ufc 82 tickets
Last week we passed along a bit of news regarding the UFC Fight Club ticket presale for UFC 82: “Pride of a Champion” set for Saturday, March 1, 2008, at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

Yesterday the UFC released complete details about how to purchase seats for the monster pay-per-view event.

Here’s the skinny:

UFC Fight Club Presale: Thursday, December 27 at 10 a.m. ET
Newsletter Presale: Saturday, December 29 at 10 a.m. ET
General Ticket Sale: Sunday, December 30 at 10 a.m.

Now the usual disclaimer: UFC 82: “Pride of a Champion” tickets will be available for purchase through Ticketmaster.com or StubHub.com. (Note: StubHub often has seats available even if the event is “sold out.”)

Keep in mind that UFC tix in the past for Ohio events have gone fast — UFC 68 and UFC 77 were both sold out shows. Therefore, it’s more than likely in your best interests to purchase tickets sooner rather than later if you plan to attend this one.

And it’s going to be a ridiculous night of fights.

In fact, the main event between UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva and Pride FC 183-pound champion, Dan Henderson, is insane. It’s certainly going to be among the top match ups of 2008 and could wind up being an instant classic.

Talk about a fantastic showdown. I giggled when I saw the UFC 82 poster in my inbox this morning. Maybe I’m just super gay, but this is one fight that I can’t wait to witness with my own eyes.

The rest of the card is shaping up nice with stars such as Jon Fitch, Josh Koscheck and others penciled in to compete in the Buckeye State. Check out the rest of the rumored UFC 82 bouts right here.

This fight is going to be a BRAWL, but very technical. I really hope that this fight goes at least a couple of rounds so we can all witness the greatness of Anderson Silva vs Dan Henderson. Altough, I would be more than happy to accept a Dan Henderson win in the very first minute of the first round.

I think that Ohio is getting waaaaay too many events. This is what, the 3rd event in the past year? There are just as many events in Ohio as there are in Las Vegas. And the same can be said for England as well. The UFC needs to get back to Mohegan Sun, or anywhere in my area that doesn’t have a main event containing Michael Bisping or Rashad Evans.

Dan Henderson is battle tested and proven other than Couture he held two titles in different weight classes..but at the same time. He has been named as legend of mma..IMO..Silva has yet silence the critics. Him beating Henderson there is no one currently in the ufc or on this planet that can beat him now.

this is probably one of the best matchups the ufc has put out there in a long time. i really dont care who wins as long as its a good fight in which it should be.

If Dan can’t beat Silva , I can’t think of anyone that can beat him. Dan is no pushover. War!

NOTE TO OTHER MW CONTENDERS: You’re still going to have to wait. And yes it blows someone new to the UFC MW division gets a title shot right away, but dollars make $en$e!

Dan Henderson is a MMA legend and the pride 185 champ. That is why he is getting a crack at Silva.

man i think this is gonna be,either really good or a borefest, no in between.they will come out clubbering or tentive.because each know what they can do to each other.im leaning toward hendo more than spida.its close.spida is a great striker but hendo’s got a head like a rock.im not sure how spida take a good shot.

there is plenty of people out there im sure of it – remember the red devil crew aint allowed in the UFC, im sure they have an elite MW fighter. But one fighter for sure that will put a harsh challenge on silva is Jacare Souza – hes still in the shadows, but as randy couture cant beat him in a grappling match, i dont think silvas clinch will work on him either. We hardly get any news on Souza! whats goin on!?

LOL, name me 1 MW contender worthy of a title shot? Dan Henderson could have signed a contract with the UFC 4 years ago and been given an instant title shot. You obvisously have never seen PRIDE before…

I’m totally cool with Dan getting a title shot. It will be interesting to see what he does if he loses.

There is something still bugging me though. How can he call himself the Pride MW champion if PFC has ceased to exist? Don’t you have to have events to have a champion? It’s all pretty annoying if you ask me.

Jacare..per what John put me on to..will be one of the mw’s of tUf season 7. If Anderson would fight Jacare in a Grappling match then..yeah his in trouble..but in MMA I don’t think Jacare is seasoned enuff to hang with the Silva in the octagon.

I wouldnt be suprised if dana will be pulling for silva to retain his title because he is already under contract while henderson on the other hand is still going off of his pride contract which this is his last fight on that contract so dana probably figures that dan is getting older now and is training his own fighters at team quest and if he loses he wont have to cough up the big bucks to sighn Dan.

The only problem is Dan is not just going to beat A silva he is ganna make him look bad in the process. Not only that Dan will want to be compensated very well for a new deal and he will leave MW to go back to LHW because like he said why should I cut wieght and fight at MW when I can eat what I want at kick the shit out of the fighters at LHW. I just want to see danas reaction right after the ref pulls henderson off of silva

If Jacre were ready to compete against anderson silva then he wouldnt be on TUF….Jacre excellent on the ground, I hope he lands with team Rampage, cuz rampage will teach him a thing or 2 about striking.

PhilqNY: does you or ne one else know how Jacre’s English is?

Nah..I can assume it’s most likely Wandy’s english level 5 years ago. I’m sure he will be catching up on the english classes..this is his MMA star search debut..he ain’t stupid. Just expect some broken english ” like Ricksons ( CHOKE ) ” you got to flow with the go “…hheheheehehe..Jacare will have that deep brazilian accent.

I hate it but i love it.. I love anderson, but just like his fight with rich, i hope dan wins. I dont want to see either of these guys lose. I dont want to see dan retire. And i read in an interview that he is getting close to doing that. That would suck.

As long as a fighter is trying to speak English, I am cool with that. I am very excited to see how his grappling will translate to mma, and whether he can pull it off while getting punched in the face.

I am surprised that the UFC didnt extend Dan’s contract before giving him a shot at the title. The truth is Silva is the best in the MW division right now, but Henderson is very capable of beating Silva. With that being said I think its stupid of Dana to give a title shot to probably the only guy capable of dethrowning the Most exciting, and dominant Champion in the UFC without extending Dan’s contract 1st. If Hendo beats Silva the UFC risks someone defeating your company’s best champion and then not re signing and walking away from the organization. With Dana being so hard headed and “cheap”, this isnt a far fetched senario, and that scares me.

Hopefully the UFC can get a deal done on a contract extension before the fight in March so this doesnt happen, and instead of worying will Dana’s cheap ass resign Hendo or not, we can sit back and enjoy the 2nd major Unification bout in MMA history, between 2 of the best middleweight fighters ever seen in the sport.

Yes its his last fight of his PRIDE CONTRACT. Dan is still fighting off of his PRIDE contract. Once that expires, he is epxected to negotiate with the UFC. But everyone is right, they should get the deal ironed out prior to the fight with Anderson.
