So TRUE!! The other thing is people love to hate on dana which is cute. He is not going to let the UFC become the NFL and have guys get 5 million dollar signing bonus and then suck. The salary might not be so much but he offers those big Fight of the Night, Stop of the Night and so on. Imagine that people, being paid for preforming!

I would agree with that except look at the Leben fight, Chris has a SOLID chin, but it was still nothing for Silva. And yes it might have been 3 years ago but Leben did beat Cote.

I hope they scrapheap McCarthy vs. Bisping now that PPV is non-existant. If they can get a good fight set up, I certainly doubt Cote would opt for the announcer’s position.

I like Cote’s spirit and willingness to get in there with the champ. He won’t get that shot soon so the #1 contender talk is premature. I like the fact that he won (and quickly) which make it a possibility he gets added to the canadian card. A win there puts him at .500. He will have the time to get one more win after that and push himself to a winning record though which, with five straight wins, could warrant the title shot.

The reason for the extra time is this:
If Hendo wins, Silva gets an immediate rematch. What other champion deserves it more than him if he should lose? He certainly won’t need to climb up the ladder again.

If Silva wins, Okami is gonna be next in line and the Spider will get his shot at wiping out that loss on his record. (Should Tanner win vs. Yushin I think he gets the shot for “the amazing comeback” story.)

Either way, the dance floor is full and Cote will get a chance to earn his spot. First step towards that – Cote vs. Bisping in Canada. I would love to see that.

cote is one of my favorite fighters. having said that, he needs one more tough fight before getting the title shot. if okami beats tanner then he is next in line, if not okami get bumped and its all up to cote. calling out silva takes balls.

Cote should fight Bisping.

I want either Jmac or Cote to welcome Bisping to 185.
Jmac. who else is he going to fight? he’s sorta of stuck in the rankings.

Jmac beat Herman & Leiben, Herman beat Doerkson, Leiben beat Terry Martin. Jmac got ruled by Rich Franklin and then by Okami. Where the fuck can anybody go. No other division is so locked in like this one. Silva and Hendo at MW will only challenge each other. The gate keepers to those two are Rich Franklin and Yushin Okami who could defeat the either on any night. Nate Mardquardt (sp?) is the wild card that could rotate in and out of the top 5. All the rest ( Ex, Nate Quarry, Leiben, Rivera, Belcher, Drago, Scott Smith, McFedries, Lutter and Herman) Where exactly do these guys fit anymore. Does anybody think any of these guys are going to break out???

My breakout money is on Jmac whos ground game will only get more graceful and powerful. A guy whos not afraid to strike and will clearly start working on his up game. AND ALSO The Predator. I really Hope Cote is rededicated to win because he should have found success a long time ago. Thales Leites gets an honorable mention.

GIve Cote to Nate Quarry before Franklin and then the Champ if able to win those battles…??? we will see.
Please for the love of the Middle weight gods deliver us Robbie Lawyer, Martin Kampman, Jason Miller, and Paulo Filho.
The combinations of matches would almost seem endless.
THat being said as the UFC grows and more and more PPV seem to be necessary to fit everyone in a year, we as fans need to start demanding rising PPV cost and increased frequency. I appreciate paying money for it, but im not a fan willing to get gauged $45 twice a month either.

I like Cote vs Herman; or Cote vs Sakara. If he wins that, then I want to see Cote vs Franklin. I think Okami deserves the next title shot after Henderson.
