damn, i want to see all these fights. i loved boetsch's last fight, but i would rather see clay guida. i mean, come on! he was kicking undefeated roger huerta's ass in the main event of a live ufc event. he got caught and ruined my day, but watever.
PRIDE 33 was less than 3 hours, I believe. It was fight after fight after fight. None of the BS that we get with the UFC. I mean seriously, how many clips of the black and white interviews are we going to see over and over again of Hendo and Silva during the PPV before the bell to the main event actually rings (I know there's no bell, but there isn't even a Big John to say "lets get it on", so I didn't know what to put)
So Pride managed to broadcast all the fights on the card in less then 3 hours? WOW...they UFC really needs to cutt out all the BS interview clips. Those black and white clips should be used as a marketing tool to get people to purchase the event. Why air them during the pay per view Broadcast, if you are watching the broadcast then you obvilusly already purchased it and probably have seen those clips endless amounts of time. I pay for the fights, not the clips, not Rogan....Just the fights

Not saying that PRIDE was better then the UFC, but the Since purchasing PRIDE the UFC could have used some of their production techniques and other things that made PRIDE succesfull. All they did by purchasing Pride was get about 25% of PRIDE fighters in the UFC.

The UFC should have combined the great aspects of Pride with the Great aspects of the UFC and created an even better product.

VM: Do u remember how long the Pride pay per view telecast lasted. The UFC has a 3 hour slot, I would guess PRIDE pay per views were longer. I ask because eventually I would love to see the UFC start airing the entire program but thats probably just wishful thinking.

As for the Aurelio fight, he unleashed a nasty ground n pound on Claudillo, that fight was stopped prematurely but at least Aurelio looked good for once in the UFC.
VM: U have to see the undercard fights on UFC 78 validation....they were all amazing. We should have went to the event because the undercard was very worthy. As for Aurelio, he looked great against luke Claudillo (trains Rashad and that Camp). Not that Cluadillo is some big name fighter but at least Aurelio put on an exciting fight.
Akahiro Gono vs. Tamden McCrory was awesome, as was Joe Lauzon's destruction of reinhardt!
Best undewrcard fight ever: Tiago Alves vs. Chris Lytle
Out of those fights, the Aurelio fight is the only one that I haven't seen. The other 3 all made their way to YouTube or dailymotion.
hope some of the fights end early so we can see most of the card. if not ill just wait till the next day and download the prelims i guess. great card and looking better then a PPV or 2 from last year.
Didn't the last UFN or the TUF 6 Finale have 8 fights shown? I can't remember which it was, but they have been showing more fights as of late. Right now I am just hoping that the UFN isn't presented by some cheesy movie that we will have to watch a 10 minute preview and then listen to Rogan interview the star of the movie. That always takes away one full fight.

I'm really looking forward to the clash of the wreslters in Frankie Edgar/Gray Manyard. I really hope Frankie can take it to him. I also hope the Houstan/Irvin fight lives up, don't really care who wins that one.

And man, just as hard to call as Hendo/Silva is the Joe/Kenny fight, I have no idea, changed my mind back adn forth 100 times already.
Yeah, trying to analyze the Lauzon vs. Florian fight will just drive you crazy. Too hard to call. Florian is the real deal, very skilled and poised, as for Joe, he is just a freakin ANIMAL..... Joe will be the underdog and I feel he is worth a wager on him!
Very close fight to call, but since Florian has been in there with some of the best at 155 he has the experience advantage for sure even though he hasn't had that many mma fights, they have basically all been in the UFC. Like John said, Lauzon is an animal. Florian hung in there with Sherk for 5 rounds. Lauzon clipped Pulver with a hook and put him to sleep. I really wish that we got to see the Florian/Din Thomas fight play out. That would have been a great indicator of where Kenny's skills are at, obviously since it was his most recent fight... I think that Kenny's Mark DeLagratti Muay Thai skills will be the deciding factor in this fight. Kenny is the more skilled BJJ fighter, but Joe has been training with BJ Penn, so that should be neutralized. I wouldn't be surprised if this fight ended by ref stoppaged due to a Kenny FloBow.
I was the biggest PRIDE fan out there, but I never actually ordered a PRIDE event on pay per view.... I just collected the 'sCan anyone who has purchased a PRIDE event on pay per view tell me how many fights they actually aired?
John, I believe that they always televised all of the fights. I had only actually ordered a couple of the PPV's and I know for sure that for PRIDE 33 they aired all of the fights. I LOVED it, there was none of the stupid BS inbetween fights. They had their opening ceremonies that gets you PUMPED up and then the fights start and its non stop action from there. Plus, you can never forget about the female announcer that announces the fighters as they come down to the ring, and then there was the master pimp of all of mma.

i hope clays fight is shown first on the undercards. he is always exciting. also i think spencer/aurilleo could be the darkhorse fight of the night.
I would say that Din Thomas vs Josh Neer is the best fight on the undercard.

Everybody loves a Clay Guida fight, but seriously, who is Sammy Schiavo? I google him and I can't even find his record.

I always enjoy watching a Spencer Fisher fight, wich the lone exception of his previous performance against Frankie Edgar where it looked like he didn't even know that wrestling was apart of mma. Marcus Aurelio really hasn't been doing much for me lately. He looked very lackluster against Guida, and I am still convinced that one of the judges somehow got the two fighters mixed up with each other because there is NO WAY that that fight was a split decision. Clay clearly won all 3 rounds, as 2 of the judges saw it.
Im gonna miss my CSI because of the 3 hour :(
Will they be having new episodes come April?

I’m really looking forward to the clash of the wreslters in Frankie Edgar/Gray Manyard. I really hope Frankie can take it to him. I also hope the Houstan/Irvin fight lives up, don’t really care who wins that one.

And man, just as hard to call as Hendo/Silva is the Joe/Kenny fight, I have no idea, changed my mind back adn forth 100 times already.
Yeah, trying to analyze the Lauzon vs. Florian fight will just drive you crazy. Too hard to call. Florian is the real deal, very skilled and poised, as for Joe, he is just a freakin ANIMAL….. Joe will be the underdog and I feel he is worth a wager on him!
