UFC 85 TicketsTickets for UFC 85 at the O2 Arena on Saturday, June 7, will be available to purchase during an exclusive presale that begins this upcoming Sunday (March 2).

The 205-pound showdown between superstars, Chuck Liddell and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, is slated to headline the second event for the promotion in the United Kingdom in 2008.

Here are all the particulars:

UFC Fight Club presale: Sunday, March 2 at 5 a.m. ET (10 a.m. GMT)
UFC Newsletter presale: Wednesday, March 5 at 5 a.m. ET (10 a.m. GMT)
General ticket sale: Friday, March 7 at 5 a.m. ET (10 a.m. GMT)

UFC 85 tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster.com or StubHub.com
(Note: StubHub often has seats available even if the event is “sold out.”)

Heavyweights Brandon Vera and Fabricio Werdum are expected to clash on the card and there’s speculation that Brock Lesnar will also be competing that same evening to capitalize on his WWE fame overseas.

However, this is scheduled as an “international event” that will air at 3 p.m. ET. Other events are categorized as “PPV Live” or “UFC Fight Night.” Therefore, it’s unknown at this time if the show will be FREE on television (SpikeTV or some other possible new partner that is yet to be revealed) or if it will be a PPV event.

With Liddell already on the card and possibly Lesnar — two huge PPV draws — it’s hard to imagine this being a FREE fight night. Time will tell.

Remember also that a fight between welterweights Mike Swick and Marcus Davis is in the works, meaning that this is already shaping up to be a great night (or afternoon) of solid mixed martial arts (MMA) action.

Feel free to check out the rest of the rumored line up right here.

When its at 3, they will have it on tape delay of its free, and if its on PPV it will be offered live at 3 and on delay at the usual 10pm. I have no issues.

The afternoon start times suck , but for the MMA fans in Europe it’s a nice change. The shows from Vegas don’t start till 3am in London.

Why shouldn’t it be free on tv? This would make for a great introduction to the sport. Lesnar and Liddell are familiar names and if Chuck wins he sets up a title shot, therefore leading the new fans to consider purchasing the ppv.

Currently they are in negotiations with Spike TV to make it a free event, but nothing has been announced either way yet.

Us British fans have to wait till 3am if we want to see it live, to catch the main event is often near 4 or 5 in the morning. I live in teh UK and the only UFC I have ever seen live was UFC 80 so count yourselves lucky!! lol. Will definitely be buying tickets for this! Shogun>Chuck

mattyb: he’s referring to the PPV broadcast, 75 was free. But I still went, because its London baby ! cheap for me to fly from my country, which is Iceland.

I’m gonna be in London for this event so I’m stoked no matter how they decide to show it. I don’t think it would be that crazy for them to show it for free- the card is looking a little stacked for a free show, but they showed the first unification of the pride-ufc belts for free so I definitely wouldn’t count it out.

Anyone know how much the UK tickets usually go for?

haha, Shogun is my favorite fighter, but based on his terrible showing at UFC 76, i dont think he has a chance against the iceman

skatanicus.
Been to most of the UK shows and tickets start from around 30.00GBP, they range up to about 250.00GBP. I was there for the last London show at O2 and you’ll get a pretty decent view wherever you’re sat. Hope this helps!

pommysam.
friday the 7th i believe for general public. I’m sure mania can confirm!
