Alright stupid question maybe, but will soembody PLEASE explain how the betting works.

Example: lets say I bet $40 on Jardine who's odds are at 190. Can somebody please elaborate on the winning and loosing scenario?

Alright stupid question maybe, but will soembody PLEASE explain how the betting works.

Example: lets say I bet $40 on Jardine who's odds are at 190. Can somebody please elaborate on the winning and loosing scenario?
The Anomaly: Let me break the betting down for you.
For example lets say Jardine is fighting wanderlei and the odds are:

Jardine plus 150
Wanderlei minus 200

This means that Jardine is the underdog and wanderlei is the favorite.

Say u bet $100 on Jardine (the underdog) and u win, you would collect $150. As an underdog, if Jardine looses you only loose what u bet.

Say you bet $100 on Wanderlei (the favorite). If he wins, you only win what u bet..$100. But If he looses you would loose $200

So if you bet $50 on Jardine and he wins, u collect $75, if he looses you only loose what u were betting ($50)

If you bet $50 on wanderlei (the favorite) and he wins...u only collect the $50, but if he looses you would loose $100

Get it?
Pretty much. Thanks

Silva can end the fight at any point in the fight. I think that Silva's cardio hasn't been tested. Henderson is the perfect guy to take him into a deep fight. I gotta go with Henderson by decision. Silva can finish Hendo, but I don't see Hendo finishing Silva. Should be an amazing fight.
Anderson has gonde to like 5 decisions in the past and never gassed. Hendo gasses all the time. You know... Like he did against Rampage?

People give Hendo credit for attributes he has never had. He's never had good GnP. He's never had good cardio. He's basically a better version of Chris Leben. A better brawler, a much better wrestler, equal or more punching power, and equal BJJ. I don't see why people think he will win this fight. IMO, guys like Hughes and GSP are a much bigger threat.
LOL. A better version of Leben... LOL How do you possibly know that Anderson Silva did not gas in any of his decisions??? Did you watch his fight in Shooto in 2001 when he fought Tetsuji Kato? I highly doubt so. If you did, please send me the link.

ALSO, if you take a closer look, you will see that Anderson Silva has NEVER been involved in more than a 5 round fight. Henderson has, and he has with fighters that are much heavier than him, which would in turn cause him to tire quicker. Hendo's cardio will NOT be a factor in this fight.
Silva easy...he's the best fighter in the world (P4P) and Henderson is a B fighter with no more "Japanese cans" to kick and inflate his record.
I guess that it is VERY safe to assume that you have never seen a PRIDE event in your life.
VM: Don't underestimate the game planning ability of Silva's camp. They came up with the perfect way of finishing Sylvia during the fight preparation and then all Nog had to do was execute it to perfection.
Definitely not underestimating thier game planning abilities, but in all honesty, Nog has been using the same strategy when fighting big strikers = Stand and take a beating for 10 minutes and then pull guard and submit. I mean, any single person that posts on this site would have given that same exact game plan to Nog. They didn't create some new and revolutionary game plan...
I have no prediction, but I will be rooting for Anderson Silva. He has been the best champion an organization could have. No fights make it to the 3rd round. He fights more often then most champions and since he has entered the UFC he has used title matches to create one of the nastiest Highlite reals in MMA history. Love Hendo but will be roooting for Silva. He is the best UFC champion, y fix it if it ain't broken?
YOU ARE ROOTING FOR ANDERSON??? The invitation to stop by the house has been taken off of the table. LOL J/K.
If Anderson Silva were to beat Hendo, the MW division will be in a state of dissarary. They are at least 4 events away from even having a #1 contender fight to see who is worhty of fighting Anderson next. Silva has been defending his belt rather often, but with a win over Hendo, I don't see him defending his belt again for quite some time. Actually, I only see Silva having one more fight in 2008 if he were to win against Hendo.

Dan Henderson by KO...Hendo has NEVER been knocked out...NEVER...there is no way Silva will be able to do it either...granted Silva is a beast but this is Hendo's true weight class and I think that he will be more then Silva has faced in the octagon to date. If Hendo doesn't KO him...then Hendo by decision. I mean for hells sake...Travis Lutter almost had Silva done for..he would have won if he hadn't been so exhausted from cutting that weight. And Dan Henderson makes Travis Lutter look like Elvis Sinosic!

