Before the Serra fight, GSP talked about it while UFC was doing that show on his training. I’m NOT bashing him and am not a GSP hater! It was simply a fact that GSP had talked about himself, on T.V. no less. Apparently, he’s bought his own place. Goody for him. My response with this info was for justagirl.

I actually like how in the past two fights, GSP hasn’t relied on striking as his main offensive tool. From here on out, he’ll probably use it to set up his wrestling. But just in case somebody gets careless and forgets that GSP can strike, they’re gonna be painfully reminded.

I really think GSP laid off on his striking in the last two fights to prove a point. A lot of people said Kos and Hughes would school him on the ground , so he wanted to prove he had the better wrestling.

Do me a favor and RE-READ my post. I did not say that I sit ouside GSP’s house monitoring his internet activity through his basement window. I simply said, and I quote, “I CAN PICTURE HIM sitting on the Internet…” When a sentence begins with “I can picture…”, 100% of the time, the person is speculating or making stuff up or dreaming of something. I can picture myself reaching through the computer screen and slapping you silly, but did I? No. But I “pictured it”. It is hard to comprehend how a fighter who barely beat Shonie Carter in tuf4 and lost the finale in most peoples opinion could stand with a guy like GSP. GSP has gone through every fighter in his division, most in dominant fashion. Serra can not boast the same or compete with that record. serra has had some close fights however he is not championship material by any stretch of the imagination. MMA fans want to see all around exciting fighters and Serra does not fit the bill. This is not meant to put Serra down because every MMA fighter has a chance. If Serra could manage another win i think things would change however that is highly unlikely. in hand to hand combat anything can happen that is true as i have been involved with this for 30 years. I believe Serra had one good fight in him as all fighters do, lets see what happens.

I hear where you’re coming from Gord, and enjoy reading your posts. But I must point out that GSP was on an even BIGGER roll before losing the first fight to Serra. Right now, he is riding a 2 fight win streak. A win against a washed up Matt Hughes and a win against a TUF alumni that only got the opportunity to fight GSP because he fought a half dead Diego Sanchez. Before the first fight with Serra, GSP was on top of the world, riding a 6 fight UFC win streak against the best of the divsion, Dave Strasser, Mayhem Miller, Frank Trigg, Sean Sherk, BJ Penn, and Matt Hughes. Much more impressive than Hughes and Kos.
