Anderson Silva is a beast, but so is Hendo. Should be a great fight….Can’t wait! Silva via TKO 2nd or 3rd
Silva is going to go down in history as top 3 all-time. TKO in 2.
Mania, can you please post the source link?
No one has even come close to stopping Silva. Only way I think Hendo can win is if he gets the TKO/KO first. Silva is just too good. Hendo is not going to keep him on the ground. It’s all about the clinch game on this one.
“My goal is to hold it and keep it till I retire”
That reminds me off someone..oh wait, Randy Couture.
ANDERSON SILVA IS NOT THAT GOOD THE UFC SURE DOESNt PAY HIM LIKE IT EITHER!!!
THERE is no way he’s lkeeping his belt till re retires!! NO way..
MOST fans only have seen him in usa, he’s been defeatde before and it will happen again.
He’s very arrogant saying that pretty much DAN HENDERSON WHOM KTFO out of Wanderlei Silva.
He’s also beat Vitor Belfort, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, Renato Sobral, Kazuo Misaki, Kazuhiro Nakamura, Renzo Gracie, and Murilo Bustamante to name a few!!!!
DOnt forget he’s never been knocked out!!!!
He gave Rampage a run for his money and proved he can go 5 rounds, ANDERSON’s COnditioning is QUESTIONABLE UNTIL he GOES % rounds,

Maybe you should think before you talk. Ryo Chonan sub’d him with a flying scissor heel hook.

I’m talking about within the UFC, and yes I kno Ryo Chonan Sub’d him. It was a great submission, but before he got that off, it wasn’t looking too good for him. Did Ryo Chonan do anything his last fight with Karo? No. Let’s not talk about fights that are over 4 years old. It has no relevance with his performance and domination that is now, the present.
silva is bad ass but i would like to know who he thinks he has fought that is tougher than dan henderson.i still have to go with dan in this one but this should show how good silva realy is if he beats dan i don’t think anyone will beat him.

So you think that if the fight goes 5 full rounds that Henderson doesn’t have a chance at winning a decision? I bet to differ. I don’t think the fight will go 5 rounds, but if it does, I say advantage Hendo. Anderson has never gone 5 rounds, and Hendo has, against a larger opponent. There is no way that Hendo is going to stand on the outside for 25 minutes allowing the spider to pick him apart and win each round. If this happens, Hendo will force the fight to the clinch and to the ground. I’ll tell you one thing though, Hendo is not looking for a submission in this fight!
Henderson can win by: TKO, KO, or decision
Silva can win by: Submission, decision, or TKO (with TKO being the least likely)
I see this fight ending by a KO standing, or Hendo GnP’ing a win or Silva submitting Hendo from the bottom.

I agree that it could go to decision, but very unlikely. The only reason Silva hasn’t gone 5 rounds is b/c he finishes his fights with either a TKO or submission. (within the UFC) This is definitely going to be a good fight. Alot of clinching, and take downs from Hendo. Silva is just so crisp with his striking. I know Hendo’s never been KO’d but look at Franklin. He got completely dominated twice. I actually want to see Hendo give Silva a run for his money, but all I’m saying is that Silva has shown complete dominance in his 5 UFC fights.
ok next question spider… who did you fight that was bigger challenge than Hendo is going to be?…. hmmm.
Yeah true, Silva has been dominant in the UFC thus far. But, as we’ve been shown before, styles make fights, not records. Silva hasn’t been up against someone with the wrestling like Hendo. Match that up with his thick head, solid chin, and knock out power, and he’s a pretty dangerous match up for Silva. I have Hendo winning this fight either by descision or TKO, but I’ll be rooting for Silva, just because I want him to move on to other divisions.
Anderson Silva vs Chuck Liddell would be too good. I’d pay double to watch Liddell get torn apart by Silva. lol

