. Frank would also be one of the first of Anderson's opponents, besides Ryo Chonan, who could end the fight by simply grabbing hold of a leg.
I'm not buying it that Anderson is the best and that he has proven to be the best. Paulo Filho is undefeated, Frank Shamrock has lost one fight in the last ten years and it was a disqualification. I am very confident that soon enough Anderson's weakness will be exposed to the point that everyone will rethink his place on the pound for pound list.
Before he is even contemplated being placed in a fight against Silva he would have to prove himself against other middleweights. He has fought nobodies for too long. Put him in there against Henderson or Franklin, real opponents to see if he comes out the winner and then he might be considered good enough to be in a fight with Silva. Silva may be "easy" to take down, as you suggest, but he doesnt struggle on the ground. Frank is not as good as Henderson on the ground so why do you think he would fair better than he did? If the fight was kept on their feet Anderson again would be too quick and awkward for Frank. Henderson, Franklin, Shamrock, Murray, all have more power than Silva in their punches but that means nothing if your up against a world class technician. Look at what happened to all those fighters and the same would happen to Shamrock.

Shamrock may have been good in his days but you cannot consider him to be the best if hes not fighting world class opponents. Anderson has a case for people to think he is the best P4P, hes beating world class fighters with relative ease. Once Shamrock starts doing that again then this may become a real debate.
Hahaha, I love the guy.
He's entertaining.
I just watched Bas Rutten vs. Frank (I think their second fight, but I could be wrong) where Bas is hitting him and he's just pulling faces at Bas.
Classic fight.
Yeah, it worked lol. He got Bas pissed off and he hit Frank with a closed fist and got disqualified! Genius. Good ole Pancrase.

FJS is a true legend. Can't wait for the FJS Cung Le fight. It might be epic!
Frank...tito your toughest battle yet? Why i am glad you stated that cause all the haters on this site will say different. Thats right mma fans tito is the real deal! Im just waiting for more fighters to come out and speak the truth.LONG LIVE TEAM PUNISHMENT!!!
You call people that realize the truth about Tito haters because you are in denial that your favorite fighter is washed up and in his prime wasn't all that in the first place. Wake up and smell the coffee homie, Tito isn't even in the top 5 LHWs in the UFC and hasn't been for a few years now. Tito will never get past Chuck so how do you expect him to even be considered to fight Rampage. He should get into the porn business with his girl because from now on he will only be a mediocre fighter and thats now hating thats truthing
