To point out that a fighter has heart is WAY overused here, I’ve said this before on other subjects and fighters but the point remains the same: All of the fighters that compete in the UFC or any organization and sport all have heart, they have to in order to compete and stay motivated!
As far as talent and charisma go, this is hand to hand combat not Miss Universe and by the way Wanderlei would still be the runner-up!

Finally, to say that Wanderlei wanted a KO and not a win is a big, steaming pile of horse sh***! Win by KO or decision, a win is a win, is a win! Chuck came to the fight with a better game plan, bigger reach and more weapons and utilized his entire arsenal. Hell, he went Cal Poly Mustang and used his wrestling skills on the BJJ Black Belt! Wanderlei could only do so much, he couldn’t close the distance and utilize his clinch and knees, not because he couldn’t but because Chuck wouldn’t allow him to. Wandy brought a knife to gun fight!

i’ll tell you this… if you believe that then my point is proven. there’s no way chuck should’ve won. none. chuck made the ufc sooo much money its rediculous and i won’t knock his skill but come on. there’s no way he should’ve won a decision. the only way wandy loses is by lucky knockouts. seemed fixed to me to keep the u.s. fans up chucks ass. all i’ve got to say. i’ll garauntee you that if fedor and captain america fought in the ufc they’d make fedor lose too, i’ll bet that’s why he’s not in the ufc. you know that’d never happen in real life.

They left everything in the Octagon. To say that Chuck was somehow disrespectful for fighting to the point of exhaustion is ridiculous. It was his respect for his opponent that made him stall for time at the end of round 3. He didn’t have another flurry in him. He did his best to KO Wandi in the 3rd. When the best he put out didn’t knock him out, what’s he supposed to do?

Bull! To score the fight 29-28, 30-27, 30-27 is an insult to the intelligence of MMA fight fans! Chuck deserved to win the fight, but there is no way that in round one or two he dominated Wanderlei enough to deserve a 30-27 score. This is especially true in round 2 since Wanderlei manage to drop Liddell. That round should have been Wanderlei`s or at least a draw. To say Liddell beat him down in all three rounds is pure rubbish!

What? How lame of a comment is this?! Didn’t you watch that big fight on December 29th? Pride rules or not, Wanderlei got his a** handed to him on a platter, Dude! Couldn’t get close enough to put together a combination and when he did get Ice down HE COULDN’T FINISH! Chuck beat him down all three rounds!

I think that Wanderlei earned a lot more respect in that fight than Chuck did. I’m not taking anything away from Liddell, he fought hard against a world class opponent, and did what he needed to do to earn the win. However, I have not seen any other fighter take so many shots to the Jaw (other than Wesley “Cabbage” Corriea against Tim Sylvia) and still have a chance to win. I was really dissapointed when Chuck was looking up at the clock and trying to milk the time. I gained a new respect for Wandy in that fight and I really want him to find success inside of the octagon.
