@ John…
kinda like how Fedor’s face looked after fighting Hong Man. It’s like glove burn or something!
MMMAAAAnnnn how the hell they only gonna pay tyson griffin 36 grand that sux that kid puts a great show on everytime he comes out thats some shit. Lessnar–Mir oooooo good fight lessnars a fuckin animal i dont think anything not made of concrete is gonna stop his big ass when hes shooting. It looked like he looped Mir before the shot to the back of they head. Why stand them up with no warning was it juswt cuz he was hitting so fast or hard, if anybody can clue me in id appreciate it. But taking nothing away from Mir i didnt know what he was hooking the foot but when he spun and went in for the foot lock that was badass big ups to him and his skills, hes a bad fucker. Lessnar give him some time to learn what to watch and hes gonna be unreal. But Im gonna call it here and now with a year Lessar–Fedor ooooo tell me im not the only one whod wanna see that. anyways like it or fuck thats what i think seeya
most of the shots were short little hammerfists that weren’t too bad but he did land some serious shots when he took his massive arms back farther. fuck his arms are long…

you really think that getting hit by someone like Hong Man isn’t gonna hurt? here is basic physics, Force = Mass x Acceleration, so even if the acceleration isn’t high, a lot of mass can make up for it. when you have an arm that probably weighs 80 pounds swinging at you, its gonna carry a lot of force.

LOL
Well I guess when you are getting hit with those 3XLs (Hong Man and Lesnar are the only one who wear them) are going to cause some damage lol Its like getting boot stomped by a guy like Shaq who wears size 19s lol
Props to Mir for not getting KTFO’ed from those nasty shots. I cant wait for both Lesnar and Mirs next fights. Heres hoping Mir either gets Sylvia or Kongo if he beats Herring.
I am curious about something. I wrote it in an earlier post and noone responded. In all sporting events The hometeam, Champion, titleholder, or ex-champ vs. a nobody always comes out second. Why did Frank Mir come out before Brock Lesnar. I thought that was a total insult for the UFC to do that to Frank Mir and make him come out second. I actually thought it was completely disrespectful. I am not sure which is a bigger slap in the face making the ex-champ comeout second to a guy who has only 1 MMA fight or making Anderson Silva and Matt Serra defend the title in the challengers hometown. Maybe it is just meand I believe in the old ways of sportmanship but that was full nonsense and the bar where I watched this take place agreed. Maybe it is petty!
i don’t think you will see aa in the ufc after his last fight
As the former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski’s contract with the UFC ends on April 15, without a contract extension, the promotion decided to bury one of the best known fighters in the sport on the under card of UFC 82.
It seems like a bad move by the UFC to not hang on to their branded celebrity fighters such as Randy Couture, Tito Ortiz, Andrei Arlovski and Nick Diaz, but instead pay outside fighters ridiculous about of money to fight in the UFC. (Cro Cop, Lesnar, Shogun, Chonan, Silva).
As a free agent, Arlovski will be able to shop around and become a headliner for one of the major deep waleted promotions like EliteXC, M-1 or HDNet Fights.

I was wondering about the same thing, it looked like an insult to me too. I guess someone could ask Mir how he felt about it. Bottom line, this is how UFC respects its own people. You’re good for them when you win but you could be bumped to 2nd place status at anytime, without a fight.

I got the same watch as Frank Mir. That is dope!
regardless of him getting submitted i would definitely pay another $45 to see lesnar fight anybody in the hw division. Seriously I see him beating everybody except the big time jits guys ala mir and minotauro…..tell me you wouldnt like to see lesnar fight
gonzaga, crocop, arlovski, kongo, herring, werdum, silvia..anybody…I know that gonzaga and werdum have nice bjj but i just dont think its good enough to submit lesnar hes a machine
Good AA is leaving UFC and hopefully CC follows!
I hope Lesnar fights Timmy next so Timmy can be DOA!

ok so basically they make the title holder or BETTING FAVOURITE come out setting, so basically mir was the underdog so he comes out second. as for the silva serra fighting in their opponents city no idea other than money from ticket sales
Why does Joe Lauzon look like an alien in those pictures?? Those ears just keep running away from his head.

dude i was wondering the same thing. a was totally pulling for lesnar in this fight, but it was messed up how mir came out first. the way i remember it was, “once a champ, always a champ.” that was total disrespect to mir! but mir’s a cool guy so i don’t think he will complain. but that was fucked up on ufc’s part.
Cool to see Hendo congratulating Nog.So much respect.

