Oh yeah, it’s gonna be on later today.
That was hilarious… Matt cracks me up! He is very hot headed tho…
Loved the “prick” bit at the end… “Nah that’s ok bro, do your thing”
hahaha
Man I need that Channel! Can anyone tell me if that channel is offered on Dish Network cable provider? If so, what package do I have to order to get this channel and what number channel is it?
Please help! I m in desperate need of this channel!
Shogun’s advantage over Chuck
Shogun on the Wandy/Chuck fight: “I talked to him about that fight, and we have the same opinion: He trained a lot, but he didn’t have much sparring. I think this fact warmed him a lot”
Hopefully this means we will see Shogun in shape, and prepared to fight Chuck.
Being so close to Wandy, and talking (possibly training) with him so close after his fight with Chuck is a HUGE advantage for Shogun.
Message to his fans: “I want to say to my fans to be calm, keep believing and supporting me. I live for the fight. I’m 100 percent focused on fighting. I wouldn’t leave Chute Boxe without having a structure like I have. So I want my fans to keep supporting me, sending me good thoughts. Because for sure my greatest motivation to fight is my fans, to pay them back all the affection they give me.”
This fight should bring out the old Shogun, and make alll of us very, very happy again.
Thoughts?
Alan Belcher confirms his UFC 83 Bout against Patrick Cote!
Not a bad fight at all. This should be a hell of a scarp. Belcher vs. Kalib Starnes was awesome and Cote is a level ahead of starns so it should be really exciting. Cote is HOT striker right now and I always enjoy Belcher’s Muy Tai, can you say FIREWORKS!!!!!
damn that interviewer was such a prick
i’m not a matt serra fan but interupting someone like that is ver disrespectful..im glad matt serra called him a prick lol
war gsp!
John: it’s a purely Canadian channel that isn’t offered on Dish. Even though ownership is now with ESPN I believe.
Just watch the repeat on the website.

So the winner of this fight vs. the winner of Franklin/Lutter or Okami/Tanner. Who fights winner of Silva/Henderson?
What a typical Long Island douchebag Serra literally calls the host a prick and “thanks for cutting me off” “do your thing bro”
Makes me sick, I am by no means a GSP fan but I hope he puts Serra in to retirement … Well Hughes busting his ass would be nice also

Is it just me though or did serra talk to much. I probably would have cut him off too to leave an opening to the much more polite and less vocal gsp. But like gsp said, unlike serra he will do his talking in the ring. Maybe serra should do that too. I do like when the reporter asked serra about his totally bigoted french comments [somehow confusing a paris french stereo type with a french canadian one the ignoramous]. “Well serra is from new york. I like how he didn’t have to say anything else that pretty much covered it. What serra doesn’t even realize is that montreal has a huge huge huge italian and wrestling citizenship. [huge]. They actually would have backed him if he wasn’t such a douche.

The host totally deserved it. Canadians who know who that guy is have said that this guy is known to be a prick and interrupts his interviewees all the time.
I don’t know if it’s because I’m from NY, but I don’t find Serra obnoxious or prick-like at all. Is it his accent or his word-selection that annoys people? I don’t get it. He does say what’s on his mind but usually it’s warranted, def not outrageous comments coming from his mouth, and half the time he’s joking around. Prejudice against New Yorkers I say!
i like serra to,he calls it as he see’s it,michael landsberg who hosts the show is a total dickhead,im suprised he still has a show in canada.i like the US and newyorkers.

Or what? Lol funny thing is, it’s easier to pick on an mma fighter in public [or even not in public] then a normal person. Do you really think mma fighters go around punching people in the jaw often outside the ring? Get your heads out of the clouds. No mma fighter worth their salt and especialy not a ufc fighter can or would ever use their fists outside the ring like that unless they wish to lose their right to fight in the ring. Any ufc fighter not cool enough to keep their head doesn’t deserve to fight in a professional sport. If I were the reporter I would have gotten under serra’s skin and unsettled him a heck of a lot more then this guy did. That reporter had no reason to fear serra and like he said he had no reason to ask or require serra’s permission to do his job conducting his interview. Serra was furniture.

I dont get it either. I am not from New York and I find most things that Serra says to be accurate. He’s ok in my book, and I am a big fan!
I think Hughes is much more of a prick then Serra. That farm-hick grew up mutilating and torturing animals (he is lucky Danzig didnt find out) and treating his parents like crap. Now he is a self righteous fool, who’s super passive-agressive nature mixed with his cocky, alpha male persona…rubs me the wrong way. I cant stand him, and I loved seeing that dumbfounded chipmunk look on his face after GSP embaressed him.
good for serra for putting that canadaian in his place, ay.
I think the problem was Matt wouldnt shut up. He would answer a question that required one or two words with a couple thousand. If the guy was gonna be able to ask GSP anything he had to cut him off. It is a timed segment after all.

