We’ve been doing some maintenance to the back-end, which has hampered our ability to post as often as we’d like in the past 48 hours.

We’ll be back to normal shortly.

In the meantime, check out the video of poor old Ken Shamrock last night right here.

Stating the obvious here but he really needs to just stop. He is tarnishing what was a great career.

Did Ken even get hit when he went down? My friend and I think if he did it was on the arm.

Yeah I was thinking that too, but I think the straight left jab was the one that rocked him, then the clip to the chin just pushed him over the edge.

Ken had no business fighting someone 20lbs heavier than him anyway. Too bad.

Agree with that. Plus I just don’t get his strategy to stand up with the guy with that much of a reach advantage. He didn’t shoot once and his hands are just ridiculously slow at this point in his career.

He probably did it for the money. He also probably knew his chances of winner were slim to none, but a win would have looked good for him.

I wonder how much he got paid for this fight though, had to be a good paycheck

He probably got a nice chunk of change for that fight.

Also, I liked the knee bar by Masakazu Imanari against Jean Silva. You know that hurt. lol

this is just ridiculous….I was a huge Shamrock fan, but the guy just needs to stick to traiing people not actually fighting. My opinion is after watching this fight, i almost looks fixed….Ken just stood there not really doing anything, kinda like a punching bag that moves somewhat. He shot once, but it didnt look like a good attempt at all. Then, he chooses to stand there and try to bang it out. He throws a left that actuall connects this time and it semi-rocked buzz, then he gets knocked down on what looks like a punch that barely connected if at all on his chin, then the ref was already running to stop it before he hit the ground lol!!! I think Elite XC is bullshit sometimes….

I disagree when Shamrock has had success it has been as a HW and did you see his fight with Kimo?

That or maybe the ref was worried Shamrock was hurt since the guys is getting too old to be fighting

Man, Shamrock looked horrible. He came in great shape, but his fighting abilities are just rank now.

I completely agree. With this fight and the Kimbo-Cantrell fight, it seems like there’s something going on with Elite XC. The other thing i was thinking was maybe shamrock just wanted out. He was getting beat up before the knockdown and i just thought maybe he just didnt wanna fight anymore. The only thing that makes this seem like it wouldnt be fixed is that shamrock vs kimbo would have been a HUGE event to premiere with on CBS.

He weighed in at 216. He should be down to LHW if he’s going to go into a fight so light. Myself I don’t think he ever stood a chance, He should hang em up though…He was once the Worlds Most Dangerous Man, and now not so dangerous. I have a lot of respect for the hall of famer but your time is up. If yor looking for competition open a training camp or with all that money start another organization, we all know how much the UFC loves the competition.
