I think most people with these comments don't know shit! Saying he's not good enough that's why he's in WEC. How about faber does he suck? Carlos has awesome stand-up skills and he's very long and has much better kicks n elbows. Gsp also have great stand-up skills. In my opinion carlos is much better skilled on the ground to submit someone then gsp. he's beaten larson on the ground not by luck either, and he was a huge powerful whelterweight. carlo prater a submition specialist. To bring another champ to fight non-champs is ludacris. Just because they're in wec and not ufc doesn't make them a less caliber fighter. come on chriss leban and the other dumb asses in there. I look at it this way WEC is like college ball- more heart and determination! ufc- all show and fame and looks. I think carlos would be the perfect person to transfer for a champion versus champion fight. I have my money on carlos because he is more skilled then most people think. I have something up my sleeve that everyone commenting doesn't. A BRAIN! so look at ability and skill both standing and ground. don't just be a tv fan and jump on with everyone on the ufc and gsp bus. see ya!

I think I'd have to agree that there should be not unification. While I do feel the lower weight classes in the WEC house the best fighters in the world (Urijah Faber, Pulver, etc) the upper classes are clearly meant to be second tier to the UFC and act as a training ground. I don't see any way the Rhino could ever be in a position to challenge Rampage, Liddell, or even Ortiz. Brian Stann showcases what the WEC is all about with their upper weight classes. He is an amazing strong fighter with great toughness. But he openly admits the MASSIVE holes in his overall games. A fighter like rampage would destroy Brian Stann right now. However, as the WEC Champ Brian Stann will have the chance to train with the best and develop his raw potential into potential greatness. Whereas he would have had to fight unknowns in rings set up at baseball fields and county fairgrounds, he now gets the chance to be seen by millions of fighters as he improves and becomes a truly great fighter. Then, after I'd say 13-15 fights, all wins, he could claim that he is the number one contender in all the world for the most coveted Light-Weight title and I don't see any way ZUFA could deny him a shot at Rampage then. To me that is what the WEC is all about.
Condit wouldn't even be a contender in the UFC. No chance in hell. There's a reason he's in the WEC....its because he's not good enough to even be a threat in the UFC. Say what you want, but the reason he looks so good is because he is fighting turds. He wouldn't look so good if he was actually fighting someone.
Agreed the competition is not the caliber of the UFC, But come on man!!. Carlos Condit can fight. I think if he fights in the WW division of the UFC, After 1 fight he'd be top 5. As you can tell I like Carlos style of no dicking around.. The dude fights hard right out of the gates...NBK!!!

i think i read somewhere that Zuffa might move Lytle over to WEC to face Condit next, or maybe after he faces the Larson/Alessio winner. should be interesting, shad. most fighters try to bring Condit down because they don't want to strike with him, but then again Condit hasn't boxed with any particularly good strikers that i've seen. guess we'll find out if Charuto was a fluke or not.

Condit is a guy who wins his fights without having to do much fighting. This guy has such awesome grappling and submission skills it's unreal. I agree that he probably wouldnt beat St Pierre but he definitly would tear up Serra and Koscheck, and even Hughes in my opinion. I dont think they should unify the titles, but I definitly think he needs to be moved up to the UFC. I dont see anyone in the WEC beating this guy. What they should do is have a UFC in which he fights Sanchez in some sort of battle for albequerque match or something. I think a fight between him and Sanchez would be a great match-up. I hope to see him in the UFC soon.
Wow, I think you think WAY to highly of Condit.

I don't see him beating ANY of the guys you jsut named.
Thats your opinion, but what I can see is that you cant spell just.
I think a good 1st match for Condit would be: Condit vs. Akahiro Gono

I may be wrong but wouldn't this unification be like a major league champion playing the minor-league champion for some sort of wierd unified championship?

If Condit wants to go to the UFC he will have to do it at 155. His weight was 167 for his last fight. That is verry small for WW in the UFC. Guys Like Fitch, GSP, and Kos. are cutting lots of weight just to get to 170.
