Tim Sylvia: “The only person that can beat Tim Sylvia is Tim Sylvia.”

Oh yeah and a 44 year old small HW who is half a foot shorter than you. Sometimes Tim says some pretty funny stuff. He does deserve more credit than he gets though. I actually don’t mind him and would not be at all surprised if he got the UD over Nog.

Either Sylvia win by decision of Ngueira win by submission late in round 3.

I think people hate Sylvia because He couldnt fight his way out of a wet paper bag, and only wins cause of his size. It’s true too because most of his wins are decisions, when a champion should be a lot more dominant than that.

What’s up with Noguiera’s right eye? In the Pride highlights it seems to be bigger.

Not my favorite fighter but believe tim does deserve more respect. No he is not overly exciting. No he does not always seem to strive to finish it but he does generally win, and against pretty tough opposition (Ricco, Andre, Brandon)..ect. Thing I see most is even though he is big he is fairly technical with strikes. Not a back yard bully swinging for the fences (Tank, Kimbo, Sapp). Nog is tough. Very tough! But I see timmy landing a big straight right sometime in the third and holding that belt for a third time. Come on…bring on the boos…..

dood - kimbo aint no backyard ‘Bully’ the guy is organised - a bully would stomp on your face once your down….n he doesnt really swing for the fences either! thats why hes done so well on the streets, cuz hes got good boxing technique - when he chooses to use it that is - n i have to agree with u that Timmy deserves respect - he can go to hell for all i and every animal lover care - the dood shoots bears! fuk him

Tim Sylvia use to knock people out. If you look at his fight finder he has lots of knockouts but lately he seems t be boring fighter. I think Sylvia wins by decision

Tim needs to get back on his roids. Before he tested positive he fought to finish people and get the KO. Now he’s content to lean on dudes against the cage and smother them or use his freakishly long monkey arms to keep fighters of normal proportions away from him.

I was thinking about this last night…I forgot that I used to actually enjoy watching Tim fight….It seems like a very long time ago, but before ever winning a title, he was a tough dude who used to KO everybody. Rarely did his fights make it to a decision. He had killer instinct…and he used to get after it…..What the hell happened to him? He has now become the highest ranked fighter that I never want to see fight again. He hasnt finished a fight since the 2nd fight against Arlovski….Thats pathetic! How long ago was that fight? Since that fight he has been involved in some of the most boring decision wins ever seen in an octagon:
Arlovski vs. Sylvia 3……….Boring decision
Sylvia vs. Monson…..Very Boring Decision
Sylvia vs. Randy….Exciting decision, but only because Randy put a whooping on him
Sylvia vs. Brandon Verra…..Boring Decision.
Am I missing any fights?

With all the physical tools in the world and having a reach advantage over anyone…he has really become pathetic…. I cant stand him! I will be really pissed if he gets that belt back, because if you think he fights not to loose now (instead of fighting to win), wait till he gets that title back…then he really fights not to loose…Worst Champion in UFC history!

I think Noguerra has the most come from behind wins in the history of mma. Does anyone wish to refute this claim?

Nick Diaz has quite a few, Heath had a couple, but yeah Nog is definately up there.

I totally agree Tim can’t finsish anyone and Nog will only win by way of submission. Tim better try to stay on his feet.

As long as they put in a good showing, the loser of this fight still hangs around as a top contender. That said, both guys want the belt bad. Should be a very good fight. If I had to predict, I see Sylvia keeping it standing for most of the fight and Noguira’s face will be swollen to twice its normal size by the end.

God this is like a dream come true, fight of the century.

No but for real Nog is the last person i’d expect Tim to finish, or anybody to finish for that matter. I predict a boring boring, very boring split decision victory for somebody.
