I would like to see:
Chuck vs. Shogun (strike fest)
Chuck vs. Machida (would be a great chess match between 2 strikers with the best footwork in mma)
Soko vs. Houston
Jardine vs. Tiago
Wandy vs. Rashad or Hendo (if he looses to Anderson)
I would love to see Chuck get it on with Machida. I would like to see if Chuck takes it to the ground with Machida.
Would like to see Chuck vs Thiago Silva or possibly Machida, I dont care to see Chuck vs Jardine again, that fight doesnt make sense, if Jardine wins so what? he already beat Chuck it does nothing for him, if Chuck loses, he drope WAY down the ladder again! Jardine should face Shogun, and then the winner of Machida/Liddel or Silva/Liddel should face winner of Jardine/Shogun for next challenger for the belt.
Just wondering why you think Shogun should be in line for a belt as a newcomer who lost to forest griffen? Shouldnt it be forest who should be in line?

Please, enough witht he Jon Fitch title shot nonsense. he doesn;t deserve it. Yet.

When he beats one of the top five WWs then, like everyone else (leaving Matt Serra's gift shot out of it), he can get a title shot.

Let's face it - Fitch is an up and comer but he's not beaten any top flight opponents other than Sanchez and that was by a split decision. Carneiro, Fiorvanti, Hironaka, Alves, Burkman and Larson. Not exactly title contenders.

Match Fitchie against Karo, Kos, Hughes and Serra (when he loses to GSP).
After GSP takes care of Serra, I want to see GSP against John Fitch.
Hell yeah, I hope they get teh WW belt moving along, I wanna see a couple of decisive defenses by GSP, there are still a couple of poeple out there who could POTENTIALLY give GSP a nice fight, Karo would be cool to see, Fitch could be a good fight, although I think his only option would be lay and pray, which after GSP's fight the other night, that option has gone out the window.
The hughes/penn 2 fight was fight of the night, which means competitive and going back and forth. The gsp/hughes 3 fight was very one sided and humiliating to hughes, it didn't win fight of the night and was won by the liddel/silva fight and rightly so as it was very competitive. Penn did in fact dominate hughes in both rounds 1 and 2 and probably only lost the, fight because of the rib injury though we'll never really know and can only speculate. Gsp/hughes 3 was crazy, I've never seen anyone own hughes like than nobody has ever out muscles hughes like that before that I've ever seen. Penn out skilled him and has ridiculous flexibility which enabled him to get hughes back in the second fight. Gsp owned hughes in ever possible way, like someone mentioned earlier silencing hughes fans who thought hughes would own gsp on the ground.
Well im not a hughes fan so much but ill admit I totally though hughes would have a SLIGHT advantage on the ground. GSP silenced me no joke about that.
I guess I just didnt notice as much as you, how people were shocked when Penn beat Hugehs.
And as far as your fight of the night arguement. Im not sure it was necessarily because Penn/Hughes was more competitive then GSP/Hughes, I do think GSP did dominate a little more however, Penn and Hughes that night had no competition, what was there Swick/Louaso?(sorry butchered his name). While the GSP and Hughes fight of the night competition was going up against Chuck/Wandi as well, which was impossible to beat, that was an awsome fight.
However, styles makes fights, and my point was simply that decisively beatign Hugehs is nothing taht Penn hasnt done before, weather it wasnt quite as much as GSP or not is more trivial to me, he made Hughes look like he wasnt even at his level, so to claim that GSP is a heavy favorite over Penn, judging by this fight, is not very logical in my mind.
Fact is they are both the best, that's teh one thing I am sure of, so there paths will cross sometie in the next two years, it has to, i'm so sure of it, that me and my buddy already have a future 100 dollar bet on it haha.