UFC decided Lesnar was the draw for the fight not Mir. UFC does not always respect it’s fighters, I think Couture said it best about “respect”. … the best thing to do about it for Mir was WIN.
I thought that was funny as hell when they were showing lesnars wrestling buddys in atendance, two of them were actually called champions by goldy in wwe or wcf or whatever its called. Lets be realistic hear how can you be a champion in something that is staged and coreographed and fake.
“Dan Henderson — either he’s loving life, or that’s just the shape his face has been beaten into.”
LAWLZ! I love Dan, but that was funny.

heh, i just said the same thing on the salary/pay day thread. His hammer fists looked weak and he was stupid for not throwing an elbow or straight shot instead cause Mir was dazed and confused. Hammer fists only left a few scratches and gave him time to recover. I think Brock just got caught up in the moment, and hopefully will utilize his striking a little better.

I was also wondering why the hell he wasnt dropping elbows on Mir’s face. I guess the atmosphere got the best of him. I have been critical of Brock, but I think he will do much bet6ter next time around.

The best part of the event was seeing all besides seeing Brock get subbed was Brock’s steriod crew From Bonds to Stone Cold with his Miller Lite. They must have felt so good going in but got made to look like fools like all the other Brockafiles out there.
To John - Who cares about the watch? But I Agree about Mir’s face looking Like Fedor’s post Choi.
To Short Swole Al - C’mon a Lesnar Fedor match? No way, Lesnar Fedor= No time soon.
To Da Monkey- The UFC is a business first and foremost so they were building up Brock. I’m sure Mir didn’t take it personally. Not to say that it was right but it was best for their marketing BS. Even worse was Lesnar Mir getting more press than Syvia Nog.
To roy- Think not, AA is UFC for life.
To NDKarl- Sorry, but Lesnar 0-1 in the UFC and isn’t a favorite to beat anyone right now at heavyweight in the UFC. Vera, Kongo, Werdum, Gonzaga, Sylvia, Crocop, Arlovski. Nog, Monson, O’Brien, Sanchez ,McCully, Herring all would take out Brock one way or another. So who will Brock fight and get a win in the division. Maybe Soa Palalei, Justin Eilers, or Antoni Hardonk but not surley. He’s got a rough road ahead. Not to mention if the UFC bring more talent to the division as they have been and there are alot of guys out there. Josh Barnet, Fedor,Couture, Fujita, etc……….Get over your WWE dreams for a while. Brock is far from ripe.

Are you serious? You think Jake O’Blanket beats Lesnar? Or The Insain 1 McCully? The only people who have a shot at beating Lesnar right now are guys with exceptional submission skills. only a fool would try to stand and bang with him now.

Of course not. He’s just one of those PRIDE fans/UFC haters that won’t let things go. Be a fan of the fighters, not the organizations.
Why would you want Cro Cop and AA to leave the organization that gives us and them the most exciting future matchups?? Is it because your “e-friends” on Sherdog told you it was cool to think like that?? Yeaaaaa, lets have the best HWs in the world in different organizations, so we can never see them fight!! Awesome!!!

Champion comes out last. Mir was not champion.
Also, maybe Frank Mir’s relatives and neighbor’s ordered this PPV because he was on the card. Other than that, everyone else that ordered it because they order every single UFC PPV, or they ordered it because of Brock Lesnar.

Since you got all the inside information, can you please start your own MMA website.
Didn’t say anything about them not hurting… but that’s glove burn buddy. Maybe one knot on his forehead, but that’s burn from the gloves from Brock’s repeated quick shots.
