WHAT?!?!?!?! He just bought a house like 20 minutes away from my house! And before that he had an appartment not too far away from Montreal! Although he was never there and was mainly in Vegas. Seriously, I understand some people not liking GSP, but to put like he lives with his mom?!
Thanks for the info evangelion27, that just didn't seem correct (him living with his mom).[/quoteMaybe he JUST bought one. Before the Serra fight, GSP talked about it while UFC was doing that show on his training. I'm NOT bashing him and am not a GSP hater! It was simply a fact that GSP had talked about himself, on T.V. no less. Apparently, he's bought his own place. Goody for him. My response with this info was for justagirl.

When GSP lost to Serra in argueably the biggest upset in MMA history, he should have realized at least two things = 1)Shut up and 2) Focus 100% of his attention on the fight/opponent. He spends too much time listening to people telling him how great he is to build up his self esteem / confidence. I can picture him sitting on the internet every night reading about himself on blogs like this to build his ego. Then when he comes across a post like this he cries he's eye's out and needs to call his mommy for some soothing and to make him feel better about himself. Champions learn from thier mistakes. Lets see if GSP does. Remember - GSP is not even the champ right now, and he has NEVER successfully defended a belt in the UFC.
I'm just curious, "Violent Mike," how the F can you speculate on what GSP does in his free time, or how or why he would react to internet sites such as this? Do you have some inside scoop that the rest of us don't, or are you just some torpid sloth in his 30's who still lives at home with his parents and has nothing better to do than talk sh-t about a phenomenal athlete he's never met in his life? What's your real name, Violent Mike? Violet Pansy?
Ummm.....I'm not a GSP hater, but HE lives with his mom.
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL. Really? You just made my morning.
Yep. Saw it on one of the preview shows before a fight. I kinda thought it was funny.

I actually like how in the past two fights, GSP hasn't relied on striking as his main offensive tool. From here on out, he'll probably use it to set up his wrestling. But just in case somebody gets careless and forgets that GSP can strike, they're gonna be painfully reminded.
The fact that GSP is so fond of the ground now and apparently doesnt like stand up quite as much, makes this fight more intersting than ever to me. The stand up GSP is not so fond of, is going to be pitted agaisnt the only guy to ever knock him out.
ANd the ground work, which GSP has showed he loves lately, will be going for one of the first times against a real BJJ guy. I realize he has fought BJ Penn put Penn's desire,(and ability) to keep it standing meant we didnt get to see GSP pitted against some real world class BJJ. Bottom line is we really havnt ever seen him against world class BJJ yet, so if and WHEN GSP takes it to the ground, im gonna be very interested to see how he does.
I really think GSP laid off on his striking in the last two fights to prove a point. A lot of people said Kos and Hughes would school him on the ground , so he wanted to prove he had the better wrestling.

Do me a favor and RE-READ my post. I did not say that I sit ouside GSP's house monitoring his internet activity through his basement window. I simply said, and I quote, "I CAN PICTURE HIM sitting on the Internet..." When a sentence begins with "I can picture...", 100% of the time, the person is speculating or making stuff up or dreaming of something. I can picture myself reaching through the computer screen and slapping you silly, but did I? No. But I "pictured it". And by the way, I'm 27 and happily married to someone that I am 100% certain is more beautiful and has a much better personality than yourself.
Really? You're married? Ohhhh, dang it....so I don't have a chance. I'm crushed.....
WHAT?!?!?!?! He just bought a house like 20 minutes away from my house! And before that he had an appartment not too far away from Montreal! Although he was never there and was mainly in Vegas. Seriously, I understand some people not liking GSP, but to put like he lives with his mom?!
Thanks for the info evangelion27, that just didn't seem correct (him living with his mom).

It is hard to comprehend how a fighter who barely beat Shonie Carter in tuf4 and lost the finale in most peoples opinion could stand with a guy like GSP. GSP has gone through every fighter in his division, most in dominant fashion. Serra can not boast the same or compete with that record. serra has had some close fights however he is not championship material by any stretch of the imagination. MMA fans want to see all around exciting fighters and Serra does not fit the bill. This is not meant to put Serra down because every MMA fighter has a chance. If Serra could manage another win i think things would change however that is highly unlikely. in hand to hand combat anything can happen that is true as i have been involved with this for 30 years. I believe Serra had one good fight in him as all fighters do, lets see what happens.

Do you have some inside scoop that the rest of us don’t, or are you just some torpid sloth in his 30’s who still lives at home with his parents and has nothing better to do than talk sh-t about a phenomenal athlete he’s never met in his life? What’s your real name, Violent Mike? Violet Pansy?
Ummm…..I’m not a GSP hater, but HE lives with his mom.
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL. Really? You just made my morning.

yeh, like he was last time - whatever!
Yeah exactly. We all know GSP has head troubles. Serra is in his head. I think Serra can do it again. Serra's got KO power in his hands.
Come on now, you're about 10 months to late for comments like this. He had ONE bad fight and 99% of the time he is SOLID AS ROCK and you know it. The way he came back and destroyed Kos and Hughes, proves just how strong his head is. The mentally weak never come back from a beating like that. He came back STRONGER.
GSP admits to beating himself mentally before fighting Hughes for the first time "He was my idol"....

I'm gonna put it real simple for all you Nostradamus wannabes that say that GSP will win and destroy Serra. SERRA IS NOT AFRAID OF GSP, the way Rampage ain't scared of Liddell, the way Liddell ain't scared of Tito. OK!
Nope, not OK, Nostradamus pulled prediction out of his ass. If one looks at how GSP has been performing lately and takes into consideration, that the nervous wreck who walk into the octagon to face Serra ,was the exception ,NOT the rule and the chance of that same GSP showing up this time is next to NIL. The smart man would PREDICT (not guarantee) GSP to win. Objective analisis and pulling predictions out of your ass are to very different things. Serra would have to win TWO fights against GSP to be in the same situation as Rampage and Liddell. Good luck with that, lighting rarely strikes twice in the same spot.
I hear where you're coming from Gord, and enjoy reading your posts. But I must point out that GSP was on an even BIGGER roll before losing the first fight to Serra. Right now, he is riding a 2 fight win streak. A win against a washed up Matt Hughes and a win against a TUF alumni that only got the opportunity to fight GSP because he fought a half dead Diego Sanchez. Before the first fight with Serra, GSP was on top of the world, riding a 6 fight UFC win streak against the best of the divsion, Dave Strasser, Mayhem Miller, Frank Trigg, Sean Sherk, BJ Penn, and Matt Hughes. Much more impressive than Hughes and Kos.
