hdnet strikeforce ifl
Mark Cuban’s HDNet Fights has been wheeling an dealing this entire month, securing partnerships to air high-profile mixed martial arts events on its growing network.

The latest news is a deal with the San Jose-based Strikeforce promotion under which the network will televise four events, beginning with “Strikeforce at the Dome” on February 23 from Tacoma, Wash. The main event of the nine-fight card features a superheavyweight clash between Bob “The Beast” Sapp and Jan “The Giant” Nortje.

Strikeforce also has the Frank Shamrock-Cung Le fight lined up in March. However, that event will more than likely air on Showtime because it is a joint effort with EliteXC.

In other news, HDNet Fights will also air the debut fight of Kim Couture — wife of Randy “The Natural” Couture. The boxing/muay thai “smoker event” will take place at the Xtreme Couture Gym in Las Vegas, Nevada, on February 29.

The Kim Couture bout will air immediately after the live IFL event from the Orleans Arena, which is also slated to go down in “Sin City.” In fact, HDNet Fights will also broadcast the first three IFL events of 2008 under a new agreement.

There’s lots to watch for those fortunate enough to get the HDNet Fights network. Check local television line ups for more details.

Andrew Simon, CEO of HDNet Fights, announced today that HDNet will feature exclusive coverage of Kim Couture’s debut fight. Kim is the wife of MMA legend Randy “The Natural” Couture. Her debut will occur in a Boxing/Muay Thai Smoker, a mixed martial arts event, to be held at the Xtreme Couture Gym in Las Vegas, NV.

It’s being framed as an MMA event. But I understand the distinction and clarified to just ‘fight.’

Are you even sure it’s Kim Couture? I keep getting her and Yoko Ono confused. Can someone explain the difference please (beside the nationalities, of course)?

Gold diggers walk into the ring to fight mma style bouts? I learn so much from this blog. Wait, are you may used to male gold diggers maybe that explains that lol. Either way I could hardly consider Kim a gold digger for fighting and certainly if she were she would find a bigger gold source. From what I could tell she makes randy happy but apparently others jealous.

Oh and I meant to add I find Kim fighting in a mma style bout is as cute as when I come home and find my wife trying on my shirts. Anyone that thinks otherwise probably has more issues then they do ;) hehe. I hope Kim wins I think it’s pretty cute she aspires that personally.

All anyone is talking about in this thread is about Kim, Randy, and Dana. Look a little bit deeper in to the article. You know, the parts that don’t include those names and you may realize something.

Mark Cuban is lining up to be a major force in MMA. He has the money, the connections in the business world, and the passion that seems to make everything he touches turn to gold. The man is a great business man and Dana might wanna take notice of this as well.

Just noticed that the Strikeforce logo is the exact same logo as the white power band from the 80’s Skrewdriver.

Who happened to have a song called Strikeforce.

Interesting.
