It seems that the heavies are more interested in show business than fighting. Couture and Fedor are quite the prima donnas now. The two should join forces if they really want to buck the UFC’s dominance. The UFC is weakest in the heavyweight division, so what young heavyweight would welcome the opportunity to train with Couture and Fedor. It seems that egos are getting in the way of making history here, and than includes Dana White.

To all the Fedor haters I have a simple request: Shut up please.
yes its true that he has fought with cans in his carreer but everyone has fought with cans in a point of his carreer for example Big nog he fought Enson Inue, Valetijn Overeem and Bob Sapp, and another example is Randy Couture who lost to Enson Inue and Valentijn Overeem (both times in the first round).
And Fedor is active again and he will fight with a top ranked heavyweight who is Tim Silvya in july, and according to his manager he will fight in october against the winner of the fight betwen Rizzo and Barnett or the winner of the fight betwen Arlovski and Rothwel, and in new year´s eve in a superfight.

I’m not the biggest UFC/Zuffa (Pride “was” #1), A-Friggin_men to that!!! I am so pissed that UFC “bought” Pride, destroyed a gargantuan Japanese entertainment entity to cherry-pick their best fighters, throw away the better rules, piss off a whole nation, f-up getting Fedor, kowtow to sponsors (this knock out brought to you by Burger King@???!!!!!) and not make a deal to have the best color commentary team ever (Bas Rutten and Joe Rogen—MMA Gold). There are so many dropped balls I feel like I’m watching the GD Mets instead of one of the best MMA outlets ever. Watch out Dana, Mark Cuban is knocking down your door, babe.

yea i agree it’s crazy to dis fedor’s competition, but at the same time i’m not down on sylvia either. he’s not well rounded but he’s big, good at what he does striking and takedown defense. Nog was better. Herring is awesome I agree. He clearly beat Kongo. the split decision was ridiculous. if the fight contniued Kongo would have been barfing blood - although he’s a tough guy and took a shit oad of knees and stilll looked OK - but was outgunned outclassed by herring , the more welll rounded.

fedor is not fighting cans. lindland gave rampage one of the best fights - a draw or even a ddecision for lindland would ahve not been surprising. choi is not a joke either. neither is hunt. watch some of their fights.

In a way if fedor loses it could be to a freak like choi, hunt, sylvia - if they land that big one and finish.

anyway i think that fedor should fight barnett - more deserving of a shot than couture as he has a better record against better fighters iMO and also s he annhilated couture. Are they friends does fedor not wanna fight him. I’ve always though he has the best shot , along with werdum and now gonzaga who could be a tough match up for fedor., big hits/kicks hard….

The american baseball is not ‘the world series’ nor is UFC the ‘world championship’ and god bless america - but it’s just a nation - not the centre of the planet

and people please dont talk about arlovski hes worse than silvia when i comes to fighting cans… he will never in his life ever ever ever hold a UFC belt he probably wont even ever fight for a belt in the UFC..the ufc HW division was so weak at his time he fought silvia three times in a row. what the f ck is that

or lets look at tim silvias competition ohhh wow thats a f cking joke… i guess i forgot those fights with mark hunt or the three with the HW champ nogeura or the first fight with coleman before he hit 40 or when he f ucked up heath herrings so bad the doctor had to stop it…. i forget who did heath herring just beat again… i guess it was just a nobody since heath herring doesnt even get considered as competetion b/c accordimg to JOSH cro cop and noguera are his only competition

Kongo is awesome but Fedor is an impossible match up for kNogo….

fedor’ hands are way heavier, he’d neutralize the reach and knees of kongo, take it to the ground pummel, break or dislocate Kongo 1000 ways. Again Kongo is awesome just an easy match up for fedor.

Gonzaga (also big) would have a better chance, or Werdum, Sylvia a punchers chance but very small. Couture has a good chance style wise.

Barnett has the best chance.
Couture , yes I agree, as a heavier Lindland-esque sort of clinching tough bastard guy has a chance.

Hunt again too… in a kind KO punch way - but might finish better than Fujita did(n’t).