GSP coming from 170!!!
hahah jokes
It’s very unfortunate for Dan Henderson, why, cuz he disrespected the Spider. Any one who disrespects him ends up on the floor with their eyes closed. I see Dan going to sleep for the first time in his career. It will be very entertaining to watch though. Silva by KO in the first!!!
Hendo won one and lost one to Wanderlei who has a similar style to Anderson. Although Anderson’s strikes are much more precise than Wanderlei’s, Wanderlei has a lot more power than Anderson and in the first fight Hendo took some hard shots from wandi(also from the clinch) and the guy just kept on fighting. The guy is tough and to count him out of any fight in the LHW ir MW division would be crazy. I don’t know why but I have a funny feeling Hendo wins this fight.
both these guys are class guys. its nice to see a guy like silva that wants to be a great ambassador for the sport.
that said, ill be pulling for hendo, i hope its a war.
How can Dan Henderson not be the biggest Challenge for him? Rich Franklin is the only top 5 MW he has beaten. Franklin doesnt compare to Hendo.
Silvas just trying to make himself feel better by saying that handerson is not his toughest test. He and everyone else knows that Dan is a legend who can beat anyone he fights at any time,
silva is no where near dans stature. Someone please tell me who else has held multiple belts at the same time in Pride, and won The UFC tournement so technically he was a UFC Champion as well. And thats when they fought more than once each night
If Dan retired today he goes down as one of the top five fighters ever.
Let’s do an exhibition match and put Brock Lesnar Vs Anderson Silva, see what happens..
The way silva hits the speed bag is an incredible demonstration of hand speed. Boxers dont even work the speed bag like that
But thats all it is SPEED he has no real power in his hands his power comes from his muy tai knees
The one fight he ended with his hands against Mardquart was not standing. When a fighter is getting punched while on the bottom his head absorbes two impacts the punch and then the real impact of the head bouncing on the canvas.
Silva does not have knockout power in his hands and this is undisputable
I really think Henderson will win this fight, and I think he will. However, looking at that tape reminded my how good this guy actually is. He may not have the power of Rampage but he never bloody misses a shot when in range.
The UFC is lucky to have this fight, as it over shadows what the assholes are doing to Arlovski.

Quoted this comment from the post above mine. Just thought that the sentence was a little repetative, lol, I like it.

i pretty much agree with v mike on this one, hendo is a huge threat to anyone he fights and has superior wrestling to anyone currently in the middleweight division (my opinion dont hate) silva is a great striker, but his opponents so far have failed to see his weaknesses or have a game plan.
this is anyones fight, but im leaning towards hendo if he utilizes his wrestling and gets silva to the ground the belt could be his
I’m getting tired of hearing about those PRIDE belts cuz PRIDE is dead. It’s too weird to put a PRIDE belt on the line under UFC rules. It’s a piece of trash now , it’s gotta go.

a piece of trash, are you kidding me. bringing together the pride and ufc belts have settled agruements that have gone on for years
That bag teathered to the ceiling and floor that he was hitting impressed me alot, no wonders his prescision is so crazy.
i love how people always question someones cardio because they end fights quickly. Silva has destroyed all his opponents in the UFC in under 3 rounds. Why does he have suspect cardio all of a sudden? Because he beats people before the 5th round? Grow up and realize dominance when you see it.
And the chonan sub was pure luck. Anyone who knows anything about MMA knows that was a fluke. Anderson beats chonan everyday for the rest of his life if he wanted to.
Hendo is gonna finish it in either the 2nd or 3rd round. I see Dan taking Anderson down and mauling him until the referee pulls him off.
Either guy is more than capable of beating the other and thats no secret. However, some of you are spouting off about some of Hendo’s previous fights in a manner that makes me believe they’ve only seen the highlights & not the fight in its entirety. I see the same thing with folks talking about Silva’s previous fights.
Hendo vs Wand part one was a serious brawl where Hendo was in trouble on a few occasions. If Wand had Anderson’s precision & patience, Dan would’ve been stopped.
Hendo vs Vitor was another good scrap & Vitor actually tossed Dan around a bit believe it or not so Hendo can definitely be over-powered by a larger opponent.
Silva vs Ryo had Silva up on the score cards & he was on his way to a unanimous decision win. Ryo pulled that flying heel hook out of the clear blue sky. It was superbly executed but in all honesty it was an act of desperation on Ryo’s part that just so happened to pay off.
I’m gonna go back & watch those fights again to be sure my opinion isnt biased & I suggest you all do the same

the arguments between pride and ufc is over, pride is out of business, the pride belt is a piece of history but in the ufc, it’s useless so it’s trash now, that’s the point I’m saying.
