Wow, nice interview by Herring. Well spoken, articulate, informed…. not what I expected at all.

Best of luck against the big French guy…:)

McCain has “flip flopped” a bit on MMA. I’ve heard him say that since the UFC has added some new rules it’s ok.
NPR should hire Herring as a political annalist.

I like Kongo in this one. Hearing has shown time and time again that he gasses, while Kongo is always in top condition. Kongo has decent takedown defense and will enjoy a hell of a reach advantage. Kongo by KO!

I agree, very well spoken, seems like a really nice guy, I hope he gets the win…

Neither of these guys has a chance against real top opponents. This will be the most boring standup fight any of you have ever seen. I wouldn’t even televise this fight.

Have only seen a couple of herring’s fights in pride and so far in the UFC have not been impressed. He is definatly a fighter but not sure he has the fine tuned skill of the top level guys. I definatly see Kongo winning the standup with better technique and power but as far as good take down defense I have never seen it and see heath taking him down and pounding him out. One thing I really like about heath is no excuses and ducks no one. Win or lose he is tough.

I’m tossed up on the Florian-Lauzon fight… really tough call for me… Lauzon has more potential than 90% of fighters out there… Florian has proven himself over and over again.. really tough pick.

Yeah I wanted to see Guida fight too. Just because he has more losses than wins in the UFC. But, I guess he’s lucky to still be around seeing how they (UFC) like to drop people after a couple losses. lol Can’t really compair his record to his tallent though.

A back and forth, high intensity, action packed debatable loss is 10 times better than getting a boring decision win when it comes to getting your next fight booked.

Totally agree with this post about Guida….The guy is a warrior who has only faced the best since being in the UFC. All his fights have been exciting and I give him much respect and I dont care if he wins or looses as long as he keeps fighting tough guys and putting on the exciting shows I have become accustomed to seeing out of him. Much Props to ClayGuida!

Exactly right. He’s more entertaining in a loss than a lot fighters are in wins. Plus, a couple of his losses were split decisions, which just means that if the judges had been sitting in different seats he might have won.

Along with Andrei Arlovski, Heath is my favourite heavy weight and I feel sick everytime I think of that fight with Big Nog (even more so than I did the Kongo v CroCop).

Herring with smash Kongo and hopefully get another shot (4th) at Big Nog. For me, Herring is the ultimate HW.

Kim “Yoko Ono” Couture is on HGH…LMAO… I love it. We should all start this viscious rumor and spread it all over other mma sites. How great would it be if the rumor picks up steam and we hear Randy defending her in interviews…. That would be so funny! We should do it. We should all chip in to get it written in t he center of the octagon during the next UFC event.

Last time the center of the octagon was sporting Harley davidson, this time it shouold say… KIM Couture is on HGH in big bold letters…. That would be priceless!
