WCF Dana White

Props: WCFighting.com

Quoteworthy:

“In attendance will be our very special guest and President of the UFC Dana White!… Fans with tickets for the night’s action will have access to a special autograph session including the following UFC and Pride Fighting Veterans: Marcus ‘The Irish Hand Grenade’ Davis; Kenny ‘KenFlo’ Florian; Jorge ‘El Conquistador’ Rivera; Alex ‘The Assassin’ Karalexis; Sean ‘The Gladiator’ Gannon; Tamdan ‘The Barn Cat’ McCrory and Murilo ‘Ninja’ Rua.”

Rather ridiculous line up of guests for the local show — might want to head over there if you’re anywhere near the Boston area. The autograph session runs from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. ET tomorrow in the Shriners Auditorium. Anyone on the scene tomorrow who wants to help us out with a report of the action let us know here.

Dana..playing another strategic move.. Now smaller organizations would envy the UFC more and he gains more fans.

No one needs to even tune in to this interview…here is what will be said..

Dana: I Love Chuck! He is the best person alive. I really wish Chuck was still the champ. Which states are men allowed to marry in? I really want to spend the rest of my life with my girlfriend Chucky!

To me its pretty simple why Dana is going. This is obviously a Boston show and he is from Boston (well actually Las Vegas but spent most of his adult life in Boston) and to the best of my knowlage every single one of the guests that they have on there are all from Boston as well. Still its pretty insane for a small show that they got that many recognizable names to come out.

Dana will be able to check out a lot of tough up and coming fighters at this show.Massachusetts has a steady supply of MMA talent and that’s why Dana and the rest of the Crew will be in the house!

Now Dana will sue himself, and the rest of his fighters for promoting a competing event. Then, he’ll ban all of their sponsors from the UFC, and make sure the cameras avoid them, but we’ll still be able to hear their voices while anyway.

Pulling Guard, and other tactics Shogun can use to beat Liddell
It’s no secret that to beat Liddell you have to have power and a chin….You can’t take the guy down and if you do you certainly can’t keep him down…It’s a tough road for Shogun, but here are some tactics that could prove to be effective in fighting Liddell.

What if Shogun pulled guard like Big Nog did to Timmy when he could not take Timmy down he pulled him into his guard and looked to submit from his back or sweep.

Shogun could use this approach…Also Shogun’s takedown’s are less shoots and more trips…This could be more effective than what the wrestlers did trying to take Chuck down….

Finally, leg kicks…The most underused weapon in MMA….Inside, outside…body….Jardine does it well, and I believe Shogun does it even better…That is truly the key to beating Liddell…Consistently using this weapon to set up everything.

Y did Tito Ortiz say on Howard Stern that he was worth 50 million? Could that be possible?

Also….I hear that the UFC videogame will come out Memeriol day weekend and that it will be announced and is set to coincide with UFC 84

If tito is worth 50 million, he should probably stop holding out for a few extra bucks…..but luckily he is no factor in the division anyway.

LOL, its an inside joke for any Jimmy Kimmell Live viewers out there… Sarah Silverman’s big surprise for him on his 5th Annerversary/40th Birthday show. It was hillarious, especially considering everything that was said before hand. To see just the video, click:

Did you guys not read the whole list of guest fighters?
Sean “The Gladiator’ Gannon
You know the guy who beat Ghetto Master Kimbo Slicer?
Recently Dana basically said that Gannon is a bum
in MMA so Kimbo is a bum as well.
I’d love for someone to call out Gannon for Kimbo at this
and video tape it and get that fight in MMA soon.

I think he’s made a lot of money outside the UFC. I think his point is he can make more money elsewhere doing something less physically demanding.

I’m surprised he doesn’t do this more often. More interest in small shows = more interest in MMA = more interest in UFC. By promoting the sport as a whole, he’s continuing to grow an audience that will eventually put money in his pocket and without boosting an organization that could actually rival the UFC and WEC. Plus, Zuffa’s leagues need these small organizations to feed them talent, which they can’t do if 150 people show up to watch these fight cards.

What fights did Chuck not deserve?  However, you are right about Dana deserving props because he has made some great moves for the organization.
