Sonnen did not get ripped off he’s barely another challenger if anything he’s getting more time to prepare. Paulo was probably already under a lot of pressure on his last fight and realized his performance was affected-smart fighter why fight if you’re not prepare-Why go to war if you’re unprepared.Paulo get ‘im boy.

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say it’s cocaine. Most of you guys seem to think so too. It’s hardly surprising if it is cocaine, it’s used far too much in a social context. All the big cheeses think it’s a rite of passage or something. Stupid inflated egos.

With all that being said, get well soon Paulo. Hope Anderson and Nog stick a pin in his head; deflate his ego then maybe we’ll see the best Paulo yet. Oh yeah, if he really wants prove himself, he should lose some mass and head to the UFC WW division. He won’t beat GSP though.

I dont know how anyone can judge Paulo by this. He is making the right decision, and going about things the right way. Not many people know what its like to deal with the stress and demons that fully focused professional athletes deal with. MMA fighters like Paulo have their diets and livelyhood down to a science, where they cant eat much outside of their diet, and training consumes their every being. Not having a release leads to things like Cocaine (which is easy for an MMA fighter, seeing as its out of your system in a short time) painkillers and other things. Lots and LOTS of MMA fighters have been addicted to substances, Bas Rutten is an amazing fighter, ever see the # of prescribed drugs in his drug test? Melvin and Ricco both got hit with Coke at one time or another. Does that make them bad men? No… Shit, I drink pretty frequently, dont know how well I could handle going from college drinking all the time, to being a pro athlete and not being able to due to training.

there is a lot more to think about here then just ‘what an asshole so-and-so is.’ I really feel bad for Paulo, and numerous other athletes that develope substance abuse, both legally and illegaly. Their life is definitely not an easy one.

a lot of athletes are into cocaine because its only in your system for 36 hours, whereas marijuana can be in your system for up to 6 weeks depending on the amount of body fat, physical activity, and metabolism. so with coke, they can use it all they want and not really have to worry about failing the pee pee test.

its without a doubt cocaine, a little more money into the pockets makes ya move up to the next expensive drug. he prob got hooked on it real quick gooin to those clubs and shit..

I still dont understand why all the Ex-Brazilian top team fighters are signed with one organization or another except for Riccardo Arona…please I dont want to hear any factless steroid allegations!

I bring this up because Filho is basically a mini arona with a slightly better stand up.

could be. that is a side affect. i usually ahte it when someone brings up roids w/ no proof or positive test, but like hendo stated they dont test in japan so how do we know. its like mlb when they didnt test. you dont know who was or wasn’t using. i think the only way to tell is when afighter suddenly underperforms badly when he fights where he has to be tested.

Too bad. I wanted to see Sonnen work him. He should not be stripped if he can fight in june. Any later than that and he should be stripped.

I hope this means that he is officially out of any top ten lists.

I wish Fihlo luck. I know how hard what he is dealing with can be.

i definently think he should, give that belt to someone who wants to stay clean and be a positive role model and trains there ass off. i know id be pissed if i spent my life trying to accomplish shit like this and the guy with the belt is blowing it.
