Sorry to get off topic, but I asked this question at the end of the day yesterday and many people missed it. I hate to re-ask it again but I am very curious to hear your opinions.

How would a fight between Tim Sylvia vs. Hong Man Choi turn out? Just curious to here some input on this!
The two-time UFC champ vs. a guy who slipped away from Barnum & Bailey? That guy wouldn't last a round with Sylvia, and I'm hardly Tim's biggest fan.
Interesting, the few people who responded to this question yesterday, all had Hong Man Choi wining. I cant wait to hear what the rest of you have to say about it.
i say that if charles macarthy is tupperware, than choi is surran wrap! if your trying to justify fedors fight w/ choi with this "fantasy fight" it wont work. big poopy by tko in the 1rst. btw have i ever mentioned that i cant stand tim sylvia.
No the last thing I am trying to justify Fedor's fight with Choi. I am just curious. Choi is supposed to be a K-1 level striker and beside's Gan McGee who is no K-1 striker, I havent seen Tim stand n Trade against a striker that he doesnt enjoy a height and reach advantage over. If I had to pick a winner, I too would go with Sylvia, but I have to admit I havent seen enough of Choi to really offer an educated oppinion. Just being curious.

I didn't see it yesterday or know who posted any responses, but if I had to guess I would say it was people who have an unconditional dislike of Big Tim, rather than people looking objectively at his skills.
You are probably right. I just dont know enough about Hong Man Choi's skills to objectively offer any input.

so many injuries! the boys need to train a bit looser and not kill themselves before going out there. GO HUERTA!!
Speaking of Huerta, he said he wanted to take a 6 month break after his december fight with Guida. that would make a time table for his return at the earleist, UFC 85: in London or maybe the Finale of TUF 7 on I believe, June 21...dont hold me to that date.

I cant wait to see who he faces next. Any ideas? I would like to see Huerta vs. Danzig, but Danzig needs some quality wins before fighting a tough dude like Huerta.

At some point in the near future I would like to see Danzig vs. Nate diaz....that would make for a great main event for the Finale of TUF 7 in June. Who do u think takes that fight?
bc so many fighters are dropping down to lightweight, that division is getting sick. I am an avid Huerta fan and I know he will come back strong and sock it to whomever Joe and Dana put in his path.

Hell, give Tim Boetsch another call. He likes to beat people up on short notice.
That's a really good idea actually...it would really put Boetsch on the map if he were to be another replacement and then take out Hamil. I thought he looked really good against Heath. Those straight leg kicks were very effective and you don't see too many fighters using them anymore. It's effective tactic to keep a fighter at a distance and to score a shot. That would be effective against Hamil who is a guy that is constantly coming forward. I'm really looking forward to seeing Boetsch fight again in the UFC.

It's too bad Bonnar is hurt though...this was going to be a very interesting matchup and I hope we get to see it later on this year. Luckily this card is so stacked that they can easily put another big fight onto the televised portion of the card...I vote for Aurelio/Spencer or Alexander/Irvin...I'd even be interested in seeing the return of Neer to the UFC at LW against Din Thomas. Neer has some nasty elbows.
Buster: I agree with everything u wrote. Except that I believe Houston Alexander vs. Irving is already scheduled to be televised.

If they bump Hamil off the card they will either replace it with:

Fisher vs. aurelio or Neer vs/ Din Thomas.

I owuld prefer to watch the Thomas/Neer fight.

However maybe they can find a suitable replacement to fight Hamil in time for this event. Boetsh would be an excellent idea. or they can go another route: Soko doesnt have anyone to fight in the future. The UFC might want to build him up against a lesser opponent...Hamil would be perfect. After all Sokoudjou is only 23 years old, he has a ton of potential to one day be special, maybe they should let him fight some B-level fighters and get him some wins. I would not object to Sokoudjou vs. Hamil....However I will admit that scenario is unlikely. Give us Boetsh vs. Hamil!
Boetsh vs Hamill would be interesting. Boetsh is a wrestler but looked to be a very experienced striker against Heath. I'd have to give the stand up edge to Boetsh. We haven't seen his wrestling ability (besides the throw onto Heaths head, lol) but I'm sure Hamill has the best wrestling in the division. Anything could happen in this match. Hopefully the UFC will make it happen.