It matters because as you know anything can happen in MMA. Hendo/Silva still will need to defend their title. And they can’t keep fighting each other. Is the Champion sidelined for 8-10 months while the rest of the division is cleaned up?
That host is a tool bag, it is hard to really get Serra with a slam because he is pretty good at comebacks. As for Goerge he just did not want to be there.
that host is worthless. We was trying to be inflammatory and neither of the fighters were falling for it. I think he was looking for something sensational like the guys leaping up and grabbing each other by the neck in his studio. Pricky, indeed.
This interviewer is horrible. Everytime Serra started to answer the guy cut him off. I was waiting for him to say something about it.

Who ever emerges from the Hendo/Silva fight as the unified champion, will hold onto that title for as long as they want. Only middleweights in the world with a shot in hell at beating Silva and Henderson are not signed with the UFC.
Im putting my money on Matt Serra destroying GSP for the second time! One time Serra
The more I listen and see serra the more I respect him. He is a good ambassodor for the sport, The one thing I dont like is how he is always insulting hughes.
I can definitely see serra beating gsp again, and I think most people not in canada will be rooting for the underdog serra
I cant wait for this fight, I was depressed for months after their first fight. couldn’t eat, sleep or speak french. it was horrible. well, except for the french part
Im in a pickle…
I realy like GSP, I think he is well spoke and has alot of heart and is humble in defeat. On the other hand, I have been a fan of serra for a long time and would love for him to hold the title in a heavy division. Also, if Matt S looses, UFC will match up Hughes and Serra which would be a better grudge fight than Tito v. Dana W.
HELP!! LOL
haha serra is such a character

That’s BS. On the question Matt Serra was answering when he called the host out on interrupting, GSP talked for a good amount of time on his answer uninterrupted and then Serra said very little before the host started running his mouth.
Cote is fighting blecher at ufc 83!!!!! Should be an awsome stand up fight.

U r probably right!
Michael Landsberg is an a**hole! If you’re going to ask a guy a question at least let the man answer and don’t cut him off. Show some journalistic integrity and professionalism!
VM: U brought up War Machine. He is contemplating dropping down to fight at lightweight.
Right on Serra! ive watched this guy on TSN many times and have wanted somone to call him that for a long time!

wow, he seemed to be a pretty decent sized WW. He would be huge at LW. Anyone know approx. what weight he walks around at?

Thats a great question. I tought the same thing because he looked big for a welterweight. This is why i like War Machine:
He seems to psych himself out mentally before all his fights, but then he gets in the cage and he brings it….Future loks bright for that kid.
UFC video game will be released memorial day weekend. We are soon going to here about a big announcement for UFC 84….its no big deal, just the release of the video game.
Serra just doesn’t seem to get it. Somehow it’s okay for him to call GSP “Frenchy”. I wonder what would happen if someone called him “Wop” or “Dumb Dago”? I don’t think he’d like it too much, somehow. If that’s what he has to resort to in order to express himself I really don’t care what he thinks. He’s a little man with a big chip on his shoulder. He’s talked a ton about other people and has won one fight in the last year. A big fight, but one fight. When he beats GSP again or another Top 5 welterweight maybe he’ll be worth listening to. Until then, people are going to view the first fight with GSP as an anomaly, whether Serra likes it or not. Landsberg is a prick but so is Serra. The dwarf will get what he deserves in April. And he’ll fade back into obscurity to fight and split decision the Lytles and Shone Carters of the world.
It’s obvious Serra has a chip on his shoulder or whatever the saying. When the UFC announced that St.Pierre was taking his place at UFC 79 he was pissed off that the fight wasn’t postponed until his injury was dealt with. From my point of view, I don’t understand what his problem is, he has received more TV time as an immediate UFC champ than anyone. I guess it’s only fair to us fans that we would be forced to endure another long lay off in title defenses like the Sherk incident. Matt even commented on how Sherk was given some grace time but Sean had surgery right after beating Florian and has not yet been scheduled to fight anybody.
I seen a big difference in Matt Serra since the time he was TUF4 and when i seen him on TUF6 and even on OTR, he’s acting really negative and it’s seems like he thinks that everyone is out to get him.
Matt is the man. I like the guy more and more every time I see him. I don’t understand why people think he’s so obnoxious, he’s just got that New York edge too him that most people don’t get I guess.
Hey JORDAN can you blame the guy. What he did in winning the title was huge and nobody gave him any respect for It. Wouldn’t even let him enjoy this huge thing he just accomplished. All they did was “Bitch n Moan” that It was a fluke. Fluke my ass, the beat down he gave GSP was no fluke.
The TV show is “Off The Record” with Michael Landsberg on TSN. you can most likely see it on their website.
I gotta take GSP in this one. Anything can happen but, GSP has looked pretty damn good and pretty intense in his matches. He looks like he wants to win that belt back.
Serra’s talking out of his butt so much cause he knows that this is his last 15 mins of fame.
GSP will rip his head of
GSP all the way but please, remove the label from your nice suit. We know it’s nice, Serra looks like a reptile and needs to get curbed stomped. Better he not go out in Montreal afterwards, win or lose.
This Landsberg guy is a douche bag, I’m sure GSP will win but it would make my day if Serra put an ass whipin on that Van Damme sounding Canadian fruit cake. He dosn’t talk trash my ass.
hey what happened to joslin being on the canada card?
I’m a huge GSP fan, and seeing him loose to Serra was terrible and unexpected. I’m pretty damn scared for gsp right now. Really I doo like serra too and I feel that he has a mental advantage over gsp. That was the only time gsp has been soundly beaten. When he lost to hughes he was winning that fight and just froze and tapped out sooner than he should have, then he destryed hughes. When he lost to serra,it was on the feet where gsp was supposed to have his biggest advantage over serra. GSP can say whatever he wants to about why it happened but the bottom line is that it did happen and it could realistically happen again. If gsp can keep jumpiong these mentals hurdles and come into the fight really ready to fight and most of all not scared of serra I do think gsp will win. But again, I’m acared for him.

