Regarding Penn’s LW opponents – Sherk is by far the most accomplished, and best one in the division. When Penn beats him, I don’t see how anybody can make the argument for anybody else, like Huerta, Guida, Griffin. When he beats Sherk, I consider the division cleaned out. The only fighters that I could see even making a fight out of it would be Florian or Edgar, and they would still get dominated pretty hard.

Bj is great and all, but I doubt he will own Sherk. Bj hits hard, yet not as hard as those 3 knees Franca connected fully to Sherk chin without even phasing him. Sherk is a very strong wrestler who will power out of BJ’s submisions just like GSP and Hughes did (wearing BJ out in the process). Trying to RNC Sherk is like trying to choke a horse, same goes for armbaring those short stubby arms. I know BJ really improved his conditioning, but Sherk’s is insain. That being said, we don’t know how Sherk will come back.
If he is the same size, he was inocent.

Getting hit with knees in the forehead are one thing that is the strongest part of your body. People need to realize it it is not what landed but where it landed. A lnee to the face may hurt and blow your nose open but a lazy left behind the ear will drop the biggest opponents. So Sherk will get owned in stand up. Do you really Feel Sherk can do what GSP, Hughes, and MAchida couldn’t do?

You’re acting like I haven’t seen the fight when I mentioned that I’ve seen it about 7 times lol. Yes, Joe got dominated, but he had a chance to work some kind of strike/shoot strategy in the 2nd round but he did nothing but try to box with BJ before getting tagged up and dropped.

Also BJ didn’t drag Joe to the cage. Joe Rogan didn’t see it clearly but it was actually Joe pushing off from the bottom to get to the cage in order to use his legs to try to sweep off of it.
