He can fight a couple lesser opponents in between fights to boost his record so that the UFC can still market him to the fans who dont know him. If he looses to Silva, he can beat up on Franklin and then fight Wanderlei because as much as I want to see Franklin vs. Hendo, I dont think Franklin would stand a chance against him. Or he can fight and beat lutter, Marquardt, Cote in between fights so that he will be always floating around the top 10 in the minds of the casual us fans. He doesnt have to face those guys in that order. He can fight a couple lesser opponents in between fights to boost his record so that the UFC can still market him to the fans who dont know him.