No, War Machine wouldn’t have hit him, he would have beat him home and upper-decked his toilet. And as far as Emerson goes, given his past, does it bother anyone else that his nickname is now “The Saint”?
Serra(USA) Vs St.Pierre (Canada)
I hope USA beats the living _____ out of Canada. See if that makes them proud.
That announcer was an asshole.
Throughout the entire interview, that guy was just trying to start shit. What a punk…
To those people who thought Serra was rude, did you not pay attention to the interviewer??? I’m not a Serra fan but, c’mon…
Landsberg is known for pulling shit like this, I was even more choked with the fact that they didnt keep gsp around. it’s the premiere canadian sports network, that is sad, I think its cause GSP has an accent. But ya Landsberg is a DICK!

You’re scared for GSP??
I hope everyone appreciates that this whole GSP/Serra fued stems from my Serra interview after GSP did the Canadian radio show…http://mmamania.com/2007/05/16/exclusive-serra-on-gsp-hit-the-road-frenchy/…haha love me dammit!
Shogun Shogun blah blah bhlah. almost all thread here you hav e a post soeting about shogun,& putting down other fighter or shogun’s possible next opponent, are you inlove at shogun or just a biased fan?
you know who you are. be fair bro,it doesnt mean you like shogun then he’s a superman, everybody is beatable
One word to describe that host….INSTEGATOR!!!
Serra was not in the wrong at all. That fool just kept tryin to make those two go at it, probably tryin to hype his own show, whatta faggot.
Serra is chill dude, him and GSP are cool guys, I just hope GSP wins, cuz I want Penn to be the one that beats him.
man, that interviewer was a prick!!!!
gotta let serra talk, man!!!
I actually thought Serra came off cool in that segment.
Serra is a funny guy and always good to listen to. That won’t help him against a masterful GSP but it’s hard to completely write off Serra, especially after the last fight and the guy has a lot of spirit.
GSP has to be the best in the division at the moment but anything can happen in the octagon. Both GSP and Serra will know that better than anyone. I have a feeling it will be a great fight!
hahaahaha, this is so funny. Serra was realling holding himself. I think.. im KNOW he was told not to say fuck :P. In a usual conversation he would have thrown in the f word about 5 to 10 time. cheers
I wouldn’t be scared for Rush. He will be fine.
dude did any of you keep watching the interview when Serra was there and the founder of fight network and some dude that made the UFC 5 finals, that guy SEan (the finalist from UFC 5) was an idiot the shit he was saying that everyone under Randy Couture was trash and not classy etc…, what a fuking idiot saying that boxing has true class and mma is trash dude watch it hes retarted.
GSP all the way to the bank does anyone know the odds for this fight
I’m a huge GSP fan, and seeing him loose to Serra was terrible and unexpected. I’m pretty damn scared for gsp right now. Gsp isn’t scared of Serra. He’s hell bent on destroying him. Gsp wasn’t confident in the first fight. Did you see him before the fight, he was super nervous? Everything that could have went wrong in his life did (some self caused ,some unavoidable). Those mistakes made him a much better fighter. The first fight GSP only trained for 2 weeks, this fight he’s only taken 2 weeks off, since the first fight. How many fighters train for a fight for one year straight? Gsp is serious about getting his belt back. This is what GSP has been saying, and he sounds pissed when he says it, “maybe this fight will be different, and people will know what I’m talking about”. Serra won’t be in his head because he knows Serra beat the worst version of him and now he’s better than ever. He’ll run through Serra just like he did Hughes.
