tito is in for a beating. fans who dont know the first thing about martial arts need to understand machida’s skill. hes evasive, quick , powerful. his groundwork is as good as his standup.

Machida has beat the likes of BJ penn, rich franklin, sokoudjou and stefan bonnar. tito should decline this fight as he has nor the skill or speed to keep up with machidas counters. machida’s style is the only obstacle in between him and a fight with a UFC”protected” fighter such as chuck liddell.

when machida wins this fight, mr dana white will be in the tough position of having to offer more than a has been. unfortunately for dana that machida is too good to loose and therefore he will have to live with the fact that his iminent lightheavyweight champions style doesnt please the crowds

The light heavyweight division is Machida’s to lose.

At this point he is the most tactical fighter and he remains completely calm under pressure. He possesses a methodical approach unlike anything we’ve seen since Royce. He might night “finish” well enough for TV, but he’s unreal in his abilities.

As much as I enjoy watching Chuck and Tito (to a lesser extent, especially his recent stints) Machida has the chops to make them look like amateurs who don’t belong there.

I predict it’s only a matter of time before Machida is wearing the belt.

Just come out and say it, you love Tito. Dude, your screen name is freaking PUNISHMENT!! If Tito is not past his prime like you say, why wouldn’t fighting Machida be in his best interest? Wouldn’t that be a great opportunity to show what he’s got?

everyone wants a piece of tito wanderlei, machida, evans, belfort if tito wants to be a contender he needs to start fighting again or he can pull a randy and go to hollywood he already has one foot in the door

I don’t know if this will happen. I’d bet Tito will be asking for Shogun or Wanderlei next. Maybe even Jardine.

Although you might say Tito is a bad matchup for Lyoto since he’s a small LHW I still think he’d pull it off.

Surely the guy has to get a titleshot sooner or later.

Oh shit, are you the guy “john” that was on the Sherdog forum that said Fedor had signed with teh UFC and was keeping it DL? And used that SAME evidanced “hey remember when I called that Werdum will fight AA?” I hope this turns out better then the Fedor thing did.

Machida is the best!!!! he will the next Champ!!! his style is similar to Bruce Lee…So far I haven’t seen anyone come close to finishing him..so I don’t know why poeple say he’s borning (i guess if you don’t know martial art then you would think Machida is boring). Tito won’t have a chance with Machida…Haven’t you seen his last fight with Chuck, Tito can’t even throw a punch he look so slow…Machida will TKO him in the first 2 min.

Im a tito fan and i hope he takes this fight to a least try to shut up the people that are always saying hes wash up and taking about “old tito” all the time. He talks about wanting his title back but yet he wants to go into the movie buiness. So he needs to man up take this fight and win decisively or else he proves that hes washed up and doesnt want to fight anymore. And thats just plain disapointing.

i think tito will still have a career in the ufc but his reign is long over.no one thinks twice about fighting tito any more.with all the new and up coming talent tito reign of terror is gone bye bye.he to worried about being a rock star and not a fighter.it is hard not to like him though….at least on my part.i’d pick tito by a long…very long 3 rnd decision…
