One of the better cards for a Fight Night that UFC has put together so far. So much for Parisyan vs Alves at UFC 84. Broomfield arena seats no more than 6,000 for a fight so this must be a feeling out process for a future PPV (hopefully).

This card is PPV material. This like many UFN will be fun for MMA fans to enjoy.

Florian and Lauzon both will be the other`s biggest test thus far. Lauzon has more experience than Kenny and has been training-chilling with Lw champ BJ Penn..Kenny will be the favorite, but not by much.

Bonner will be to much for Hammil IMO…Hammil should drop to 185 and take out Bisping.

Thiago Alves fighting Karo won`t mean much for title contention. Karo is the favorite and we know Thiago is dangerous, but Alves lost to Jon Fitch. If Karo beats Alves does that make him the number contender?? No no no no it doesn`t. Karo should be fighting Fitch on this card for the number contender spot.

Colorado gets a UFC event..The UFC was born in Colorado Nov. 12th 1993 if I`m my memory does not fool me. So it`s a good thing. It seems all UFC events recently flows between Vegas, Ohio, England, UFN-Florida. So it`s good to spread out the field as much as possible.

Wow, that is a great looking lineup. If they slapped a title fight onto card it’d be one of my most anticipated PPV events of the new year, but we’re getting it for free.

Thanks for everything Dana.

It’s amazing Lauzon has the experience advantage, because he is almost ten years younger than Florian. Also, I have to think that training with BJ “I-just-took-the-belt-easily” Penn, has to prepare him for whatever jiu-jitsu Florian is going to throw his way.

Bonner definitely takes Hammil. I think Bonner is a bit underrated.

And I wouldn’t be too surprised if Alves takes out Karo. If he can keep himself separated–in kicking distance–he stands an excellent chance of chopping down Karo’s legs. It doesn’t make him the # contender, though.

I can’t wait for this UFN. I’m totally looking forward to Joe vs. Kenny. I think it’ll be an amazing fight. These two guys are just so much alike. Kenny’s the slight favorite, but I’m gonna predict Joe to take it by a UD after 3 rounds of intense action. This kid is just so intelligent and such a quick learner, under the tutelage of BJ’s camp I think he’s gonna be a monster. Kenny’s sharper right now technically, but if you look at Joe’s last fight you can see how quickly he can pick up and execute new techniques (his arm trap rear hooks leading to the rnc was straight butter; totally got robbed of sub of the night).

Add to that his intensity, pace pushing and strength, I think he takes this one. Kenny’s a killer and he’s definitely gonna be the biggest test of Joe’s career.

I gotta say that although Joe has had more fights, Kenny has the advantage in the experience department. The guy has fought for a UFC championship. That goes a long way, and this is evident by how Kenny took his game to a new level after that loss to Sherk. That fight turned him into a stone cold killer. Also, UFC fights obviously hold more weight than fights at smaller promotions as far as experience and level of skill, and Kenny’s got much more of those under his belt than Joe.

Bonnar’s going to beat Hammill. Hammill’s got great wrestling, but this is MMA. He’s got little chance with this one.

Lastly, Karo vs. Alves should be a good fight, but Karo will win this fight. He’s come too far and too close to a title shot (twice) to drop this fight. He’s gonna come well prepared and with great intensity.

Sorry, Sherk was the biggest test of Kenny’s career. This one is second.

I’m really pulling for Joe in this one. It’s kinda hard because I know how much of a skilled fighter KenFlo is. This is a great free match for us fans.

Wow, that’s a sweet card for an Ultimate Fight Night.

Is this some sort of punishment for Karo for ducking out on the Fitch fight? I’m surprised to see Karo on an Ultimate Fight Night Card, not even in the main event.

Check out this UFC news:

* The UFC will hold an event at London’s 02 Arena in June.

* Germany will also host an event this year, as could Croatia, Ireland and Scotland.

* White confirmed that the UFC will never strip Randy Couture of the heavyweight title: “He’s got a half million of my money. He can fight. He can fight if he wants to. We’ll keep it (an interim title) forever. Believe me, we’ll hold on forever.”……..Dana is being a real A-hole…All this so Randy doesn’t fight Fedor….It will still happen, Dana cant stop it forever!

* Marcus Davis, who defeated Jess Liaudin for his 11th straight win (including his sixth straight in the UFC), again said he wants to fight former PRIDE lightweight champ Takanori Gomi in his next fight. This is like the 3rd Time Davis has called out Gomi….It would be a great fight

So Marcus Davis vs. Takanori Gomi…..WOW!!! I would love to see that. All UFC fighters are talking about Gomi like he already is in the UFC. I hope my source was right.

Also Kim Couture, Randy’s new mony hungry wife is looking to make her MMA debut in Febuary!

ohh yeah, big hit. It lost a unanimous decision. That sucks…

the big hit is the rumor that Shogun might be pulled from 84, now you’re just left with GSP and Serra and some random Canadian filler.

This free card is better than some of the recent PPV cards. I like Lauzon, but Kill-Flo has better technical skills and will stop Lauzon, who is in desperate need of a new nickname. Hammill seems to have fallen in love with his striking, and that’s just asking for trouble against a two-time Golden Gloves champ like Bonnar. Bonnar takes it by KO/TKO. Alves is going to be pissed that Karo is ducking top contenders but accepted a fight against Alves. That’s quite an insult to hurl at a guy who is 6-2 in the UFC and on a 4-fight win streak with the last three coming by TKO. I like Alves for the upset.

I like;
Karo over Alves
Burkman over Swick
just 4 the heck of it (I’ll take the underdog)
J-Lau over Kenflo
Matt over Bonnar

I LOVE THIS GAME!!!

Aside from the Penn vs Stevenson fight, this FIGHT NIGHT is already looking better than last nights card. I like Kenny Florian in the Joe Lauzon fight, but J-Lau has a very good chance of submitting him. Look for Swick to make a statement at 170 and take out Burkman. Bonnar over Hamil in a very good fight.

Great card! Hurry up April!!

We won’t even see the Swick vs Burkman fight :(

Does anyone know where on the internet I can see them live??

I think the UFC put Karo on the UFN for one reason…

HE WILL PUT OUT THAT NIGHT. Everyone knows Karo goes in wide slap open. And thats what the card needs. Putting it on in canada is not going to change the fact the event is gonna be a huge success.

I dont think its a punishment… MORE people will see this than a ppv. And will be a heck lot more happy and convinced to buy a ppv after seeing the fights. Burkman and Swick… If swick wins he will be on Karos tail. Karo may end up having to fight Swick if GSP wins and fight Fitch over the summer…

Don’t underestimate Alves, he’s stand up is insane, and his leg kicks are some of the best in MMA. He’s no slouch on the ground and his losses came early in his career in the UFC. I definitely think if he beats Karo, he solidifies himself as a contender in welterweight division. Lets not forget he trains with some of the best fighters in the world. Bad fight for Karo.

Disagree Phil, I think Florian’s biggest test thus-far was Sherk, with all Sherk’s accomplishments, having foughten GSP, Hughes, beatin Karo twice, how could Joe be considered a bigger test right now? Joe like you said is slightly the underdog for that reason I think, he is not quite as tested. I hope Joe will win, like him alot, that guy has a lot of potential. But I like FLorian to and agree he is slightly the favorite.
I believe we will see a very exciting ground war.
