That 2nd knee hurt him and those 3 strikes bouncing his head off the canvas did him in.

Obviously, this was no match. However, it looks like Cro Cop was going for some Thai clinch action and then came around with the knees. I can't remember ever seening cro cop throw serious knee strikes in the clinch?

The more you see the heavies in the UFC stand around on the fence in the clinch, you realize, this is a perfect angle for Crocop to add to his game. The power in his hips and legs could spell some disasterous knee strikes to some of his opponents. Could this be some kind of plan after getting tied up and taking his striking away, is to work on the muay thai stuff.

I'd like to see his next fight.

Maybe he reazlied that you can knee your opponent in the nuts a couple good times before they even warn you or deduct a point. By the, he could take their head off when they are hunched over, haha.

When CC comes back the only UFC fighter (HW) who will be able to take him out will be Brock Lesnar. Laugh all ya want to but just watch!

"I like to kick"

Oh yeah, Let's remember for those who seem to quickly forget: kongo's ass should have been disqualified, and at the very least penalized, which would have resulted in the fight being a draw!!!

Cro Cop is one of the best heavyweights there is. All fighters have a time in their career when they loose(excluding Fedor) But now he is gunna come back and take out Nogueira. Fedor admitted that his hardest fight was Cro Cop. And Fedor has beaten Nogueira more than once. So we will see if he can make a comeback.
ZzZzZzZz How can you say Cro Cop is "back" after this laugher?
This was like watching Mirko work the heavy bag for 40 seconds.
He'll be happy finishing his career in Dream, fighting straw men and side-show acts, a la Fedor.
-sideshow acts heh ala fedor??? your are too funny but oh soo wrong UFC fan...
what a bunch of haters... bunch of rookie mma fans probably, guess you guys didnt see him KO wanderlei silva, alexander emelianenko, ivan vovchanchyn, TKO josh barnett, heath herring, mark coleman, hidehiko yoshima, eddie sanchez and submit kevin randleman... yea all these guys are "illegitamate" fighters. must have missed all that video footage.
Cro Cop easily looked 15-20 pounds heavier than he ever has which means hes obviously stepped up his training. I hope Cro Cop gets Cheick Congo when he comes back to the UFC so he can crack some ribs and retire that guy for a year or so. I dont think well ever see a more motivated Cro Cop after the comments made by Cheick Congo, saying Cro Cop was running away from real competition. But yeah anyways, ignore everything i said and keep bashing on an MMA legend whos been fighting for years because he lost two fights in the octagon.
Couldn't have been put better he's fought and beat some of the best in the world and everyone seems to forget that when they talk about him now. He'll be back in due time and I can't wait

This win was nothing different than his wins in Pride. I'm glad to finally see a win overall for Cro Cop but I don't think it showed he can do anything else. If he's to come back to the UFC this win sure doesn't seem like he can handle any fighter in the cage, who has done his homework on Cro Cop.
LOL, look at who he fought. The UFC does not have a single fighter that is that bad in the HW division. Scott Junk would lay the beatdown on Mizuno. Actually, that dude wasn't even a HW I don't think...
Cro Cop is BACK!!!!
I don't think anyone is taking a single thing away form Cro Cop in his PRIDE days, because back then, he was the man. However, my last sentence needed to include "back then" because this is not the same Cro Cop that won the 2006 Open Weight Grand Prix. That was only like a year and a half ago. The fact of the matter is that PRIDE was bought, he came to the UFC expecting to KO 2 crappy fighters and then fight Randy for the belt. However, that was not the case at all. Someone that was like a Top 20 HW at the time (Gabe) absolutely dismantled and destroyed Cro Cop. Cheick Kongo who can't do a thing against Heath Herring is able to beat up Cro Cop in a pretty much all standing fight? The Cro Cop in the UFC was not the same as the Cro Cop in PRIDE. However, it is still the same person. His excuse for the Gabe fight was that he didn't train in an octagon. What was his excuse for the Kongo fight? Getting knee'd in the nuts a couple of times. Suck it up, it happens. A broken rib? Well you know how it got broke? Kongo broke it and he broke Cro Cop in that fight.

I really dont see how beating up some amateur Japanese fighters over seas is going to better prepare him to compete with the Top 5 of the UFC? He definitely has the skills and assets to do so, but his head just isn't in it, and he does not like to fight in a cage.