Out grappling and submitting Matt Hughes in a dominating fashion is huge. We've seen in GSP's last two fights that he approaches the standing aspect very cautious and avoids multiple punch exchanges in the pocket, and i'll be very surprised if we see GSP knock anybody out standing up ever again.
From the dominance he displayed over one of the most well conditioned, highly skilled and accomplished fighters, we may see a reign of dominance equivalent to Matt Hughes era in the WW division.
Funny I never see comments like this when Penn dominated Hughes on the ground twice. Don't get ahead of yourself.
Where were you? People were completely shocked the first time and penn lost the second time but almost everyone credited him as to being the better fighter. Gsp's domination of hughes the third time around was much more impressive to me than penns fight the second time. In hughes/penn 2 the first round was close, one of the judges gave the round to hughes, I totally disagree and think penn obviously won that round, not total domination though. Second round hughes gets penn down is ground and pounding a bit then penn gets his back almost submits him but it looked like hughes was getting out of it at the end. Round 3 penn is hurt and gassed and hughes easily dominates him and wins but tko. Not a lot like gsp/hughes 3 if you asked me, gsp over powered hughes, out grappled him was quicker than him , out wrestled him, total domination. It's kind of ridiculous arguing penn/hughes 2 vs gsp/hughes 3 when penn lost badly in penn/hughes 2, what ever. Penn is a stud though don't get me wrong and like I said before I feel he's more naturally talented than gsp but gsp has a killer work ethic and is extremely well trained and in amazing shape right now. I've never seen him look so buff and sharp, hopefully penn gets his conditioning and strength to match his talent because if he did he would be next to impossible to stop.

BJ "The Prodigy" Penn vs. Georges St. Pierre 2.
yes...me too.no way in hell BJ would lose again.
I completely agree.
If the same fighter show's up who fought hughes in ufc 79 bj penn would be utterly destroyed, no contest.
I notice when a fighter dominates ONE fight everyone jumps on the bandwagon and say's he's unstoppable. I truly believe that GSP will NOT beat BJ PENN again. I will say again that BJ PENN did gas in his last fight with GSP, but it will never happen again. He has a new strength and conditioning coach and his coach will take care of his cardio regimen. I have not yet seen ANYONE DOMINATE BJ Penn in a fight, including the 205 pound Lyoto Machida. BJ PENN has a lot more skill than GSP, but GSP has the power. However the UFC 79 match betweem MACHIDA and Sokudjou should prove that skill is A LOT more valuable than strength.
I think BJ Penn is an incredible fighter way better than his record or loses to hughes or GSP indicates. However, I think GSP will imploy his wrestling tatics like last time and lay n' pray in order to beat BJ Penn. Also, I hate to question this since I like GSP a lot, but his strength difference against Hughes was ridicilous and performance enhancing substances seem suspect to me. GSP was getting stronger and more aggressive as the fight went on and out muscled Hughes, it just didn't seem like he could possibly be that much stronger than Hughes, it was just such dominating a performance in the muscle and stamina department.
Some people just don't age as well, and i am also wondering if GSP getting a bit stronger, was combined with that fact taht maybe hughes is starting to decline and his huge strength ability over everyone is the first thing to go, I mean he hasnt fought in a while, and his Lytle fight also was VERY mediocre, as far as out muscling goes.
I hope that's the case, I know Hughes is not big on lifting weights and I'm sure GSP is... it could be as you said Hughes is physically declining, but also in mental toughness since he's been thinking about retiring... I was and still am however questioning that strength difference GSP wasn't just a bit stronger, he was alot stronger and certainly was getting stronger as the fight went on... but it could simply be that GSP is in his peaking prime of age and training and Hughes is declining... I hope we never hear anything about a failed drug test from GSP.

I hope that’s the case, I know Hughes is not big on lifting weights and I’m sure GSP is… it could be as you said Hughes is physically declining, but also in mental toughness since he’s been thinking about retiring… I was and still am however questioning that strength difference GSP wasn’t just a bit stronger, he was alot stronger and certainly was getting stronger as the fight went on… but it could simply be that GSP is in his peaking prime of age and training and Hughes is declining… I hope we never hear anything about a failed drug test from GSP.
