History speaks for itself sir. Your failure to understand the idea of being anonymous is exactly why the minnesota commission is a joke! You believe that your position gives you the right to value or under value a persons opinion just because they choose to be anonymous! I can verify that you have never stepped foot into a ring or cage but, you believe you can speak of such things or even make rules for or against without any perspective! You expected the I’m a black belt in this or I’m a black belt in that to mean something. I could buy a black belt from numerous martial arts schools but, that doesn’t mean I’m a black belt. You say your a black belt in this or that but, you have never stepped foot into the ring. You speak of something you know nothing about!

I would love for you as a commissioner and a supposed supporter of the sport and the commission to educate us “uneducated” and simply post the rules you expect to change, why you expect them to be changed, and the benefit of such changes.

Also sir, if I weren’t as educated as I am, I believe that I would explain who I am and you sir would apologize for your comments with regards to the titles I hold! As I am certain sir that you are not challenging my abilities. I do not challenge your sir, out of respect as you should do!

Yes I do believe that anonymous postings carry no weight to anyone at all and anything that can not be verified can not be believed or taken seriously.

The current bill going through the state legislature has all of the info on the changes. As a Commission we will be dealing with this very topic in great detail on April 7th, because we don’t like the way some things are worded. But rather than list everything in the bill here, put in some time and look it up or talk to any of the “real” trainers/fighters/promoters what is going on and I’m sure they can tell you…some in great detail (Team Bison again) they have had a great deal of influence and input with the “New” commission.
2008 is the only year I’m concerned with because it is the only year that they have 4 commissioners just for MMA.

2008 is the year you speak of as your basis but, the year is only 3 months old so I’ll obviously have to speak of track records. If the commission is trying to lower the fees and insurance please give more detail as to how your trying to do that so the rest of us on this blog can watch this “new volunteer commission” follow through with its promises!
To speak of casinos as a negative was only to prove that promoters are now going to casinos to avoid the commission because of the way it operates, the fees, etc… No one, not even you would imply I was being discriminatory! At least I hope not.
With regards to your stating i said “local fighters are second rate.” If you would have paid attention to what I wrote you would have understood my comments with regards to the fighters they bring in. (ie out of town fighters coming to town) If you knew as much as you think you do, you would not need me to explain the economics of the promotion business. The commission takes money that could go to getting more quality fighters from out of town thus, making substantially better fights.
To answer Ridler, let me say this: Your a karate instructor! Not a fighter! I spent time in the ring. Years in fact. To speak of accolades as a basis for my argument or that I should somehow not be anonymous in my writing so you could validate my point is pointless! Let me give you a history lesson sir, Our country was founded on Anonymous writing! Does being anonymous make them or this less credible? Does giving you my name and my “unknown titles” make me more credible to you? I need not be credible to you. I am only pointing out the facts of the state of the commission in Minnesota! You sir are misguided in the fact that you listed your accolades as if they would impress me or anyone else reading this.
In closing commissioners good luck with your schemes and the political “red tape” you create! If you truly wanted to help the sport, you’d ban this commission and fight against any future commissions! They remove the local small business promoters out and make way for those with the money and political backing to keep fighting sports corrupt and self serving. Learn from your history fellas or be doomed to repeat it!

You go back and forth between “local fighters are great and need recognition” to “local fighters are second rate”? Don’t you think that if the Commission was power hungry and self serving, bringing in UFC would just feed that ego? If you come to the meeting you would learn that the current commission is trying to lower the fees involved including the mandatory insurance requirement and fighter dues…
I’m assuming that you are against ALL commissions and oversight or authority. what year are you 6 titles from? pre-commission? Are we talking MMA or tough man?

what exactly are your 6 titles, unkown titles don’t speak for themselves? Feel free to come to the April 7th meeting and voice your discord, and talk with the other promoters/trainers/and fighters who take the time and interest to show up. If you need directions I’m sure Mike Reilley from team bison can give them to you, he’s at every meeting, usually early.
I have no problem at all with the Indian casinos hosting events, do you have a problem with this? They have the venue and don’t have to deal with any of the red tape that we face to get things done.
Which shows would you be talking about in 2008 that has had no shows of the commission? Everyone quit in 2007 and there are now 9 volunteer commissioners on board, and since then I believe that we have been at every show, perhaps you are referring to before they appointed “members with knowledge of MMA”. Yes the commission is making so much money off of MMA that it still is not “self sufficient” as mandated, and now we as commissioners have been asked to give more time as volunteer and give up our 50 cents per mile gas money,,,I can see how all this money would go to my head.
If you were coming to the meetings you would know that we are adapting the same unified rules/regulations used in most other states that allow MMA events, and also beginning the process of starting an armature MMA. The past Commission made A LOT of mistakes, I’ll give you that. But unless you are coming to the meetings and voicing your opinion you are just another anonymous poster.
