The Nevada State Athletic Commission recently informed MMAmania.com that all 12 of the fighters randomly tested for drugs on the UFC 81: “Breaking Point” fight card on February 2 from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, came back negative.
Here’s the list:
- Timothy Sylvia
- Antonio Nogueira
- Brock Lesnar
- Frank Mir
- Nathan Marquardt
- Jeremy Horn
- Rob Emerson
- Tim Boetsch
- Tyson Griffin
- Marvin Eastman
- Ricardo Almeida
- Chris Lytle
Fighters are tested for banned substances such as performance-enhancing anabolic steroids, as well as recreational drugs like marijuana and cocaine.
There’s no tried and true reason behind the selection process — six fighters were not required to submit samples for testing. However, it’s customary that state athletic commissions screen the marquee fighters at the very least.

And how many people were saying that Brock would test positive for steroids?
The results came back just as I suspected.
He would not be dumb enough to do steroids while competing in MMA. In pro wrestling, doing steroids comes with the job, and the Vince the boss gets them for them. At least he did back in the day (I remember that trial where Hulk Hogan testified)…
Least Brock got it out of his system in time.
Hooray for negative drug tests.

Im not saying that Brock was on steroids - but atleast one person that passed the test was cycling before the fight. Many of these drugs are so scientific now that you can cycle up to 1-2 weeks before and still pass a pee test.
Again, Im not saying Brock was juicing, but its not that hard to get around.
Timothy ….lol
i was gonna say “well at least now the ‘brock is on steroids people’ will shut up now” but i guess you can never underestimate the ignorance of the internet or the haters. they will make up any excuse to hold onto what they want to believe.
I’d like to think that all the fighters are clean. I hate when people get caught using steriods. They should definately stay strick on the punishment for being caught.
Brock wasn’t on, you can tell. I’ve been in this game long enough to know what a guy’s body looks like when he’s on and when he’s off. Brock is just a big boy.
I would have guessed they would just do main card fighters.

Hi
I’m writing to ask that the UFC Fight Night on April 2nd be given three hours of time instead of two. The card is one of the best UFC cards ever put on Spike, and it deserves a longer timeslot. The entire fight community is looking forward to seeing this event, and I am sure you’ll have a significantly higher number of viewers if you decide to show more of the card.
Thank you for your time

RIGHT? Unbelievable. His test is clean, and people still say he was using steroids, LOL.
And then we got Sean Sherk where his test shows that he was on steroids and yet some people still believe him that he never took steroids.
Biases will always exist…

Instead of “This card is one of the best UFC cards ever put on Spike”, I would recommend saying that “This is by far the best MMA card to ever appear on free television - even better than most PPV’s.”
Brock Lesnar has been as thick as a tree since he was a teen. He got huge in the WWE, and I would say he took steroids while he was with them. But I think he’s off them now.
RIGHT! Brock Lesnar isn’t on Steroids?
The test can be beat.
why would they waste money testing jeremy horn, its obvious he stays away from the weightroom!

To say that all wrestlers use steroids is the same as saying that all nascar fans are rednecks and all MMA fans are bloodthirsty savages and wife beaters. not all wrestlers are on steroids. pain killers are used more in wrestling than steroids are and to say that brock was on steroids while in the WWE is a pretty bold assumption bordering on lawsuit grade slander. If brock got bigger while in the WWE, then that would be a maybe. but brock was bigger while wrestling in teh NCAA than he waqs in the WWE, he actually lost muscle while working for vince.

thats a great post.. just great hahaha
I hate people who take steroids. Baseball players, track runners and cheating fighters(sherk). All fighters shoudl be tested after all events. The UFC shoudl do this if the NSAC does not. They need to be sure to keep teh sport as clean as possible. On another note, I can’t wait to see Brock fight again. He’s gonna have something to prove and destroy whomever Dana throws at him.
Brock was tested throughout his 4-year college wrestling career, during his brief stint with the Minnesota Vikings and now with UFC. WWE also has a health and wellness program that includes drug testing, although its effectiveness seems dubious to me. Still, numerous wrestlers have been suspended for steroid use. Even with all these tests that Brock has taken through all these years, he has NEVER tested positive, so everyone who assumes that just because he is huge and freakishly strong he must be on roids needs to get over it.
they should test sherk every ufc, regardless if he fights or not. that would amuse me

Plus his nickname is Gumby, lol

Gumby is an amazingly talented fighter, he doesn’t need the bulky muscles.
Props to all the fighters for testing clean during an important UFC event!
Could u imagine what Brock would have looked like on Roids? He already looked like a monster without them at UFC 81, if he were on them he would have to be the scariest looking thing ever to set foot in the octagon!
Timothy ….lol
My thoughts exactly.

Dude he already is the scariest thing to ever set foot in the octagon!!! Steroids or no steroids, it’s safe to say that the man is a genetic freak. Probably a mutation on the myostatin gene or some such freaky thing.
they should test everyone. i know someone who fights at the casino in conn. who is on benzos, and methadone. if something happens because they refuse to spend money on testing thing they will be liable also the casino. its fucking sad that they don’t test so people can fight with hepatitis, and aids? wtf i will put a stop to this bullshit. test everyone wtf for everything. or else get your asses sued and shut down for stupidy.
legalize marijuana!! free nick diaz!
is anyone willing to respond to what i said. how can someone fight on methadone and benzos?
wow has anyone here ever done anabolics? if you had.. you’d realize that you shrink down a heck of alot more than Brock is now compared to WWE days… the difference in size can be attributed to different workout routine… anyone that thinks Brock Lesnar did steroids has NOT done there research and is just judging.. for real give it up