Anderson Silva by Ko. i expect this fight to go just like anderson silva vs jeremy horn, except anderson silva is a hell of alot better now than he was then. Everybody who has seen henderson fight knows that he has a heavy right hand and good wrestling. this is pretty easy to make a stratagy against if you have as many weapons as anderson silva. plus henderson doesnt just destroy people on the ground with extrodinary ground and pound. so i expect that henderson will have to deal with being stood up and with an angry anderson silva on his feet i can henderson taking alot of damage in the later rounds from anderson silva. Silva just has too many weapons in comparison to henderson. I also feel that dan henderson would have never beat wanderlei silva if silva wasnt sick. I feel like he is just too one deminsional
I fully expect Dan Henderson and Team Quest to formulate the perfect gameplan for Hendo to defeat Anderson Silva. They had Chael Sonnen dominating Paulo Filho until he inexplicably goes for a take down when he was owning the stand up. Hendo usually loves the clinch, but going up against Anderson, he has to make sure that he has Anderson pressed up against the cage whenever he clinches. Otherwise, due to Anderson's height advantage, he'd be able to unleash his Muai Thai knees. Also, Hendo doesn't always have the most head movement when standing. He does not want to leave his head in one place too long going against the most accurate striker. Even though Hendo's chin has been hit with everything including the kitchen sink (he used to be a plumber, a kitchen sink fell out of a high-rise apartment window hitting him square in the chin, and he only lost his balance for half a second. Yeah, I made that up...), you cannot stand in front of Anderson Silva. He will pick you apart and KO you, not with one punch, but with a barrage of punches/elbows from many diffent angles all landing exactly where he wants them to - the button.
I cant disagree with anything u said, but I cant make a prediction either. This is what a championship fight should be
The best quality of fighters meeting up in a match that know one can make there mind up on. Hendo has taken big smashing blows to the chin that have landed with much force and hasn't bee KO'ed. Silva is more of a lightning quick precision striker. He will land multiple strikes exactly on the "button". If that doesnt KO Hendo, then its OFFICIal: There is no button on Hendo's jaw!.

VM: Don't underestimate the game planning ability of Silva's camp. They came up with the perfect way of finishing Sylvia during the fight preparation and then all Nog had to do was execute it to perfection.

This will go down as the best fight ever. Hendo might get caught. He tends to start brawling after he gets hit, and if he starts swinging like a mad pan, he will get picked apart...make no mistake about it. You brought up a great point about his lack of head movement and fixing that should be 1 of his top priorities going into this fight.

I have no prediction, but I will be rooting for Anderson Silva. He has been the best champion an organization could have. No fights make it to the 3rd round.
I see Hendo catching Silva with a crazy punch and knocking him out in similar fashion to Wanderlei.

I also hope for everyone's sake that Hendo does win, because if he doesnt Anderson Silva only has to do two more things:

- Fight Nate Marquardt again
I see Hendo catching Silva with a crazy punch and knocking him out in similar fashion to Wanderlei.

I also hope for everyone’s sake that Hendo does win, because if he doesnt Anderson Silva only has to do two more things:

- Fight Nate Marquardt again
- Retire

This is such a tough fight to call, one day I will be thinking Henderson is gonna take it, in the same way Couture would match up good with Crocop, that Dan will take it to the ground, and all in all Anderson will have nothing to offer him.

Then i'll be thinking, Dan hasnt pounded out a whole lot of oopponents on the ground, and all in all the people who ive seen take Anderson down, Franklin, Lutter, Nate, I don't remeber them landing a single blow.

This is definently the most anticipated, possibly best fight in UFC history in my opinion, I was creamin my pance the minute I heard about it months ago.
True Henderson can take anyone down, but u have to remember that Silva is a black belt in BJJ. People just overlook that because Silva is the best striker in the middle-wieght division, maybe the world! i like Henderson but i don't think he has the advantage anywhere in the fight, except take-downs. Silva wins 3rd round by submission (triangle or rear-naked choke).
No way buddy. Silva being a BJJ black belt was not overlooked by me by any means. The best Silva will do on the ground agaisnt Hendo is not be controlled, and try to get up.
Remember Dan has faced the likes of Renzo, BIG Nog at HW. Not all Black belts are the same, Silva's is good, but not at NOg or Renzo's level.

I don't see Hendo being submited by Anderson in a million years.
Hendo was submitted by both the nogueira brothers and btw Silva trains with them both. And renzo never got the fight into his area. And silva is a lot higher level than dan with his bjj
That doesnt mean hes gonna summit him . IN fact henderson beat big nog in their first fight and you probably didnt even know that .
