I think Hughes said it best when he said he didnt think that Serra was a top knoch fighter, and yet said that Gsp belonged.
Serra was lucky, any one can get cought and Serra knows that the best, Gsp has redeemed him self after evey lose I know and I think hes burning to do the same with Serra. He want to prove he deserves the belt and I think he will most certainly do it. " You dont earn respect with your mouth
You earn it by what you do.

And Serra has got a big mouth but yet to prove anything.

I for won't be surprised if gsp either tko's or submits serra, but will be if serra does either of those to gsp. I was shocked at the way gsp owned hughes on the ground, I know serra as a pure bjj specialist is better than gsp but this MMA not a bjj contest.
GSP lost to Serra on his feet and I think that GSP will want his revenge served standing. GSP makes it a point to take it straight to the heart of the opponents strengths. Choosing to out wrestle Kos and Hughes as well as sherk and Trigg are prime examples. In this case Serra's strength is the ground but since Serra took it to GSP's strength (the stand up) in there last fight, I expect that GSP will opt to keep this fight standing and technically pick serra apart. His stand up is so strong and probably the best in the division and since Serra beat him in that aspect I strongly expect that GSP will go for the KO in this one.

Does Serra have a shot, of course he is a well rounded vet who has fought tough guys but I think he wont be as mentally strong or confident in this one as he was in the last one because he wont have the shock factor on his side in this one. GSP will be even more focused then he was last week against Hughes and when a fighter like GSP or Anderson Silva have that look in there eye, it doesn't really matter what the opponent has, there superior skills take over to an overwhelming affect
and the the opponents end is sure to be near!
Exactaly, John and more than ever GSP will want to beat his opponent at his own game. None of these other guys (Kos,Hughes Trigg,Sherk...)embarassed him and took his belt the way Sera did. I wouldn't be surprised if GSP takes it to the limit and bangs him up real good and then slaps a sub on him, really adding insult to injury. No excuses, Sera won that fight,he was the better fighter that night. By doing so he made Gsp a better, more determined fighter who won't take a fight now if his personal life messes up his head.
We will throw a big party again when Serra wins. I was confident that Serra would win the first match and that is NO FLUKE. Serra will shut everyone up for good with the DEATH of GSP.

There is always a big after party when Serra wins, VERY big!
You guys should come out!!:)[/quot sorry , i wont be able to make it.....i'll be to busy at our own party "BIG PARTY" up here in the great white north, when GSP tears threw the "terra" serra, but hey maby u'll get lucky and somebody will give u a ticket so u can come UP to the real party "BIG PARTY".......u guys should come out!!!!............LOL
what i was trying to say, is maybe serra is gsp's kryponite.. if serra was such an underdog in that fight, how could he have just gone in there and completely nuteralized gsp's standup and knock him out? you obviously have a huge hard on for gsp and believe too firmly in statics.. just because he hasnt done anything recenlty doesnt mean he cant do anything in the future, you know? JUST because he didnt come in to the fight game knockin out top guys and throwing everybody around like rag dolls, doesnt mean he isnt capiable of it now. you dont know serra, you dont know how he's training, if he's improving, if gsp isnt improving... you know, its a fight, ANYTHING is possible, and anything can happen, just because gsp has beaten the who's who of the ww division doesnt mean that he can beat everybody out there, everyone has a weakness was the point of my last comment, everyone has someone out there that they cant beat, and i wasnt saying serra is gsp's unbeatable opponent, i was simply saying, there is chance that is possible. and you took my comment way way way too seriously bro, you really got to relax, i never once said that serra does have gsp's number, and yea its so easy to blame a loss on not being prepared or not focusing, thats such a cop out, why is it SOOOO hard to believe that maybe serra's style just doesnt match well to gsp.. not everyone is going to walk into a fight with gsp and fight the same fight, everyone is going to do something different to try to win, serra did the absolutely perfect thing to win, he didnt make 1 mistake at all, and was never in a bad spot, against such a highly profiled fighter.. but yet, serras a chump, serra cant do anything, he hasnt accomplished anything, sure sure sure.. whatever say what you will, but that loss will always be on gsp record, and serra doesnt have to go out there and prove anything, he already proved he could knock out gsp, he proved he is championship material, gsp is the one that has to redeem himself and show that yea, maybe it was a fluke, maybe it was a lucky punch, and if it doesnt do it convincingly, he's not going to put those theorys to rest
Sera won that fight fair and square. He was the better fighter that knight. Gsp lost that fight before he even entered the cage. Did you see how nervous he was before the fight? I did, and I thought, oh shit, he is going to lose. If he got too cocky and believed his own hype, why was he so nervous? He should've been confident as hell if that was the case. You say , "It sounds like a cop out". That's easy to say when it's not your cousin who died and not your Father who had a brain disease. Anyone would be messed up going through that and only someone who hasn't lost a loved one would doubt it. Sera could be a bad matchup for GSP , but that fight wasn't very telling and anyone who thinks it was is in for a rude awakening when a 100% Gsp shows up this time.

Just because more people like him now doesnt mean it's all bandwagoning. As he got involved more and more in bigger fights, as he stepped up the latter more and more and finally took the belt, more and more people heard about him, more and more people were introduced to the crazy talent, athletiscism, and permanent top contendar that is GSP. It just makes sense.
IT's like..."Ya know, the more and more this guy is around, the more and more he accomlishes, the mroe people talk about him"..........NO, YA THINK!!!
You are absolutely right, there are people out there that aren't on his bandwagon. But the majority of the people that claim to be his so called "fan" haven't been a fan since he took the belt. Are you seriously telling me that you don't know of one person that started liking him after he beat Hughes? It's like saying there is no one out there that started liking the Steelers or New England or whoever after they won the Super Bowl.

Come on, people have jumped on his bandwagon ever since he took the belt away from Hughes. Before that fight, you didn't hear anything about GSP, now everyone talks him up like he's the best thing to happen to this sport. Believe me, I like GSP as much as the next person, and I have liked him since I started watching the UFC.
ive liked GSP long ago, when he was beating guys like nick diaz, frank trig, and was very dominate in all his fights, i think and i know most others do as well, that GSP is the best WW around, he got caught by serra which in MMA is always a possiblility, since his loss to serra he has been even more dominate, and he has beaten fighters serra would have no chance against. So everyone who thinks serra is one of the best WW needs to come back down to earth, compare serra to some of the top WW's, he doesnt compare to good IMO, and im sure alot of other peoples opinions as well. I cant believe cause of one fight so many people think serra is a top WW and will beat GSP and hughes among others, i know its nice to dream but get real.
Frank Trigg is a bum, and never fought Nick Diaz,so called long time fan! get your bandwagon....i mean your facts right
